Beach is okay, we weren't able to swim as the waves are big and water current is strong but it still gives us a perfect view while having a very well prepared and healthy breakfast. The room, what more I can say, it exceeded our expectations. The hotel restaurants has never disappointed us, the food is so good, healthy and yummy, it gives me excitement what to order on our next meal. We would go back definitely.

Beautiful villa. Very friendly staff. Perfect for a family with small children. We were with two kids aged 2 and 5. Very personal attention. We found one staircase to be unsafe and within an hour, a board was crafted for us to make the staircase safe. Everything is beautifully designed with a gorgeous garden and pool. Lovely river views. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed all the luxury. We actually spent most of our time at the villa, it felt like home. We had guests over who could comfortably sleep in the guest quarters.

Unique stay where we got to live in a tower, enjoy our own pool and an unforgettable view.
The owners are amazing.
Komang made our trip A++. We got to experience the rice fields, coffee tasting, a trip in the jungle, Ulun Danu Beratan temple and plenty of delicious food and fruits from the area.

I can't generalize the whole area because it's really big. There are some nice views and, surely, there are many places to visit. But the transfers take too much time, bumpy roads, hilly, upside-down, left-to-right and so on. You have to have a lot of patience to go there.

The beaches in this area not very good.
The beaches in this area not very good. To travel to any tourist land mark takes minimum 30 minutes buy scooter. Grab and Gojek not available in this area. So need to definitely rent a scooter. I booked 13 days stayed 10 and left.
Yhe shower had a water saver shower head, took a really long time to actually get wet using it. Ended up removing shower head and showering under open hole. Food was terrible at resort. Was sick first 4 days then started eating at other areas. There is honestly nothing of interest near this location. Internet had problems with wifi modem everyday, lucky to get 30 minutes use each day.
Laundry was cheap. Local food cheap. But everything else was just bad

So good to be away from busy South Bali.
So good to be away from busy South Bali.
Here it is all about real balinese life and tradition.
For sure the main road is just a way to go there but once you step out of it this is lush, nature, villages with soul.

Tabanan is the region of Bali south of Denpasar and north of Kuta etc. So although it includes Tanah Lot - the very popular Hindu beach temple, it also has many unspoilt areas of rice fields, farms, very pretty, clean villages and glorious empty beaches although we didn't swim due to the rips on our local beach. There is a marvellous pottery in Pejatan where you can not only buy some lovely local ceramics but do classes as well. We also visited the Subak museum (we were the only visitors there and had a guide take us round) where they explain the village rice growing organisations and the Mangarana Memorial Park which has a war memorial commemorating all the Balinese who died against the Dutch in the war of independence in 1949 and the graves of the 89 guerillas who died in an actual battle there, including their leader, I Gusti Ngurah Rai (after whom the Airport at Denpasar is named) The driver from our hotel showed us his Uncles grave, which has their village name on it. So much to see but such rural quiet if you want it; great area for cycling or walking and exploring.

MY REVIEW OF TABANAN ITSELF WAS GREAT.
MY REVIEW OF TABANAN ITSELF WAS GREAT.
BUT AS FOR THE ACCOMMODATION, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY. BOOKED THE ARYA RIVERSIDE VILLA AND ENDED UP HAVING TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE BOOKED THIS VILLA IN FEB 2019 FOR 2 NIGHTS IN JULY. GAVE OUR CREDIT CARD AND PAID FOR THIS ACCOMMODATION. GOT TO THE VILLA TO FIND IT PADLOCKED UP AND NOBODY AROUND TO BOOK US IN WAITED 2 HOURS FOR SOMEONE TO TURN UP AND SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO THE NUMBER ON OUR BOOKING SHEET - NO ANSWER ON THAT PHONE. NO TELEPHONE NUMBERS AT THE VILLA TO CALL ANYONE TO OPEN UP THE VILLA. HAD TO LEAVE AFTER 2 HOURS TO FIND OUR ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION. WE ARE TRYING TO NOW GET A FULL REFUND FROM THE COMPANY. NO JOY YET. VERY ANRGY AND DISAPPOINTED WITH BOOKING.COM AND THE OWNERS OF THE VILLA.

