When we were in North Bali, we accidentally discovered this accommodation. We had a fantastic stay at Villa Papa Putu. The property was extremely well presented, clean and spacious, fully equipped kitchen and living/dining room. The rooms are decorated with sandstone which make the rooms look beautiful. The swimmingpool is not very big, but it is fantastic for 2 people in a private villa. Our hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, communication was excellent. They offered us a free welcome fruits from the region. Nice location but it needs some attention, for example - it is recommended that you rent/have a scooter in order to get arround. The accommodation overall was comfortable and we would recommend this villa if you are in north Bali!!

This place feels like home! It's spacious, clean and nice, very private and quiet. Matches the description, had everything we needed. Good kitchen, 2 aircons, wifi, washer, scooter rental,.. We have been at the Villa Sha San gar for 14 days and we enjoyed this vacation very much, we had a very relaxing time, the staff in the house made sure of it. The villa itself is a bit away from restaurants and stores, but just because of that it was nice and quiet there. The staff (thanks to Asih and her team) came by in the morning to make a great American (and once a Bali) breakfast , including smoothies, fresh fruit and juices. After cleaning our rooms, we were asked when we will need the complimentary taxi to bring us to any place we prefer (usually we went to the Buda Bakery and restaurant), and afterwards we were picked up again, thanks to the coordination from Asih and her team we were never stranded anywhere, the entire team is phantastic. They also helped us to plan some trips by getting us a driver for the whole day, and not to forget they also had someone who brought us to look at some dolphins in the morning by boat. The Villa itself is not one of the newer ones, some things could be repaired or updated, but this was not a big thing to us, the house is huge, the location is great, the pool, the house and the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, the AC worked, the kitchen has a Coffee maker, a smoothie maker, a big fridge and freezer, we were happy.

We cannot rate this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived down the grand concrete stairs and across the beautiful bridge over the river into reception, Ayu and her family have been the most welcoming and wonderful hosts we have had on our 6month journey around South East Asia so far. It felt like visiting family, and we spent every evening having lovely long talks with Ayu after the most wonderful home cooked Indonesian food in their restaurant. Ayu's husband is a brilliant cook. The hotel is perfectly positioned next to the holy hot springs but there's no real need to visit and pay the entrance fee as you have your own free and private hot spring bath at the hotel. The accommodation is nestled into the green jungle hillside, and in the evening the only things you hear are the crickets and the flow of the spring water, which is truly relaxing. Ayu arranged for her husband to take us to visit the beautiful buddhist monastery (which is also walkable but it was a particularly warm day) at a very reasonable price, but they can also rent you scooters. You can book a lovely peaceful massage right in the grounds of the hotel as well. Nothing was too much trouble, and Ayu also kindly provided us with a kettle for the room. This hotel is just brimming with rustic charm. It is not a 5 star resort, but instead it has the most wonderful character and we didn't want to leave! Terima kasih banyak to Ayu and family 🙏 we hope to return one day!

A lovely breakfast with stunning views. The lodge is close to the Buddhist temple and an easy drive to the Hot Springs. Everyone was so helpful and generous with their time: could organise transport, massages etc. Planning to stay again next year for longer
