    I Love Morecambe.

I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

Some of it has been regenerated but it still needs a lot of money investing to bring it up to scratch. There are very few places to eat at night. Pubs and bars are run down. Hopefully the Eden Project will inject new life into it.

    Morecambe is in poor shape.

Morecambe is in poor shape. Boarded up and derelict buildings abound. Much of it has the feel of rougher areas of Manchester rather than a coastal resort almost in the Lake District. It also seems too spread out. Instead of the main things being centred around one area, they seem to be dotted about here and there, in a strange, disjoint way.

Everything! It was perfect for what I required! Staff were great! The en-suite room was clean & comfy! Stunning view of beautiful Morecambe Bay from my bedroom window! Close to the beach & Promenade! Centrally based & so very close to all the amenities- pubs, restaurants, shops. -Approx. 5 minutes walk, if that! Buses drop you by the Clock Tower & a very short walking distance to the Hotel! Parking is available across the road opposite the hotel, if none available in the Hotel parking! I would definitely stay here again!

Nice view, quiet location, very clean and comfortable room. The food served in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The self check in/out is very convenient and any questions I had were quickly answered online ( via Booking.com ). We were in Morecambe for an evening event and had brought a dog with us ( I have a camera so that I can see he’s behaving via my phone ) so needed somewhere that could accommodate him. We left him in the room whilst we ate, but there are tables outside that I guess he could have sat with us at.

The Crown Hotel is centrally located across the road from the beach and close to all amenities. Our room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, great shower and lovely big towels. The food in the restaurant was superb and the best we have had during any of our 5 stays in Morecambe. Staff are all really friendly and the owner left us a bottle of prosecco in our room as we were celebrating our anniversary during our stay. Honestly cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The hotel was very well situated with convenient bus and train connections a reasonable walking distance away from the hotel if people are in fair health. The room layout was unconventional in the way the bathroom was located and not easy to access. The views from our room were very good as the room was located on a corner of the building but a fair walk from the lift. The only lift, but perhaps there being only a single lift was down to the buildings Grade status.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, front facing and the bathroom was well appointed. The evening meal was terrific, with a nice selection on offer and the portions were large. The breakfast was outstanding especially the large full Morecambe Hotel, kept me going until late evening. The hotel has a lovely area out the back with tables and chairs really nicely finished and even has a little childrens' play area.

This hotel was the perfect place for a stressed out teacher to spend two nights alone in half term. Everything was considered from start to finish. Particular highlights: the overnight oats at breakfast, the little treats replaced in the room every day and the warm bath.
