The room was as big as it needed to be and had a good shower. Fresh milk was provided for making Tea and coffee, and there were pleanty of sachets. The velux window might have been nice for stargazing on a clear night. We appreciated that the velux had a blind so that we were not woken at dawn.

Really lovely property with loads of history and good staff. The owner was amazing and lovely in helping sort an iron, ironing board and an electric fan. The hotel is recommended and I would stay again and wish the owner every success in continuing with the great service.

Little studio with everything we needed, clean and very comfortable beds. Heating came on in the evening which was very thoughtful of the keeper as we needed it. Overall we have had a fab time. Wifi might need a bit improving though.

The accommodation is compact but has been well planned. The accommodation is in glorious countryside but is not in fact that far from Saltash and Plymouth. It would be best using this accommodation in sunny weather as there is a good sitting out area and access to a barbeque. Though it is very rural there are local places that offer a take away service.
Would I stay again definitely yes.
The staff are really helpful and the facilities are great.
The cottages are great well stocked with utilities
Towels washing soaps. A big fridge/freezer oven dishes cutlery dishwasher.
There’s an Outside patio with table and chairs.
And not far from good attractions.
Would recommend it to anyone

The staff were welcoming and friendly, the accommodation is very good but is beginning to look tired and so could do with a refresh.
The food is OK but more choice would be welcome with a lower price.
Not so much to do if you don't like Golf like me.
The swimming pool and spar are very good and clean.

We had a room overlooking the golf course and would recommend booking one of these. It was lovely to look out onto the green and also to see ducks and other birds there. The swimming pool is a really good size - much bigger than other hotel pools.
The breakfast was excellent with a very wide selection.
One minor criticism - the spotlights at night on the bridge leading to the guest pass entrance are directed up to the sky rather than onto the path, so it was hard to see your way.

You do need a car to get around because it is in a beautiful secluded part of the Cornish countryside down long wooded lanes. We liked to drive to Widemouth Bay, where lots of people enjoyed a boxing day walk and lunch at the beach cafe there. Nearby is the lovely village of Calstock with it's quaint narrow streets and old houses and has walks by the river or up the hill to Cotehele, which is well worth a visit. Looe and Polperro are also a short drive away and really interesting places to visit.

Nice hotel, very clean, staff friendly but bed was extremely uncomfortable and it was disappointing that even though the government allowed indoor polls to be re-opened they hadn't put the measures in place to do this.
The room and bathroom was quite big, clean and comfy, nothing to fault here. We had Elemis Spa toiletries in the bathroom, even hand lotion. The breakfast was extra 12£ per person which seemed a lot at first, but they did not fail. Hot and cold buffett, coffee, juice, pastries and even a pancake-making machine. It was great!
The spa area was top notch: 3 pools, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and sun loungers. All clean and well kept. The changing facilities were clean all throughout, and it even had a flat iron and hair dryers.
Everything about our stay at St. Mellion was perfect. Even when there was a mistake with the room we were given, the staff went above and beyond to make sure it was corrected and that we were taken care of - they even gave us a bottle of champagne. The staff were the nicest I've ever come across staying in hotels; the breakfast was top notch with the next quality foods; and the leisure facilities that were available were wonderful.
A fantastic location for a family holiday - two of our party were able to play golf using the golf passes and we were all able to enjoy the St Mellion estate facilities which was an added bonus. Lovely and quiet, peaceful location and ideal base for exploring the area. Some fantastic pubs nearby to eat out and the house was fully equipped with everything you could need to enjoy a short or long break with family or friends.
The hotel was absolutely fantastic staff was very professional extremely polite and friendly the only downside to this whole experience was I made a reservation for dinner went down was seated and then left for 55 minutes. I left the restaurant without dinner or a drink and was very disappointed. Reception was extremely apologetic and later informed us that there was a miscommunication with the staff on who was serving us.
The cottage was lovely, the upside down set up was great, the kitchen was really well equipped. The cottage benefited from a rear decking area that had lovely furniture and a BBQ. Nicky was really helpful and always responded to messages very quickly. The facilities at St Mellions Golf Resort were brilliant, just a short 6 minute drive from the cottage or a 20-25 minute walk through the golf course.
Relaxing and quiet farm location. Hosts Richard and Sarah were very welcoming. Breakfast was superb every day. Very good menu options and took care of our dietary requirements really well.
Great location for the golf at St Mellion and close to some really nice pub restaurants such as the Weary Friar, Carpenters Arms and The Notter Bridge Inn.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was great. Food was available and was good. Breakfast expensive considering the basics offered but plenty of it.
couldn’t fault it one bit. beautiful location, lovely room. staff were helpful. Would have given 10 stars but the restaurant was out of use. other than that it was perfect.
Very spacious room, comfy bed. A large bathroom with a bath and shower. A very quiet location. Lovely friendly staff throughout the hotel. Wonderful swimming pools.
