The location was great, the restaurant and also the area around it was done very pretty. The welcome snack was huge and extremely tasty. Staff was very friendly. 20 minute walk to the water temple, good to do, not a pretty walk as you have to follow the main road.

There was beautiful garden with many flowers, and beautiful chickens walking through a field of flowers. There were rest areas on the roof overlooking the lake. Beautiful Ulun Danu Bratan Park is front of the hotel. We could visit before it got crowded with group tourists. The restaurant didn’t have wine, but we could bring wine.

Village Above The Clouds, hotel in Bedugul

I started writing this review before we left so i would not forget the multitude of positive points here at Atas Awan. So many positives we decided to stay an extra night. Although we have been before one forgets the beautiful uniqueness of this property. From stunning views to top quality food to amazing staff who cannot do enough for you its just been one totally perfect stay. Of course the gardens as well are a sight to be hold so well done to the garden team also. Here is perfect for just doing nothing really or perhaps reading or a game of cards or special time with your partner and if in to Yoga they have an excellent room for Yoga groups. Note no tv but who cares when you have scenery all around you. They do have good wifi just the same. If you are considering staying in central Bali and want to enjoy a beautiful temperate climate with no air con needed here is your perfect getaway. We of course will return and tell them when booking are 2 or more nights possible. In closing as past hoteliers we acknowledge in tropical humid climate maintenance is essential as wear and tear are always an issue for a property over time but here they do their utmost for your stay to be trouble free.

With amazing weather and multiple picturesque locations in and around, Bedugul is a must visit for people looking to explore the REAL Bali. I have been to Bali twice and find Kuta/Seminyak/Nusa Dua and the other most frequented places to be too touristy and commercial. You will enjoy every bit of the humble hospitality that the Balinese have to offer when you explore the unexplored! The locals treat you like royalty and are the most polite of indigenous population I have come across throughout my little travel across the world

bedugul has limited offerings. good passing thru spot. the temple is disappointing and the market has quite a lot of possible purchases but the shop owners are very pushy. the botanical gardens and the lovely garden centre lined street leading up are worth a wander.

Bedugul is great for a day time trip to see the temple and lakes, for a few hours. Some nice warungs with cheap and tasty food. Wouldn’t recommend staying overnight in bedugul though, especially if you don’t have a motorbike/car yourself.

We stayed in Bedugul and went to Jatiluwih rice's fields and around. Find Pak Gede with his family @FarmLand and experience with him how to plant rice and listen to his love of Mother Earth!!! Unforgettable experience for us and our 2 children (12 and 11y old)!

This hotel is spacious and has spectacular views of the valley and mountains everywhere you are at. It has nice, clean and comfortable rooms with great Tvs, nice outdoor balcony, and a big bathroom. Beautiful surrounding terraces and gardens, nice pool. The food at the upstairs restaurant is wonderful. The breakfast buffet has so many selections you won’t need to eat until dinner. The staff in the entire hotel are super friendly. I highly recommend and would stay here again if I came back to the area.

Very cosy and cute place, even the road is nearby... They did a lot to diminish the sound of traffic during busy moments during the day, there is even a nice text about it in every room! Very private little bungalows surrounded by nature. Feels like coming home! And the restaurant is great, excellent breakfast too! Visiting Bedugul we always choose this wonderful place.

Probably the best location I've been so far in Bali, the dawn on the Agung from my tiny bamboo tree house was unforgettable. The place is a peaceful retreat managed by a super nice family. It's in an ideal position to discover the central mountains and its lakes and the famous botanical garden of Bedugul. I will definitely come back one day!

This camp is closer to Beratan Temple 5min Walking. I looked for a peaceful place to stay and be in touch with nature. What I like most is the service. Agus and his Sister were very kind and charming. Food was delicious. If you want to discover the north of Bali, I totally recommend to Stay in ECO Bedugul adventurer camp.

Completely surprised us. The online photos do not do it justice. Opened in April 23, educational concept and gardens, villas super clean and very modern. As a base to explore Bedugul excellent location. We used it as a base to climb Gunung Catur and visit Pura Pucak Mangu, the northern guardian temple.

This is such an awesome place to stay and the view is breathtaking. The location is good, short walk to Botanical garden and lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A must stay in Bedugul. The breakfast is also delicious. But if you are not very mobile, best to avoid as there are many steps.
