Location was excellent for us - looking to do day walks in local area. Room was excellent with huge bath - a big reward after many miles each day as now in my late 60's. Breakfast was superb - we only needed the 'Small Breakfast' which was great quality, proper bacon and everything tasted how it should! The 'big breakfast' read as twice the size and even though I have big appetite would have really taken some eating !! - Good Luck. Evening meals were also good. Proper tasting Burger - good portions - very friendly staff. Having a pair of binoculars in the room to view the wildlife from the window was a real nice touch even though tide was out most the time we were using room. Overall an excellent place to stay and we felt lucky to have been able to book 1 of only 2 rooms here. Thank You.

We were greeted with complete courtesy despite arriving during an exceptionally busy Sunday lunchtime. Our room was spotless and well equipped, including a small fridge (seldom seen in the UK), tea and coffee making facilities (Kettle and coffee machine). My lady was delighted to see a bath (her holiday luxury). It was our own fault that we did not realise that the kitchen is closed on a Sunday evening (and seeing the throng at lunchtime a fair one...) We found a workaround. After our walk in the local area once again delighted to enjoy a local band playing. The bar was buzzing with an eclectic mix of locals and visitors; indeed the night was a blast! We stayed a second night in fact due to the convivial atmosphere. Dinner on our second night was delicious; served in generous portions, washed down with a fine pint of ale or 3.
Breakfast the following 2 mornings was an absolute feast both days; one of the best I have had for many months. The Inn is now on our list of favoured short getaway destinations across the Border (we live in Devon).
Quaint village. Friendly atmosphere. Stunning views. Great pubs (food). Village store. Narrow streets with no parking but council car park close by. Not a great place if you are physically challenged.

Booked a place to stay as we were attending a wedding close by. What a hidden gem we found!!
Beautiful linking streets with well kept houses/gardens, amazing architecture. We enjoyed daily strolls in/around Kingsand and Cawsand and spotted something new everytime!!
Friendly locals met on our walks, visiting the Rising Sun pub and Shipshape gift shop (we found some quirky hand crafted gifts here and the owner was so lovely!!)
Highly recommend The Bay for delicious food and great service (twice!)
A night stroll lead us to crashing waves at the clock tower.... it was something magical!
Our time run out, and there's still so much to do and see.... we WILL return!!

Cawsand is a beautiful place to escape to, full of character. Nice beach and situated on the coast path. If you're feeling active, you can swim, walk, kayak etc. If you want to chill, you can can enjoy the pubs and cafes or just sit on the beach with an ice cream looking at the beautiful views. Even when it's busier, Cawsand never feels spoilt.

It is a beautiful quiet place so wonderfully unspoilt with very few shops or entertainment. Great walks nearby, very small quiet beach. Not a good place for cars, but good car parks but they get full in the summer very quickly

It was a welcome change to visit somewhere that was true to itself rather than over commercialised. Perfect place to turn the TV and phone off and listen to the waves, wander around and talk to others,

The apartment was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. The weather wasn't great but you could just sit and stare at the stunning view if necessary. A wonderful location and we'll be back!
We stayed in the 3 bed cottage.
Location was stunning and a lovely walk to Cawsand village.
Pool was great, and booking meant it was fair and every cottage could have pool to themselves for an hour a day
There was a beautiful terrace, stunning view, with built in barbecue.
Had everything we needed - cafetiere, measuring jugs - that type of thing.
Teresa and Phil are the new owners, and despite being thrown in at the deep end - taking over just before the peak season- they were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
One Downstairs bedroom.
Lovely spacious and modern room! Very clean and good bathroom.
Easy distance to the coastal footpath for walks. We were there for a wedding at Polhawn Fort and this was a great distance for that!
The owners were lovely and they had a cute little dog wandering around!
Very spacious grounds at the front of the property if you want to relax.
Very good wifi!
It’s about 20min walk into Cawsand along the country lane or less than 5 minute drive with cheap car parks in town.
Coombs house is located close to all the local amenities in Cawsand/Kingsand aswell as being close to parks and beaches. The breakfast was lovely, recommend the mushrooms 😋 Jen has a wealth of knowledge about the area and is always on hand to provide ideas of places to visit. She booked us our table for when we arrived at the local pub! Which was great because it was very busy. We would definitely recommend Combe house and will be staying again.
Excellent location, so peaceful with wildlife on the doorstep and lovely coastal walks nearby. wonderful for dog owners as you have use of large field for walks and play. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Easy access to local areas Millbrook, Cawsand and Kingsand all within walking distance. Beautiful fishing villages with dog friendly pubs/restaurants with amazing views.
I had a lovely stay at Coombe House for a wedding at Polhawn Fort. Jen was so helpful and friendly! She gave great tips about the local area. The room was quiet and spotless, and the B&B is within a quick walk of Cawsand and a short taxi away from Polhawn Fort. Breakfast was excellent especially the homemade marmalade! I would love to return again for a holiday.
Host Jen was lovely nothing too much trouble, gave us some good local advice on where to visit. Breakfast amazing didn’t need any lunch. Was just a gentle stroll to the centre of Cawsand and beach.
