The Orangery, hotel in Reepham

The Orangery is set in lovely grounds around one mile from the village of Thurning. This beautifully restored property is housed in restored red-brick outbuildings.

Excellent accomodation, more of a self contained cottage than a B&B with own kitchen and continental breakfast provided. Warm and dry after abandoning our very wet camping trip ! Hot tub was an added luxury. Good value for money for family of 4.

Reepham is a small market town but has everything you need within a short walk. The Kings Head pub directly opposite was welcoming and friendly with excellent food. Reepham has free parking which is rare these days and it is convenient for visiting places of interest.

Charming village with interesting history. 17th century pub with really good food. One of two places in Europe to have 3 churches in one churchyard. Good for walks and hikes ( Marriott way). Quirky Boutique shops. Close to Norwich, not too far from the coast

We were visiting friends & family so were not primarily looking for ’attractions’. Both the restaurant in Reepham & the Kings Arms are good for evening meals although parking can be difficult. The Bell at Cawston is a little further but has an extensive menu & is good especially if you like large platefuls. Bawdeswell Garden Centre in the opposite direction is useful for daytime snacks, meals & gifts. The Marriotts Way is very close to Wood Farm for cycling & walking off-road. There are also more linking footpaths than in many parts of Norfolk.
