Centrally located, well presented, with on trend decor throughout. The apt has everything to cater for a long or short stay. It sits in the heart of Inverarary just a minutes walk to the centres bars restaurants, shops and harbour. Great for a short stay as only a small town. The castle was a great day out and only a 15 min walk along the large estate and gardens, which were beautiful. Really enjoyed the food at Brambles in the hidden garden at the rear of the restaurant. The loch Fyne for fish and chips is a must. The garden bar is a great we place to sit and have a drink some food and on a friday there generally intertainment of some sort.

Inveraray is an ideal stop along any West coast journey..200 year old history, water front, tourist attractions, restaurants, pubs, and quaint accommodation. Some hotels can be over priced as can some restaurants.. be circumspect as there are value for money smaller venues. As for the castle..a walk around the outside maybe sufficient satisfaction as again the price for a whole family is on the steep side.

Inveraray is a very small town so perfect for a weekend, or for a couple of nights when touring. Lots of nice independent shops which we like to support when we are visiting. Special mention to Campbells coffee which we also have delivered at home. The George Beer Garden is excellent during the summer for Burgers and drinks, and loving the addition of Ocho, wish they would start up their supper club nights again as the food is next level. Its by far the nicest lunch place in Inveraray.
En Route we love visiting the Tree Shop Garden Centre on Loch Fyne. Excellent selection of home baking, great quality, along with great toasties and sandwiches, a bit nicer than your usual cafe fayre. The shop is also lovely for nick nacks and gifts.

A wee bit touristy, but as an old Scotland hands we get a bit too jaded at times. However, apart from the usual tartany gift shops, the little cafe on the pier does the best cheese and onion pasty I’ve tasted in years ! A couple of shops selling hunting gear which will ensure you look the part in the moors and what looked like a decent pub, but was really busy. So all in all, a very pleasant pit stop. They are raising money to refurbish the pier.. ..however, I’m sure the Duke of Argyll could find some loose change lying around to finish the job..surely😉For Para Handy fans, yes, it is the real Vital Spark!

Inveraray is a beautiful historic town, surrounded by stunning Scottish countryside. The Castle and the Jail are a must if you love history.
Best places to eat are The George pub or the Samphire seafood restaurant, but you need to book in advance. Loch Fyne Oyster bar is also fantastic but that’s about 8 miles away.

Lovely warm welcome, great facilities throughout including pool and spa areas, locally sourced food and seafood available on both bar menu and restaurant menu, (and also on the already good breakfast menu!).
Very short walk to Inveraray, castle, bell tower, little harbour, etc
So peaceful, beautiful location, great pool and spa facilities and staff were a credit to the hotel.
Wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back again soon.

Excellent hotel, room was spacious and lovely decor.
Excellent hotel, room was spacious and lovely decor. Early check in and late check out. Restaurant was lovely, great service and lovely menu at reasonable prices. Location is central in the village, free parking at rear of hotel. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel.
We liked the ambience of the house, nearness to town centre. and the view from our room. The area is so good for exploring. Had often been in Inveraray but only at night as .a gigging musician. Inveraray did look super even then.! It was lovely to explore the town properly with my wife. Creag Dhubh was just a perfect place to stay. Super breakfasts and also places to eat at night in the town. eg Brambles and the George Hotel. We chose Creag Dhubh to celebrate our 62nd Wedding Annversary and hit the Jackpot!
Newton Hall was a welcome relief after a long drive. We were greeted by Bruce who was very friendly and helpful. Our garden view room was lovely and very comfortable. The bathroom was large as was the terrific shower. We were delighted to receive 2 slices of freshly baked slice to have with our cup of tea upon arrival. The breakfasts were delicious and very generous. The view of Loch Fyne was lovely and the location is terrific.
The location was great, not far from bus stop. Hostel itself was very clean and comfortable with friendly atmosphere. Tea coffee hot chocolate were supplied and there was plenty of equipment for cooking your own meals. There was a good supermarket about a minutes walk away and hotels and chip shop also very close. Inveraray castle , which I visited , was also just a few minutes away.
This is a lovely upmarket spa hotel on the shore of Loch Fyne with a splendid view across the loch. Comfortable room, nice bar and surprisingly good restaurant - I had one of the most delicious cod steaks I have ever had anywhere. Also an excellent spa with a lovely pool. Not at all cheap by local standards but in this sort of case you get what you pay for!
The location was great, I was ghost hunting at Inveraray Jail and was right next door - brilliant as I was a lone female coming and going in the early hours. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for me. I had an excellent view from my window and a "roll top" bath in my room - fabulous! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Sue and John were excellent hosts. A very comfortable nights stay homemade cakes and tea when we arrived and an excellent breakfast the next morning with lots of choice. Area quiet, beds comfy and shower powerful. Only drawback had to go into Inveraray for evening meal. Highly recommend the George Hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful location and lovely house; we were made to feel really welcome by the very friendly owners. The breakfast was superb, service exemplary. Our room had magnificent views over Loch Fyne, and the facilities were excellent. Inveraray itself is lovely and only a few minutes walk away.
I have stayed here several times. It is a fantastic location overlooking the loch and the rooms are comfortable.
It is not the plushest of hotels but it is very good value for money. The staff are very friendly the food and the breakfast were very good. would definitely recommend it
Absolutely superb apartment. It was cosy, spotless and right in the centre of the small town, near the hotels, restaurants and shops. The owners were extremely helpful e.g
with advice on the best places to eat. We thoroughly recommend it to anyone going to Inveraray.
We had a great stay, bed was very comfortable, the view across Loch Fyne superb, room spacious and clean and the breakfast was outstanding (taking our dietary need's into consideration at late notice with a range of offering). Will definitely stay again.
Right in the heart of the town, everything walkable including the market and the castle. Perfect size for 2 people. We took advantage of the discount at the Jail attraction which gave us a different view of the accommodations (the back side!)
Friendly welcome and shown around. Stunning views over Loch Fyne. Great apartment with everything we needed, comfortable bed, spacious, bright and airy. Located centrally in Inveraray, everything in easy walking distance. Highly recommend.
The spa and the pool were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was great for doing some day trips through beautiful Argyll and Bute.
With a bar and restaurant present, it made for a great start of our holiday!
Such a charming place to stay in the Scottish countryside, seven miles outside of Inveraray. The owners were charming, the room was comfortable & well priced and the breakfast was amazing good. We would definitely stay here again.
lovely old building, clean, comfortably appointed room, (great pillows, settee perfect for tea-time with a book) remarkably friendly staff, quaint setting, proximity to restaurants and castle
Our room was in the attic and had the most comfortable bed we've ever stayed in. The shower was excellent, the breakfast was lovely and the couple who run the hotel were very helpful.
