Great little find in a lovely area. Rooms had a boutique type feel and food was top notch too. Staff were really friendly and check in/out was smooth. All round a great place to stay for a quick business trip, but I’d be happy to stay for a weekend too.

Feathers by Chef & Brewer Collection, hotel in Ware

In the pretty Hertfordshire village of Wadesmill, this beautifully preserved 17th-century coaching inn combines modern comforts with original features.

The room was much better than expected, very clean and fresh. ground floor so excellent for those with mobility problems. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the quirky milk urn and welcome gift. Breakfast was ample for the price and the pub was friendly and welcoming. We did not find fault in anything, highly recommended.

I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends. Ware is now a far nicer town than Hertford (for a long time it was the other way round). Lots of nice bars, pubs, restaurants etc. Nice place.

Compact but attractive own with many nice old buildings with a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The musem, churches and river also gives it a greater sense of place. The good rail link alao means that London is only 50 odd minutes away. The only main problem is, at times, the heavy traffic going through the high street.

Ware is a pleasant small river town with some lovely old buildings. Plenty of pubs restaurants and coffee houses. If the weather is good you can walk to Hartford 1.5 miles along the river which is another old town steeped in history.

The village is small but pituresque.

The village is small but pituresque. When you throught the square behind the church in the night you can see a iluminated three and just there you can eat in some restaurant. Futher, there is a river throughting the village and the views are wonderful.
