Fabulous location. Forest lodge was very up to date with twin showers. Beautiful and clean with fabulous hot tub that was maintained to a high standard. Would def go back it was so tranquil and the restaurant food of of a very high standard

Our room was really clean and comfortable with a lovely en-suite bathroom. It had kettle/tea/coffee facilities and the bed was so comfy.
The breakfast options were excellent, plentiful and very tasty. This accommodation is in a quiet position in the town but really close to all amenities and places to eat and drink. On site parking was a bonus and there was a lovely seating area outside.

Everything we could possibly need for our stay was available at the chalet, including tea and coffee (which was in the cupboard above the microwave). The chalet was very welcoming indeed, and extremely clean.

We loved everything about our stay. Such a lovely town with the most amazing panorama. House in general very well organised, spacious rooms and more than enough bathrooms and wc’s for a bigger family. We liked so much open kitchen with a dinning room, lovely for a bigger group to have a dinner together. Everyone been complimenting the beds and pillows, they been super comfy. Thank you for actually letting us stay, it has an incredible and unforgettable experience, literally the house is a little gem. Definitely coming again. Ps. A massive thank you for a housekeeper, she being so friendly and amazing.

Porthmadog, location was good for Snowdon, primary reason for going there. Seemed a little run down - personal opinion - didn’t have much time to look for places to eat and when we did they didn’t seem that obvious unless it was a pub or takeaway. The town is a busy little place with plenty of choices for eating out , bars etc. It a key access point for two heritage railways, and for Portmeiron. Black Rock Bay is superb, rolling dunes and sandy bay for miles. Very large holiday home resorts back onto the bay, though well hidden. So expect some very busy times and lots of families enjoying their weekends and holidays, out of season the beach is perfect for beach walks.MelvynUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Great restaurant's to take your pick from. A really lovely pub (The Australia) highly recommend and the Snowdonia national park on your doorstep . you can also take advantage of the main line train to do large sections of the Wales coastal path getting off and walking a section and on again at different stations, Note, please tell the conductor witch station you want to get off at as the train doesn't stop automatically at all stations. Welsh coastal path is stunning in and around porthmadog well worth walking.

We primarily chose this hotel so that we could spend time in Port Meirion village. We did go into Porthmadog and took a ride on the steam train. There are shops and cafes in Porthmadog but we dis not visit them.

Porthmadog is a great place to stay. Local shops and Tesco for shopping and petrol. Short ride to Black Rock Sands. Not to be missed. Drive on to the beach. Magical with stunning panoramic views. Ffestiniog Steam railway from the town. Portmeirion a short ride away. Stunning location. Not to be missed. Porthmadog great location for day trips out. The first night we were in a twin room in the attic. it was on the 3rd floor and I can barely walk. There was no lift. The room sucked so bad my husband told them we would not stay for a second night. The reception hostess was so nice. she managed to switch our room from the attic to the best room in the hotel for the 2nd night that room was very nice. it had a private patio, a king bed plus a twin, a larger bathroom and we were quite happy with it.

A lot of thought has clearly gone into furnishing this very well maintained property, with its "Tardis" like features. The 2 bedrooms are downstairs, along with a bathroom. The large upstairs area is open planned with both dining and lounge area, along with a well furnished kitchen. Well recommended in all aspects.

There are 4 bedrooms so if there is a family or group of friends this is ideal. A plus is is that there are 3 toilets and 2 seperate bathrooms.
