Beautiful property in a stunning location, rooms were very luxurious and comfortable and the views were stunning! Vicki was a great host, and the breakfasts were incredible, just what we needed before a day of hiking. It was a lovely touch coming back in the afternoon to home-baked cakes. Would recommend this property to anyone coming to Skye.

The Loch Eyre Oasis is just 10 minutes away from Portree and at a very lovely location for sunsets.
We had a great time here and everything what we needed, was provided. Bernadett was also very responsive and we could feel how welcome we were

The location was perfect for us as we were heading to the ferry port which was a few minutes away in the car. Angus was always available if we needed to ask anything.
Staffing is an amazing place.
Lots of walks, views, nature and activities.
A tiny dinosaur’s museum at just 5’ away.
Just around the corner of the beach and waterfalls.
Great views from outside the house and good internet.

The area around Staffin is so beautiful.
The area around Staffin is so beautiful. Very secluded so you do need a car. It’s very close to the Quiriang for hiking or just checking out the beautiful vistas. We used this as our home base for Isle of Skye and everything on Skye is easily accessible from the Staffin area. Things are all close distance wise, but driving is slow on the narrow roads so will take longer than you think and Apple Maps actually did a very good job at predicting the time for a journey. The roads were better than we expected but do keep an eye out for potholes!
We cooked our meals but Portree has lots of options for restaurants and groceries. Staffin itself has a small convenience store and cafe with friendly staff.

While at Staffin we drove and/or walked to many of the local and nearby areas and points-of-interest. No matter what we found the views unique and worth the effort, and, the people extraordinarily welcoming, helpful and happy to answer our questions about the town and its history. Being near the ocean the roads, hills and sidewalks offered very walkable options for our outdoor sojourns — just be sure to dress in layers as the wind can quickly change to feel of the day.

Not very much to do here as most everything is closed other than a Spar shop and takeaway, quite dissapointed to be honest as there are quite a few B&B's in the area with not a lot of choice for eating dinner etc, other than a hotel which charged me 50% of my B&B stay for dinner, ridiculous in my opinion.......will never be back

I dragged my partner up to Staffin to hunt for dinosaur footprints - and we found some! Sadly the dinosaur museum was shut when we were there, but we've added it to our list for when we go back... We also checked out the castles in the area. Really lovely scenery - you can see the Old Man of Storr nearby which would be perfect for keen walkers...

We stay there and everything there is more than enough for any one .
This is a very charming home with all the characters..even the indoor plants have a wow factor.
I would definitely recommend this ...living there was such a pleasure
There is a beach within a walking distance and its feel like very private ...no many people just one or 2 .
There is plenty to enjoy ...walking hiking and climbing .
We went to fairy pools so don't forget to get some midges spray :)and recommend good hiking shoes.
Old man of Storr is another place where tou can go ...even just sitting in the garden or conservatory is a magical experience.
Definitely recommend and wants to go back and stay more just to enjoy my walks to the beach ⛱
We loved the location and the look of the cottage, it was great being in a traditional building. Staffin is a beautiful area and not too busy but still has amenities near by.
The cottage was very clean and well stocked. I had brought my own washing up liquid and stuff but that wasn't needed as it had been provided for us. We were left some Skye ales and shortbread as a welcome gift which we found very thoughtful.
Anne and Donald were lovely hosts who were there if we needed them but also left us to enjoy our holiday.
The home was very easy to find in Staffin as there was signage starting at the main road. The room was large and included a small sitting area for eating, a mini-fridge with fresh milk, and a lovely tea set up. We had plenty of room for our luggage and the en-suite bathroom was clean and convenient. The bed was large and comfy and we felt right at home! The breakfast was delicious and served in a fantastic room with views of the ocean and the dramatic landscape of Skye. We would definitely stay here again!
The location was perfectly situated between Portree and Staffin on the prettiest little piece of land with views of the coast on one side and a vegetable garden on the other. The house itself was very modern, clean, and well appointed with all the things you could want for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was heavenly with a rainfall shower and fluffy towels. The bed was a beautiful work of art with the highest quality and most comfortable bedding. The temperature control was perfect.
I came to Skye looking for peace, quiet, beauty and green. This B&B delivered and then some. Being on the bus route (and since I did not drive on this trip) meant I was able to get around quite a bit to see some beautiful sites. Breakfast was bountiful, with several options to choose from. The breakfast room is a delight with a wonderful view of the mountains and Staffin bay and separate tables for each room. Above all, Donald is a gracious and accommodating host! Fully recommend.
The location was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful landscape. The food in the restaurant was the best food we had in Scotland during our vacation. Delicious and beautifully presented. Nicole was amazing. She was so nice and helpful, not only with the hotel and restaurant but helping us find stunning hikes in the area. Thanks for everything Nicole!
Fantastic location in Staffin at the top part of the island next to a loch, beautiful and peaceful. Great facilities, log burner, comfy sofas, dishwasher and great bathrooms. The bath needs a mention as it's amazing, and the view from the window is perfect when you go for a bath. recommended!
Best B&B we've stayed at.
The room was very spacious and clean, the location is amazing and our hosts were the nicest.
Breakfast was also delicious!
We hope to return for an autumn trip to the Isle of Skye in the future and stay at the Beinn Edra House B&B again as we loved it so much.
I know this property well having lived here for some months a few years ago. It was lovely to go back. Staffin is the best place to stay on Skye. Everything that matters is close by. Rachel is a perfect hostess and the property is immaculate. The views of sunrise were spectacular.
Beautiful location on isle of Skye! A stylish , comfortable hotel with an amazing restaurant in the most idyllic setting! Waking up with the view of the ocean and the scent of wildflowers was one of the most relaxing experiences of our vacation
We had a very nice stay at this B&B and enjoyed talking with our hostess!
Also enjoyed the selection of tea and hot chocolate :-)
This is a unique house, very close to the Quiraing area. We got lots of sightseeing tips for the Isle of Skye.
- the history of the hotel
- the staff is absolutely lovely and very pro
- the Flora McDonald cottage is very cute and comfy
- the breakfast and the dinner were absolutely delicious! The quality of the food is excellent and worth any penny.
Great location for exploring the Isle of Skye. Dianne our host was very warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. Excellent packed breakfasts every morning which we took out on our walks.
Very peaceful location with lovely view of the ridge. Everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Had a great swim at Staffin slipway beach (sandy) one evening in the sunshine.
Superb view of Quiraing and Staffin bay, close by to all the places we wanted to visits, superb host Donald who welcome us and make our stay so comfortable. Highly recommended.
We stayed at the McDonald cottage, real nice atmosphere. The view from Flodigarry is unbelievable! Food was good. We enjoyed the stay! Beautiful hikes right from the hotel.
Delightful, lovely home. Fantastic location in Staffin, and host Donald was so kind. Breakfast was great and cooked to order. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
