It is a beautiful venue to hold an event like a Wedding or Awards Ceremony. The grounds and staff amazing. The actual room we stayed in was a little dates but clean and functional and didn't spoil or time there.

Nothing, room smelled musty, fridge didn’t work, no hairdryer in room, no cold water out of tap to drink was running warm.

Easy! Everything was simple, you got what you booked, and staff very helpful.
Breakfast wasn’t booked but the staff accommodated us at 10am and cooked us a lovely full English breakfast.

Best pub to eat and relax is The Crown, opposite the Church.
Best pub to eat and relax is The Crown, opposite the Church. Their are some lovely country walks. The George and Born has a more lively feel in the evening and food is more down to earth, and accommodation is clean and sufficient, but small rooms. Met our needs!

The only reason we were in the area was to visit our son and grandson. Notmally we would have stayed with them but they are the process of moving so it was not possible to stay with them..

We stayed at Bel and the Dragon and would happily stay again. The staff were friendly and efficient. The place was spotlessly clean and the food exceeded our expectations.
The bedroom was very comfortably furnished and the bed was just right, plenty of comfortable pillows and high quality bedding. The bathroom has lovely products, I particularly liked the fact that single use products were not used, much more green to have refillable containers. We stayed one night to be close the Bombay Sapphire distillery, and would definitely stay again,

Kingsclere is a small village with two pubs a beautiful church and adequate services in terms of shops - a butcher, chemist and two grocery shops. It was less what Kingsclere had to offer but its location within an area with plenty of places to visit and with much to do. It was nice to be away from the pace of life these days but close enough to reconnect simply and quickly whenever you wanted to.

Nice village with several pubs.
Nice village with several pubs. Good walking at Watership Down nearby. I ate at Bel and the Dragon but there are other places in the village. If one wished one could drive to Newbury or Basingstoke easily too.
Perfect location for our trip to a Jubilee event in Kingsclere. The staff were welcoming and the room, although quite small had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was the included breakfast. Parking was free onsite, limited availability, but plenty of on street options outside the hotel. Nice touch having complimentary Sloe gin in the room making a perfect night cap.
Quite outdated thought room was clean.Shower drain needed cleaning out(wasn't prepared to do that)as nearly overflowed so more than likely hair blockage(am a housekeeper)Breakfast better on Sun than on Sat.More a B&B than a hotel.
The pub is located in a beautiful village (Kingsclere) lovely to walk around. Has two other places to eat but here the food is just as good. Friendly welcome from all the staff. Breakfast was great and included in the stay.
Breakfast was cooked to order, beautifully cooked and presented and very substantial. The hotel has an interesting "old world" ambiance. There is a private entrance for guests which avoids having to go through the pub.
Service was exceptional. From check-in at the hotel, to restaurant (Hayley and Team), breakfast, The pro Shop etc - everything was just really good given the price point - was excellent value.