This place was amazing.
This place was amazing. Far away from everything except a restaurant up the beach which was a bit expensive but ok and a few tiny local shops. It’s unique and has magical gardens that are very highly maintained. Situated between rice fields and the black sandy beach. What a perfect escape for a couple to a family. Would definitely recommend.
Staff is very welcoming, especially Hendra & Mila who were just awesome throughout the whole stay. The pavilions are very private, and the staff is careful about announcing their presence and requesting to enter before coming anywhere near your private spaces (pool/river deck). The breakfast is also super good, and they serve the best avocado smash & pancakes we had in Bali. Lastly, cleanliness is great as the rooms are sprayed twice a day with insect repellent and they do a great job at housekeeping.
Wonderful stay, great escape to the jungle
I've changed tent option to the wooden house and enjoyed stay more there.
Stuff is very helpful and supportive in the hotel food is nice, highly recommend this place if you want to disconnect from everything and breath out .
My special gratitude to Wayan who helped me a lot to have medicine, I got flu after couple of days.
In the hotel you can have massage and yoga, ask host.
Also possible to have barbecue and sit next to the fireplace.
We loved everything about our stay at Nirjhara. The hotel is beautiful and is set in a stunning lush oasis, featuring its very own waterfall and in the midst of rice terraces. Alejandro, the manager, and the entire staff were simply amazing. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the level of service was exceptional throughout our stay. We loved every minute of our time at Nirjhara. Thank you to the whole Nirjhara team!
All Staff were very attentive and accommodating.
The spa massage was the best I ever experienced. My whole family enjoyed it very much.
The room & furnishings were immaculately clean. Private villa pool is well maintained & water is very clean too.
The nearby black sand beach is 6 mins drive away, pristine waters, and very few tourists in Sept, quiet & private-like
Very convenient & well stocked mini Mart besides reception area.
Umasari guests can enjoy beautiful views over the rice fields and can stay in traditional style houses. The site boasts two pretty pools and us attractively planted. The hotel is integrated into a working land scape of rice paddies with ploughing and harvesting activities to watch. There are also spectacular river views from the restaurant with the chance to see kingfishers. The food was very good and the staff delightful.
Our stay at Ranggon D’tukad was an absolute highlight of our several weeks in Bali thus far! The villa is private and along a beautiful rice field and river/stream. The warung they run has incredible (and affordable) traditional balinese food. Ketut is, and has been, deeply involved in the local community and is an amazing resource to learning the area. Rest and respite are truly found here in this incredibly serene stay!
Such an amazing, beautiful property - I couldn't stop taking photos! The jungle gardens are incredible.
Lovely private villa with pool, but also the opportunity to socialise over breakfast by the main pool, including with the friendly resident kitten.
Staff are wonderful - attentive without being intrusive, and seem to really appreciate each other and their work - like a happy family!
It's a beautiful place and good to relax for a few days. Much space, very comfortable, chill atmosphere and not too expensive to stay. You really feel home. The hostess Tania is friendly and helps if you have questions and makes good recommondations for which places to visit and where to eat. I met lovely people there and I'd love to come back if I visit Tabanan again.
I love the location and the nature around <3
the child corner is great, WhatsApp communication is great, food was tasty, you can borrow a scooter for free for 2h, beautiful view from the big windows in the villa, staff was helpful, the villa had almost everything you need :) WiFi connection was good, having little shop in the hotel area is great! - Generally I LOVE IT!
We loved the whole atmosphere of the hotel, it is in the middle of the rice fields. The balinese architecture was amazing, it's like you were in a temple.
We loved our bungalow and the open air bathroom. The pool, the massage, the kitchen, and the staff, everything were fantastic.
We will be back for sure.
The hotel is in the middle of the forrest making it very peaceful and giving you a nature experience. Do not miss out on the massage, we had a balinese massage and it was top
the staff were extra friendly and the food was clean and delicious.
highly recommended for couples
The villas are truly magnificent, cooling and quiet AC, comfortable bed, beautiful private garden with covered seating area, Netflix during heavy rainfall, bathroom is the most beautiful I have seen in Bali.
Pool, lotus ponds and gardens are well maintained.
Amazing Resort in beautiful Tabanan, with great Pool, Ponds and even a waterfall. Great food.
Location was chosen to be a part of our Jalan Emas pilgrimage from the Spirit Hills project and is highly recommaned to all who is doing this walk
I stay for my husband Birthday. They decorated the beds with flowers. Private pool was pretty size. I love it.
Bathroom had a little bit smelly. Other are perfect.
Thank you for your warm welcome! See you next time!
