Clean, very adequate facilities with nice touches, and comfortable. We had 3 cottages for a one night stay prior to my daughters wedding at Hanbury, and it was perfect for what we wanted.

Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside.
Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside. The high street has retained its quite select features, is clean and well cared for. The hotel is central to the street. Not a place for retail therapy but one excellent antique centre in the old Chapel plus a few eateries and take-seats. Overall it is a lovely central place to stay.

Lovely little village, quiet but went in March.
Lovely little village, quiet but went in March. Castle not open but we had a pleasant walk around the village. There are a few shops for browsing.
The Courtyard cafe is worth a visit - had a lovely brunch there and the coffee was great!
the Hourglass is also recommended - light evening meals - had the veggie platter; very nice

Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history. Nice food at the Dog and Partridge, bit tricky to get to using the Satnav from Alton Towers but might have been my navigation! Will be visiting again soon.

A lovely little town, and very quiet at night, until a poor lady with mental health issues kicked off in the street in the middle of the night. Looking back, I should have called 999, but someone did come along and calm her down.

Ideally located for our friends' wedding at Tutbury Castle. Exceptionally clean, all little details covered down to different types of pillows and fresh milk left in the fridge. Great communication from the owner, really helpful with local enquiries. We will definitely be back again if we are in the area. Thank you!
We liked the fact that everything we could possibly need had been provided within the price paid.
We liked the modern interior and cleanliness and comfortable beds.
We liked the location next door to Tutbury Castle and High street
We liked the owners who were keen to help with anything
Very stylish and luxurious. Huge bed was so comfortable. Perfect location as guests at a wedding at Tutbury Castle which we could see from the house! Gorgeous toiletries. Sarah the host was a fabulous communicator. Do not hesitate to book this. Worth paying the price for.
The hotel itself was situated in the town which was very pretty.
The staff at the hotel were really helpful and polite.
Breakfast and dinner was very well cooked and presented, compliments to the chef.
Air Con in the rooms, not expected for such an old building.
A 15th Century Coaching Inn, full of character and history in a pleasant area of Tutbury. An overnight stay as we travelled home. Relatively quiet location with large car park to the rear. Typical pub fare. Good dinner, adequate self service breakfast.
Weve stayed here before and the staff and the food was as good as before. The staff work hard and the evening meal although a limited menu was excellent once again. Its a comfortable hotel and our room was very quiet and had a very comfy bed
A beautiful and sympathetic refurbishment of this old property made it a pleasure to just walk into! Amazing to be overlooked by the atmospheric castle ruins and a superb location so close to all the facilities in Tutbury.
Very well decorated and very comfy bed.
Fantastic view of Tutbury castle from the decking area.
Lots of nice shops and cafe’s and pubs
Parked right in front of house, free car park 1 minute away as well.
It was self contained which was a lot better than a hotel. It can be booked for one or two nights which was perfect for us. It allowed dogs which is a bonus
