Location and room amazing! We had room 6. What a view to wake up to.
Set on the banks of the Fowey River Estuary in Bodinnick, The Old Ferry Inn has provided food and cosy accommodation for over 400 years. It features a panoramic restaurant and traditional Cornish pub....

We could not find the old Ferry. The reason being it was not only totally covered in scaffolding on the two sides visible from the road but it was also covered in workman. The car park was a building site which we could not enter as it had the builders vehicle in it. It is impossible to park within half a mile of the property unless you cross the Stuart by ferry and leave your car there. It was impossible to park to unload the car plus our two dogs. The builders told us the owner or anyone else was not there.
It turns out the Inn doesn’t open until 3pm. We were never told of the scaffolding or works which included stripping part of the roof to one side of the room we should have been staying in which also had scaffolding right up to it. We did the only thing we could do and crossed the estuary and looked for another hotel. It was almost 3 pm and by a miracle saw the sign for The Fowey Hall Hotel. They’re dog friendly and had availability. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It is immaculate inside and out with the most charming staff

Extremely family friendly and service was fantastic. Very impressed with rooms. Great touches like crabbing equipment provided for children.

All staff were very warm and welcoming. Very willing to accommodate dietary needs for breakfast. My vegan breakfast was nothing short of wonderfully tasty and plenty off it. Utterly delicious.
I loved my room, tastefully decorated, to keep in harmony with the building and I had a lovely view of the street below. My additional bathroom was also beautifully designed too.
The entire pub felt as if I had stepped back in time. I expected Poldark to come sweeping through the pub door at any given minute. With two roaring log fires being attentively fed, I felt very cozy and found it extremely hard to pack up and leave when my holiday was over!

The property was in excellent condition and had fantastic views of the harbour, town and sea, the road down to the village is very steep so you will need to be fairly fit, Polperro is now my favourite place in Cornwall.

Lovely location, very picturesque.
Lovely location, very picturesque. Plenty of places to grab food and drinks. Parking is only available in the main car park which might seem pricy but I was happy to pay £40 there for the week (machines only take coins, no card). Ideal for getting up onto the SW Coast path and public transport was good.

Polperro is a lovely, 'quaint' fishing village in Cornwall.
Polperro is a lovely, 'quaint' fishing village in Cornwall. I have visited there 3 or 4 times - first in winter 1987 - I loved it then and still do now. We loved the walk from the 'Crumplehorn Inn', down to the sea, along the narrow roads. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night. I would recommend Polperro, and the Crumplehorn Inn and Mill, as a lovely place to visit and stay.

Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful scenery. Lovely village. Some of the walks are a bit hilly for those who have difficulty with their mobility. It’s been some years since I have been there and inevitably since COVID some of the restaurants and pubs have closed but there were still enough to enjoy our stay.Would definitely recommend a visit.

Polperro is a beautiful picturesque village with narrow winding streets. Quaint shops, pubs and restaurants. The local people are friendly giving you a warm welcome and all in all a relaxing holiday. It is also a good place to stay for visiting other local attractions such as The Eden Project A trip into Plymouth, Looe and Padstow. The house of Props servers beautiful food in its lovely setting.
The breakfast was excellent, with soft dried fruits, fresh fruit and yogurt (my favourite), whilst my husband enjoyed his full English. Nice music whilst we had our breakfast, a good play list. We slept well and had comfy beds. The hotel was extremely well situated, with a short stroll down to the harbour. Lovely flowers everywhere.
We mainly ate at the Blue Peter pub, which had good food and was very welcoming. Loved our short stay and would have liked to stay longer.
A perfect couples retreat. A perfect couples retreat.
We had a wonderful long weekend in Polperro. The cottage was simply perfect. We enjoyed being in the centre of the village minutes from everything.
We also explored the surrounding areas and took full advantage of the complimentary parking.
If you are looking for a beautiful fishing village set back in time past and want somewhere unique to call home then the Sail Locker would be my highest recommendation.
Natal House B&B is located just a few metres from the centre of Polperro - a gorgeous little village very near Looe.
Hosts, Jackie and Simon, were wonderful - very helpful and willing to accommodate our very late arrival and breakfast needs.
The room was very spacious, beautifully and simply designed, including a sitting area and plenty of little spaces for luggage, clothes etc.
We would absolutely love to return to this lovely B&B on our next Cornwall trip!
Talland house is a cozy pet-friendly cottage in the centre of beautiful Polperro harbour. Very close to an excellent food store and the wonderful Blue Peter pub. We parked up the hill in the public car park and paid £40 for the whole week. It was an easy and pleasant walk to the house from there. The house is also a great starting point for coastal walks, to Fowey, Looe or further. The house was comfortable and we had a great time.
It’s our favourite hotel in Polperro and we just love everything about it. Having a secure car park opposite and near the harbour is important to us and the attention to detail in all ways is exceptional. We are not breakfast people but cannot decline such a lovely selection of food cooked to order which sets us up for the day!
The honesty bar is really helpful and very reasonable unlike most hotels.
The location was amazing, right in the centre of Polperro. Loved the outdoor seating area at the front of the cottage. Very secure for our dog. Perfect place to stay. Go to the three pilchards for food. Short drive to Looe.
Turn right at the Crumplehorn Inn to avoid the village as very hard to navigate in a car. Violet farm isn’t actually a farm, just a car park (so you know what to look for).
We had a lovely welcome from Claire. Our room was spotless, cosy, very comfortabel too. Breakfast was lst class and staff very polite and pleasant nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky the weather was kind to us. Polperro is a very nice place to have a break with nice little shops and good food in local pubs. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Polperro. Maz & Simon were excellent hosts, delicious breakfast using local ingredients and produce - beautifully cooked, extremely comfortable bed and large spacious room. Polperro is a stunning village with coastal walks, great bakeries, a chilli shop and fresh seafood served in all local eateries.
The caravan is on the older side but has been maintained really well, heats up well, is very close to polperro, it’s a little dangerous on foot as it’s a rural country road/lane that gets very narrow if cars are passing but in a car it’s a few mins.
The site is nice and quiet too.
The inn is ideally placed in Polperro and appears rather idylic. The pub part is old and in keeping with the period the place was built. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good.
Great beers on tap too which I really liked.
The breakfast was very good, each morning prepared specially.
The location was idea considering Polperro is a difficult place to find car parking.
The hosts Simon and Jackie were brilliant, friendly and so knowledgeable about the local area and beyond
Loved how friendly, welcoming and relaxed the hosts were. Range of breakfast options was wonderful, as was the presentation and taste, with the finest local produce - the eggs were particularly outstanding. Ideally positioned for exploring Polperro.
Terrific hotel, in a great location run by very friendly and polite staff. The hotel was clean and lots of little details had been considered to make it a confortable place to stay. Great breakfast and a bonus to have somewhere to Park.
Beautiful house. Excellent hosts in Anna and Chris. Also, Nala was most welcoming. Clean, well equipped hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Wife ex-air stewardess and said it was one of best places she has syayed.
Fantastic views and stunning apartment. Short walk to Polperro and the harbour. Lots of great pubs/shops on hand. Lovely harbour and clear seas. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again!
Breakfast excellent. Location with parking was ideal as Polperro has limited access. Live music on Sunday afternoon was a great bonus. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food - good 'pub' food.
The room and facilities were very good, so was the parking.
Location was excellent both for Polperro and other coastal locations
Very clean and well equipped rooms
