Travelling on my own,the location is superb, and breakfast is excellent. The bedroom overlooked the garden and was peaceful, I had an excellent rest. There is an honesty bar. It's brilliant. I would definitely stay again. This is a very unique, special place.

Very warmly staffed. Shower was good, always a win. Friendly open communal areas that worked well. Perfectly located for hubby who was diving. Felt safe for our teenage boys growing independence.10pm noise curfew was followed by all, much appreciated . It Reminded hubby and I of a place we stayed in Australia, one world backpackersin Perth. Exactly what we had expected.

Staff were welcoming however site very understaffed with waits of half an hour to get our keys. Beds were comfortable which was a blessing as we spent most of the night awake due to the noise
A family-run hotel set in the seaside resort of Ilfracombe, Palm Court B&B is a 3-minute walk sea front and shops and just a 1-minute walk from Tunnels Beaches.

We enjoyed exploring Ilfracombe and the surrounding area.
We enjoyed exploring Ilfracombe and the surrounding area. We had good weather and walked some of the cliff path, as well as around the harbour area.
We had a look at Verity and went up to the little hilltop chapel.
We found good restaurants and a couple of pleasant pubs as well as a cafe for breakfast 😋
It was warm enough to have a swim at the Tunnels beach!
We got special toasties from the deli. en route to the harbour and found a seat with a view to eat them!

Great fish and chip and ice cream shop.
Great fish and chip and ice cream shop. Lovely walk up to the hill with fabulous views.
Sadly, lots of shops closed or closed early. Need more interesting shops in the high st. The Nest, florist, chocolate emporium were definitely the best.

Ilfracombe is a lovely place to visit, however please be aware how hilly it is. Walking down to harbour is easy but the return journey can be a bit of a slog.
Had gluten free fish and chips from Lynbay fish and chip shop.
Gluten free cream tea from St James tea garden.
Wasn't overly impressed with the beach as it mainly slate pebbles, but Woolacombe is not far away with golden sands.

Many part of this town including its HIGH STREET are looking terribly run down and rough. So too some pubs ...
I'm sure it will perk up in higher season but money needs to be spent on its appearance .
The streets felt as safe as most places in Britain and some Bistros and cafes were delightful. Roads are narrow and some extremely vertiginous . Parking can be an issue in high season I guess.

Ilfracombe is worth a visit and is probably better in the summer than when we visited. We preferred Woolacombe and Puttsborough beach is great for surfing. We walked around Baggy Point and saw some amazing views. Well worth a visit.

There were some really lovely parts of Ilfracombe and some not so nice , like most towns . Most of the architecture is stunning with old and new together but some new don't fit in. The scenery on the coast is amazing with lots of craggy coves and you can walk along the South West Coast Path . There is a small harbour where a stunning Damien Hirst statue is of Verity ,Statue of Justice if I remember correctly Parts of Ilfracombe are quite steep but there are slopes and some roads on the flat. We ate Sunday lunch at the Thatched Inn , had Breakfast at the Lime Kiln Cafe down by a cove . We loved it.
Cairn House is perfectly situated for exploring North Devon. The room we stayed in was great - large, clean and comfy and the hosts
Nick and Margaret were super friendly and welcoming. The Honesty Bar is a fab idea, we enjoyed a couple of drinks on the picnic bench in the front garden. The breakfasts were lovely, plenty of choice and were served really quick, meaning we could make an early start and the most of our days. We had a fab time in Ilfracombe and wouldn't hesitate in rebooking to stay at Cairn House.
The room had a great view of the sea and harbour area. The hosts were so welcoming and Sharon suggested lots of good places to eat and visit during the stay. Breakfast is fabulous. Lovely lounge for guest use. Only about 10 minutes to walk into town down a path most of which is away from traffic. Take the Ilfracombe Princess trips - got to see the seals and porpoises! Had great weather and wonderful stay.
We had such a wonderful stay at Laston House.
Everyone was so friendly the house was lovely as was the room.
Great breakfast,
The location was perfect within walking distance to town and harbour and a good base for
exploring north Devon.
We were sad to leave wish we had booked a longer stay.
Will definately be returning.
We ( a family of seven) have just had a wonderful three nights at Slipway. It is perfectly located to explore Ilfracombe and the wider sights of North Devon. The house is very spacious and very well equipped. The host was easy to communicate with and gave us great advice regarding where we could park etc.
the hotel owners Violet and George were absolutely perfect hosts in every sense, and made us feel immediately at home. Also the whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy, so all in all we had a great experience and would certainly recommend Palm Court hotel to anybody else wanting to visit Ilfracombe.
Warm welcome. Excellent suite with luxury bedding/ furniture/ toiletries. Exceptional choice for breakfast for every taste/ appetite. Fabulously grand building adapted well for a boutique hotel feel. Plenty of parking on site. Located just out of town, perfect to explore the area.
loved the view from the window on the top floor and sitting on the window seat looking out over ilfracombe. The bed was comfortable and the hosts mum and dad (who were looking after the place while they were on holiday) were lovely and welcoming.
Newly renovated, clean, comfortable, lovely apartment, with everything you need and lovely view of the sea. Located near ilfracombe harbour and central to visit other lovely places in Devon. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Very pleasant staff and clean and comfortable apartment with sea view as requested. Also did a surprise raffle upon check in! Very good base for exploring North Devon! Lots of car park spaces. Will definitely come back.
Excellent breakfast, lots of choice and cooked to perfection.
Great harbour and sea view from bedroom
Hosts and staff very welcoming and friendly
Great base for exploring North Devon area
The Hotel was right on the harbour in the middle of Ilfracombe. The staff were friendly and although q basic menu the food was fine and not expensive. The drinks prices were also fair.
