Bar & restaurant for dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Food was very yummy and their own house summer gin delicious. Perfect views at the rear of the building. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Fantastic little building in an excellent location for exploring Cornwall and devon. Bedroom was basic but comfortable and clean. Would happily stay again.

We had an excellent stay in the cosy little hut. Rural location that you'll need transport for but places to eat within a 20min walk and basic cooking facilities in the room allow you to self cater. Enjoyed our stay here more than other far more expensive stops on our trip.

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must.
Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. Breathtaking coastline. It's wonderful to have both countryside and coastline on offer 😁

Typical Cornish town, recommend Francine’s fish and chips for fast efficient service with a smile.
The roads are narrow and it can get congested in a car but if you’re on holiday patience is key, enjoy

We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway,
Launceston is well placed. For the A30 for day trips to the many wonderful attractions along the coast.

Launceston, is a lovely town, with great views and lots of things to do. It has a lot of history to it and needs a few days to explore.
There are also lots of places to stop in for a cup of coffee and something to eat

A very run down little town , but beautiful surrounding areas such as crackington , Bude & Padstow definitely all worth a visit .Fantastic pub & resturant /cafe in Crackington right on the beach front excellent food & service .
The location was amazing with views over the moor. The garden was ideal for our elderly dog to wander about safely. It was so lovely and quiet with no light pollution so lots of stars on a clear night. The cottage was bigger than expected and really cosy, a home from home. We live in cornwall, but not in a magical part like Bodmin moor, we would definitely book bowithick cottages again, we love it there. We even booked an extra night at the end of our stay and the owners were very accommodating. Beautiful, mystical place….highly recommend! x
I loved everything about this property. It has everything you’ll need for your stay, fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. There is a small shop in the village of Polyphant but it you’re staying for a time you’d probably want to go to Tesco’s in Launceston. We had relatives near by so didn’t require a car, but if you’re traveling to the Shippon you’d probably want one. The Cornish countryside is exquisite and the views from our room didn’t disappoint.
We booked this hotel as a last minute booking for the summer. Got a good deal and wasn't really expecting much but it has exceeded all of what I could have hoped for. Staff was amazing. So patient and accommodating to our needs as a big group. This will be the place I come to if ever I'm having to stay in Cornwall again. I've stayed in 5* hotels that didn't provide the level of customer service that the staff offered us there.
We loved the cosy, comfortable cottage and the surrounding equestrian centre and fields to walk around. It was lovely to walk outside and stroke the horses every morning. Location was perfect for travelling to different places around Cornwall and Devon. Andy and Kathryn were so friendly and helpful too and couldn't do enough for us to ensure our stay was comfortable.
As a regular traveler and hotel/b&b user - this was a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. The host is very welcoming and the facilities inside the room are clean and simple. The extra space available within the converted barn with the communal kitchen and rest area is an added bonus. If you want a nice quiet place to stay, this is ideal.
The cottage was immaculate, well equipped with gorgeous views and a pond complete with carp. A very informative welcome pack was much appreciated. The owner was helpful and friendly. This was an ideal location for exploring all the delights Cornwall has to offer. A cream tea waiting on arrival was a lovely touch. Will definitely visit again
the location was beautiful and so peaceful. could not have been happier when we pulled up to travellers rest. it was a great location to be able to visit all around Cornwall easily enough. the property was so cosy like home from home. it’s a small camp site so remained peaceful was never crowded even when full.
Loved the location and was very well set up by the owners from a private caravan site for only about 7 to tastefully decorated rooms in the house, which were very comfortable and a decent size. We were made very welcome and the breakfast choice was superb. Would definitely return again.
Absolutely great place that I would highly recommend for short or long stay. Place is beatuful, area is amazing, host superb. Most wondering was hosts attention to details. I haven't seen something like this for a long time. Thank you for a great time we spent in this lodge.
Great central location..convenient for exploring North Cornwall.
Good size for a family
Fully equipped kitchen
Plenty of towels provided
Washing machine was handy and washing liquid pods provided
Cereals,Tea, sugar, jams, squash, cooking oil provided
The lodge is a quiet and relaxing place in the north of Cornwall. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and made our stay very special. We would definitely come back and stay here again. Many thanks!
Traveller's Rest is an excellent place in the beautiful Bodmin Moor. Andy was a wonderful and kind host and I really enjoyed my stay. The area is superb for cycling and walking. A perfect holiday.
My hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Everything was spotlessly clean .
Lovely county location ,but only 10 minutes from Launceston.
This was my second stay , I will be back
The owner is a lovely lady who was very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking space, rural and quiet, and the accommodation was clean and tidy. The cost was reasonable.
