Great friendly staff who couldn't do more to help us - would definitely come back to stay! Accommodated an early check out for a race the next day, and left us a lovely continental breakfast outside the room!
The room was lovely and clean, super comfortable and had all the amenities we'd need.

Beautiful lake.
Beautiful lake. We enjoyed the boat trip from the pier which allowed us to have nice family walks in the gorgeous Lake District. We also appreciated the kids-friendly local pubs and good outdoor spaces.
Castles and the Hadrian wall are also nearby. We loved our bank holiday week end in Pooley Bridge.

Lovely walks in the surrounding area, especially by the lake. Well stocked bookshop with lovely adjoining coffee shop. We travelled there by car, but there seems to be a good bus service, especially to Penrith and also saw one service bus going to Windermere.

Very busy but beautiful spot.
Very busy but beautiful spot. The views along Ullswater if you walk towards Howtown are fabulous…….i
More charm and less commercial than Windermere.
Once the crowds disappear or before they arrive is great
Except the Sun Inn the pubs are really food places not bars……
Central location and still fairly quiet in the room. I made this booking as the hotel was dog friendly, I was happy with the size of the double room for us, it was cosy and nicely furnished. I arrived back from walks to a clean room and fresh towels provided which was a bonus. The stay included breakfast with a good variety of options for food and re-fills on drinks. Staff were really helpful with any requests. Would definitely recommend to those visiting Pooley Bridge.
Amazing old school inn location where we spent some time while hiking Lake District - inn was full of tradition, very nice people that did everything to help us have a great time there and that was the most amazing part - whatever problem we had, they solved it with a smile. Food and restaurant were also great and it is just a great place that you can use for you travels or vacation.
We were self catering but took the scenic little walk to Pooley Bridge one morning.
The accommodation in the cottages is first class and spacious.
The location is perfect - pretty, great scenery all around and close to Lake Ullswater and all of the amenities and conveniences of the lovely Pooley Bridge village.
Fabulous breakfast good car park but busy at times. Make sure you book early to secure a preferred evening meal time; its popular for a reason. A range of Ales and decent menu. Large comfy bed and a nice bathroom with good shower and well equipped with various drinks, shortbread and fresh milk!
Cheerful place in a small town in the edge of the lake district. One gets the feel of being kind of in the North Woods.
Comfortable, friendly. Clean, Quiet, Easy checkin checkout, Nice dinner and included breakfast. Real small English pub atmosphere. Free safe parking. Easy to find.
Excellent location for Pooley Bridge. Gorgeous room, really good shower and bed was really comfy. Carpark has loads of spaces, but would recommend getting there early as it gets really busy with people having food in the pub/restaurant downstairs.
Would 100% recommend and stay again!
Amazing evening meal - we had the tasting menu. Comfortable and quiet room with nice toiletries, and polite and helpful staff. Free parking either adjacent to the hotel or nearby, and conveniently located in Pooley Bridge - a bit of an entrance to the Lakes
I've always loved Pooley Bridge been here many times staying at the campsite BUT never in the Crown Inn, I honestly can't fault the place, greeted well, service brilliant and nothing was a problem for the staff, well all, defo be back 👏
The house was beautiful. All rooms en-suite and plenty of space in the house. Beds really comfy and house was very clean. Lovely dining room and kitchen well equipped. Nice large garden too. Situated in the heart of Pooley Bridge.
Amazing location, cozy and comfy inside. Pooley Bridge is a short walk away (torch needed at night as no pavement to walk on and minimal road lighting). 1863 restaurant in Pooley Bridge is worth a visit.
The rooms were clean, bathrooms lovely and beds comfy. The view from the hotel is great and although not dedicated parking it was easy to find appropriate parking. Breakfast was tasty and good choices.
Excellent location in the centre of Pooley Bridge. The staff were excellent, really good service despite it being incredibly busy.
The breakfast was also very good, well cooked and very tasty
everything though I think the rooms are small for the cost.
- but the breakfast was exceptional and justified the cost.
Pooley bridge is so cute.
We would return for another treat!
