Featuring outstanding sea views, the Dol Aur - Room Only offers free WiFi throughout and free onsite parking. Situated in Harlech, it also has a large sun terrace with seating and barbeque facilities....

We basically used it to sleep and shower as we spent very little time there. Late in after golf, then straight out to dinner. Away first thing next morning for Day 2 of golf.

Beautiful Wales, hotel in Llanbedr

In the open countryside of Llanaber, Beautiful Wales offer modern, converted barns with stunning beach views.

Booked for New Year's Eve for family of 4 plus 2 dogs. The location was perfect for us, the views amazing. The accommodation was also perfect and well appointed, with literally everything you could ever need there. The hosts were lovely, and had really thought of how to make the stay perfect. Would 100% recommend and we will return at some point (especially as it was where I proposed to my future wife).

Llanbedr is a charming stone village between Barmouth and Harlech. It's only small but there's three pubs and a shop. There are plenty of nearby walks and the riverside is very pretty, just under 2 miles from the village are the Nantcol waterfalls. It's a good base for exploring North and Mid Wales. There's Snowdonia, light railways, pretty coastal villages, Portmeirion, golf courses, a seemingly endless list of things to do in the area. The Victoria Inn is one of the best pubs in the country in my honest opinion, they have 5 rooms for guests and a good pub menu as well.

From the accommodation we went to Harlech beach and Harlech castle, to Snowden (by car), to Portmeirion (by train) and to the Rhaeadr Nantcol Waterfalls. An ideal balance between a cultural, beach and walking/hiking holidays.

As a location to get to the lakes, waterfalls, Roman steps...

As a location to get to the lakes, waterfalls, Roman steps it is ideal. It is isolated so if you want to really get away this is the place to go. It may be busier in the hotter weather months. The sheep welcome you in the morning grazing on the grass. There is a local shop that has almost everything you need. I really enjoyed the waterfalls, I went with my sons and we spent some tile wandering around the various waterfalls trying to find what fed them, we went deeper and deeper into the woods but could not find it. Getting around walking is the way as long as you don’t mind walking for miles and miles, we drove around the various single lane country lanes. The view of the lake between the two mountains when we got to the Roman steps was breathtaking. There was a road that had a signpost that said the sat nav will not work, this road takes you through the real mountain road, just be ready to drive up and down a very steep one lane road opening and closing gates with cars coming the other way. The very narrow road twists very sharply and has lots of blind bends where at least at two places all you can see is your car bonnet because the road is so steep. All in all a unique experience.

A lovely village but s bit of a traffic bottleneck.

A lovely village but s bit of a traffic bottleneck. The Victoria Inn had a large car park opposite which was great. There looked to be two more places in the village to stay. There was also a small shop and a cafe.

The property is in a really picturesque location with plenty of things to explore. The host has provided a plethora of board games and books in addition to usual amenities to make sure that guest will have an enjoyable time if they wish to stay indoors. They have even take great care to decorate kids room which children really enjoyed. We really loved the visit to nearby town with its pebbles beach and lush hills overlooking the coast. We were able to get an experience which we would not have got out of staying in a hotel.

Excellent location for exploring the coast around Barmouth and Harlech for local hill and woodland walks. We used the train service from Llanbedr train station which was approximately half a mile down the road. The property was very clean and well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. A very comfortable lounge diner after a long day out. One room was small but all the beds and bedding were very comfortable. Would definitely return.

Our stay was so wonderfully relaxing. The B&B is located so conveniently close to town with beautiful scenery on the drive and many close by walks. The owners were so kind and helpful, and provided a big delicious breakfast every morning. Would 100% stay again if we were able to get away to Wales for an explore!

Has a great pub at the hotel, the location is good and leafy and there was enough parking. Room was clean and cosy and the staff are chatty and helpful. Puts most 3 star hotels to shame, very good value for money especially with an english breakfast thrown in which was standrad fare and tasty.

Hotel set in lovely gardens with a reasonable car park. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. On arrival we were put in a small twin room when we booked a double. However, when I pointed this out, we were then given a double room which was much bigger.

Great little place! Very comfortable, everything we needed in the living area, bathroom and comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen, considering the size too so easy to cook, since you're too far out to walk into Llanbedr.
