The Bull Hotel; Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, hotel in Helpston

In the heart of Peterborough, the exclusive 4-star Bull Hotel is opposite the Queensgate shopping centre.

Recently refurbished hotel in excellent location. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. The lack of a lift could be a problem for some. All the staff we encountered were smartly dressed and very courteous and most helpful. I would rate the overall experience as excellent if not for the cooked breakfast items: although the selection of items was good and of top quality we found them to be barely warm on both mornings.

Check in wasn’t till 5pm and we arrive at 4pm. The Bluebell was in darkness and looked grim, we almost left but fortunately we didn’t because the inside was much nicer than the exterior. It was very warm and cosy and very friendly staff. We had dinner which was very good, and breakfast the following morning, just as good if not better. Helps ton is a nice village with nothing to do except visit the Bluebell! Having said that we would probably stay there again if in the area.

It's a quiet village with a great sense of community.

It's a quiet village with a great sense of community. Good for access to Stafford, Burghley and peterborough with A1 not far away. During our stay the Bluebell was providing free lunch for service and ex service personnel for Remembrance day. The management are inventive, resourseful and brave and deserve any accolades they get. The staff all act as if the place is their personal responsibility. Really engaged.
