The breakfast is really worth the £8 for a full English. The staff are friendly and rooms are spotless. If you are not bothered about the bar, this is definitely a nice place to stay with the railway station opposite its very convenient. We will definitely return.

Everything you need for a really peaceful relaxing break. Didn't see anyone the whole time apart from takeaway delivery guy. Animals close to you who pop head over fence occasionally but are no bother, nice to watch when sat in hot tub.
Hot tub was fired up ready for our arrival which was brilliant.

We stayed here a year and a half ago just as the new owners were taking over and the place has been transformed. Lovely clean room with a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely extra. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant which was very tasty and really good value for money and it had a lovely atmosphere with a cosy wood burning fire. We opted for a rate with breakfast which again was fantastic with great quality ingredients and my daughter loved the hot chocolate. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

Have stayed at this site many times and have found egress from the site can be risky. We leave the site by turning left, do a U turn at next junction on right, then join traffic with good site in wing mirror.
We eat at several different outlets. Trelawney Garden Centre near Wadebridge recommended as is Trago Mills.

It is a central location which makes it a good base to explore from. We didn't actually visit the town but drove to the Eden Project, Tintagel, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Polperro, St Austell etc. The local roads are narrow and winding, it takes ages to get anywhere, and you have to reverse a lot back to passing places on single track roads! We are vegetarian and found it easy to find really good places to eat. I recommend visiting Olive and Co at Sibleyback lake.

The clothes drying outside was not the best as the sun wasn’t on the wash line much
However there was a washer dryer (which I don’t like) should you need to get something dry
We visited Newquay, Perranporth and Looe, the latter being our favourite as it was nearest and had crab fishing as well as the beach

The hotel is 5 miles from Liskeard, which we did not visit other than to drive through! There is at least one petrol station which we did use.
However there are plenty of places of interest within a short drive. We ate at Wheal Tor and several of the local inns.

The town itself is quite a depressed area and so not particularly touristy, but it is easy travelling distance from some amazing countryside and this makes a good stopover to/from places further west.
Fantastic view from the bedroom, you can see right across the moor to the Tamar valley. Sheep graze right outside the window. Very quiet location. Lovely walks in the surrounding area. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great food in the pub next door; a varied menu and generous portions. Very nice beer too. Accommodation was spotless. Great walk-in shower. There's a Spar type shop down the road in Pensilva village in case you need anything, and Liskeard is only a ten minute drive away. Would we come here again? Definitely!
We just love it! We highly recommend, and we are very excited to come back. The accommodation was very clean with all the necessary amenities and facilities included, and the way is decorated, just touched our souls. The location is in a quiet area and close to many attractions in Cornwall. Our host offered us all the support and information we needed through the welcome booklet she provided, and she was always happy to answer any queries we had. We felt like our home and we were very sad that the holiday ended. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rachel and Steve were fabulous hosts and gave us lots of recommendations of where to visit during our stay. The bungalow annexe itself had a secure garden which was great for our dog. There was a fully equipped kitchen with top of the range appliances. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet at night for a good nights sleep. The location meant that it was the perfect base to explore Cornwall. We enjoyed it so much that we tried to extend our stay however, unfortunately it was fully booked.
Cottage was quaint, clean and had everything you required. Attention to detail by the hosts brilliant. Literally in the middle of no where - where you can truly relax and enjoy the countryside.
Games room available with pool table & table tennis great for entertainment in the evening - distracting the kids away from devices.
Loved the Forrest area to walk the dog and enjoy fire pit one evening.
Really friendly staff that made you feel welcome. They asked us in advance what we'd like for breakfast and it was actually nice (you can only have so much English breakfast, but we also got some yogurt, butter, toast etc.).
Room was clean and very nicely furnished, looks like it was recently (re)decorated.
Plenty of parking spaces in front and in the back of the hotel.
Lovely room, very clean and well decorated. Excellent pub food, very welcoming staff and good outdoor beer garden. Optional breakfast and also nice to have water bottles included with the tea / coffee. Good location for visiting the south coast of Cornwall. We would definitely return, if we are in the area again.
excellent service and hosts were so lovely. the setting was on a beautiful farm for lovely walking and easy to access other parts of Cornwall. the rooms were very comfortable and we had a wonderful experience.
Stayed for two nights in a family room. It was exceptionally good. The hotel is located on a small hill, a beautiful scenic surroundings. It was clean, the food was delicious and the staff were nice.
A beautifully presented and maintained property kept to a very high standard set in a peaceful rural location, yet very accessible to so many places in east Cornwall and west Devon.
Lovely hosts, lovely people, lovely stay. Very conveniently located for public transport, both bus and train. Liskeard station a short walk down the road. Highly recommend.
Brilliant location for touring Cornwall. Very peaceful and picturesque setting. Perfect hosts - wonderful facilities with all the extra touches which made it feel homely.
