A great central location. Our room overlooked the Grand Central Station. It was fascinating to be able to watch the terminal from our hotel room. I will say there was some noise from the station even with the windows closed, but we found it comforting as we are used to city noise. The room and bathroom were quite large and clean. The bed was so comfortable we overslept both days we were there.

I went to university in Glasgow many years ago, it has changed a lot but is still very vibrant and buzzy! Lots of bars, coffee spots and restaurants to choose from. The West End is nicer than the City Centre and not too far out of the city to travel.
Recommend Rab Ha's for traditional Scottish food, Singl-End is a great brunch spot but booking is required.

It's a quiet place with good shopping areas that are all walking distance. Restaurants are also cross-cultural, so you can explore different cuisines. I loved how the locations are close to each other - you can take leisure time in going around and still be on time for your next bus or train schedule.

The people are so friendly!
The people are so friendly! Even though the weather might be a bit bad (windy and rainy), the people make up for it! They have nice parks and nature, as well as pretty architecture. I was only there for three days, but I would love to come back and explore more.
I have celiac disease which often makes traveling hard, but I had no problem finding gluten-free options in Glasgow.

The hotel was walkable distance to the city centre and a variety of restaurants. Kevingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Park and the University of Glasgow. The room was not like the pictures on the profile but it still look good and clean. The room was spacious, had sufficient storage for a short stay, clean and spacious bathroom with good hot water flow. The guest house is generally clean. The reception was in the building across and the host was really friendly. There is a lot of parking around the area and it is free between 6pm to 8am.
One of the best hotels we've stayed at in Glasgow City centre I cannot fault anything I told them when I booked it that it was my partners birthday and they did not disappoint. So clean and spacious well situated and the reception staff sonny especially were amazing 10 out of 10 will definitely be back thank you for making my partners birthday night away special. Also the price of the room for a Friday night was great. I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed staying at this hotel.
the hotel was absolutely stunning staff could not have been more helpful. The deal for using the qpark nearby is brilliant and a 5 min walk from the hotel itself which is so central for markets and city centre we had a executive king room which was spotless and absolutely beautiful views of the city. we will definitely be back. brilliant breakfast the following morning also.
The Z Hotel is one of my favourite hotels. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed and that I enjoyed my stay. The room was spotless, suited my needs perfectly and the bed and linens were top quality. The location, for a tourist or business person , is the best, being right in the heart of Glasgow.
Friendly staff, central location, lovely decor, clean rooms and reasonably priced. Guests benefit from discounted parking rates at a nearby car park (NCP - Oswald Street). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Glasgow city centre. This is my third time staying at Motel One and I will definitely be back again in future.
Booked this hotel to attend the world pipeband championships in Glasgow green. Weve stayed here for the last 3 years now. Location is good. A little noisy but we expect that being right in the centre of Glasgow city centre.
The room wasn't up to the standard we remember from the previous 2 stays. The carpet wasn't very clean at all
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The property is in a great location close to UG, Kelvingrove Park and Museum, and the great shops and restaurants of the West End. it was also a 20 minute walk to City Centre.
The hotel was a little run down but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful!
Lovely clean hotel. Well situated for a city centre visit and also very accessible to the Hydro and SEC via Glasgow Central which is not far away. Check in and check out was smooth. Friendly staff, clean room and all you needed in your room for your stay. Breakfast was excellent and was topped up regular.
The hotel was extremely clean and staff were friendly. Not far from the nightlife in Glasgow or Glasgow's West end. Easy to get to via public transport as well. Would definitely stay there again when in Glasgow on busines or leisure purposes. Slightly cheaper city centre is always a bonus too.
Location central to train station , express bus from airport drops you 2 blocks away 3 min walk . Also has the largest capacity in Scotland for hotels so always people coming and going which is nice . At night always a conversation to be had at bar as single traveler . Fast elevators
The hotel feels quite casual not very luxe but considering it’s the highest rated hotel in Glasgow I booked it. It was good but not great. The room wasn’t cozy enough and the ac made clicking sounds at night. The staff however were very friendly.
Very well-priced small hotel in West End of Glasgow, excellent location for bars and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Stayed twice now and would definitely recommend.
The hotel was modern, fresh perfectly located in Glasgow City Centre.
The staff i spoke to were helpful and friendly to us.
The room was a good size, perfectly clean and the view over the river amazing.
The hotel was in a fantastic location and we enjoyed being able to walk through Glasgow City Centre almost daily. It was convenient having the train and underground within walking distance.
