Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

The "Sabzi" cafe is great for vegan persian themed food, daily changing menu, a sample box is enough food for two people two meals. The Charity shops have more men's wear than most: Jackets, Shoes.

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)

The was room exactly as described & hotel set within a beautiful garden. The hotel was exceptionally clean everywhere. The gym, sauna, steam room & pool easy to access & use. The breakfast offered an excellent choice & was delicious. The staff were friendly & helpful. Excellent service. I took an evening walk down to the quays & the taxi fare back was very reasonable. I wont hesitate to see if there are any vacancies when next wanting to stay in the Falmouth area for business or a hotel holiday.

It was my second stay at Poltair and was just as enjoyable as the previous one. This place is a gem: comfortable beds, large room with a lovely view and a little balcony. This is a small guest house and the owners take very good care of the place and their guests. The staff are all lovely. There are many little extra touches too, such as a little bottle of wine and chocolate in the room on arrival. I will definitely choose them again when I am next in Falmouth.

The hotel room itself was clean. We didn't use the kitchen but when we poked our head in it looked clean. The price was good for Falmouth. The room was spacious and had what we needed for a short stay. The door codes were helpful as we didn't need to bring an actual door key around with us. The car park was up a steep angle for our poor little car, but it was good that there were spaces. The bathroom was small but nice.

Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Great breakfast choice....and they were also happy to make a sandwich to take away. Rooms very clean and super comfortable super king size bed. Two minutes walk from a very nice beach, 2 hotels with bars within a few minutes walk. Hotel in same road has two very nice restaurants. About 12 minutes walk from Falmouth town which has many bars and restaurants.

This is our second stay at the Falmouth Hotel. We had an awesome room with plenty of space to sit comfortably overloooking the fantastic view. The room was very clean and super king bed exceedingly comfortable. The also extra-roomy bathroom included a great shower over the bath, large fluffy white towels, with robes and slippers. So easy to sit back and relax

The location was excellent, overlooking a lovely bay. It was a really nice walk along the pavement either way, and the beach was only a few minutes away. Also a pretty easy 20 minute walk to Falmouth centre. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. Loved the extra terraced area to sit outside and admire the bay view.

This is a great hotel in a brilliant location. It’s right in the centre of Falmouth by the harbour. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also had a lovely dinner on the terrace overlooking the quay lights. I can also recommend the Steak Frites on the lunch menu. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Such a great place, when I booked I was just looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights as I just needed a room to stay in. The room was immaculate, loads of plugs. Free WiFi, new tv with loads of channels without the faff. I genuinely loved it and would chose it over a hotel next time I’m in Falmouth!
