Pretty village in the beautiful Cotswolds with a free car park! Lovely old church with 99 yew tree gardens/graveyard. Fantastic village pub “The Falcon”. Recommend walking up Painswick Beacon for 360 panoramic views.

Beautiful, historic Cotswold village with good local facilities and plenty to do and visit in the area, especially when the weather permits walking and outdoor activities. Larger towns nearby (Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham) offer supermarkets and additional facilities.

Painswick is a very picturesque village with enough facilities for a short stay. There are limited places to eat but all were worth a visit. It is a good base for ramblers but not suitable for young children. There are camping sites nearby though which would be more child friendly.

A very peaceful Cotswolds village, Falcon Inn was a great place to eat, went there twice. A good place to start a Cotswolds Way walk. I only stayed for a hiking weekend with friends but could have definitely stayed longer - lots of things to see and do within an easy each (one does need a car though).

We ate at the Edgemoor Inn at Edge. The food was a good price and excellent with a varied range of food choices. Another time I would love to see the 200 Yew trees in the church yard, and the famous Rococco gardens.

Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location.
Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. We ate in the only three pubs/restaurants - St Michaels Bistro, The Falcon and The Oak and enjoyed the drinks and meals in all - all quite different. Village itself can be walked round very quickly - don't expect any shops to visit but lots of nice walks on offer.
Wonderful place to stay, both in terms of the comfort and decor of the room, the quality of the bed and bathroom, and the quiet and comfortable we had. We had the most beautiful view also! The breakfast was unbelievably delicious, nothing like we'd ever seen before! We also had dinner at the restaurant the night we stayed, which was just wonderful. Delicious food and utterly lovely and welcoming staff. We couldn't fault it and would love to return again in the future! Thank you!
This quaint hotel tucked into the countryside had the most amazing views of the green hillside. The staff was delightful and amenities offered such as afternoon tea in bed made for a relaxing experience. The drinks and food were incredible! We loved the al Capone and Rosemary Collins! The truffle pudding and lamb among other meals here were delicious. Definitely would recommend and would love to return in the future!
We wanted a romantic stay for our honeymoon and Court House Manor exceeded our expectations. They even offered rose petals on the bed, which was a perfect addition. The room was excellent, bed was very comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. Painswick was a lovely town, and we enjoyed walking through some of the "public foot paths" in the area during our stay. You can't go wrong here!
The cottage is perfect! My wife walked in and said, "This is my English country vacation dream come true." Everything was beautiful, incredible views on both sides of the cottage....fantastic location in the Cotswolds. Extremely charming and cozy. We always had parking very close to or directly in front of the entrance. Great experience! Highly recommend!
The garden room was spotless and beautiful. We spent 2 nights there and were very pleased with it all. Martin the host was friendly and kind and we wanted for nothing. The village of Painswick is quite small and quiet with not a lot to do, ideal for some R & R which was why we were there. Couple of little village pubs too that were lovely.
The location was great for getting to places such as Gloucester, Cheltenham and other locations across the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean etc.
The village is very quiet especially where the guest house is except for the neighbour across the road who sings in the evening.
The breakfasts were lovely
The shower was great
The host was very pleasant
Situated in the Centre of town, easy walking distance to local restaurants and beautiful ancient churchyard. The host was friendly and accommodating. The room light, airy and comfortable. Pretty courtyard between the front and rear buildings. Excellent breakfast…
We would definitely book again should we be travelling to that area…,
Beautiful rooms, comfy beds. Plenty of tea and even a coffee machine in the room. Fridge in common areas had complientary water and fresh milk for the tea and coffee. We could also help ourselves to fresh fruit and even a homemade granolabar one night. Hotel situated in a peaceful neighbourhood so very nice and quiet at night.
Lovely, quiet room in a character building located on the Cotswold Way. The host was welcoming and breakfast was excellent…best I’ve had in the UK yet! Also, the welcome cup of tea the host provided upon my tired arrival was especially appreciated. : ) An excellent place
to stay in the beautiful town of Painswick. Thank you!
Perfect place to stay while walking the Cotswold Way. Denice was the perfect host. Beds were so comfy. Breakfast amazing. A brilliant very substantial packed lunch. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Painswick
It was absolutely beautiful and so was the garden, very dog friendly. it was right in the centre of Painswick, the kitchen had everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and the log burner a real cosy bonus.
Fantastic central location in Painswick. Lovely old building. Very welcoming, polite and accommodating hosts. Excellent breakfast. Parking nearby. Quiet setting. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Very comfortable B&B with friendly helpful staff! The terrace room has a wonderful view out over the valley. Quiet, restful place. Excellent village setting from which to explore all the Cotswolds has to offer!
Location is perfect in central Painswick and ample parking a bonus. Manor is striking and staff super helpful. St Michaels bistro 5 mins walk away fantastic for supper.
