We loved the views over the fields to the lake and Norwegian decor & artifacts in the rebuilt barn.

If you’re traveling to Voss the Elva is a must do.A lovely modern hotel right next to the Fjord and the spa baths are just great. The rooms and buildings are an architectural master piece beautiful Scandinavia design. We didn’t eat in the restaurant because unfortunately you need to book your meal the day before but for what we could see the food looked great too. All the staff were very accommodating good breakfast too maybe 2 eggs would be good ! Even the breakfast was a piece of art.
Boasting mountain views, Voss Hytte/Cabin is located in Skulestadmo, 100 metres from Bavallsekspressheisen. Complimentary WiFi is offered.

One of the best cabins in Voss area!
Super nice location and you have the ski area right about 2 min walking from !
Super cozy place inviting you to relax and chill.
You have everything you need from the kitchen to bedroom, it’s really worth the price.
We will 100% come back

Voss is clearly the sporting capital of Norway whether it is Summer or Winter. Everything is in easy reach.
Hotel was adjacent to the Gondola, Railway Station, Tourist information centre & close to lake & town. Our stay was in a traditional room with view of the lake. Perfect blend of traditional and modern. It had the singularly most advanced en-suite facilities I have ever used. Japanese technology & German manufacturing. Wonderful balcony for a couple to relax in. Room size was to USA standard with seating for 5, writing bureau, 55 inch TV, etc.
Swimming Pool with personal lockers. Didn’t use the restaurant but bar meals were good with range of local beers. A number of individual reception rooms for quiet times, reading or family discussion. Staff are efficient & welcoming.
Highly Recommended

One of the best stop over points with all possible tourist attractions in the fjord area. Voss by itself has quite a lot of activities to fill up your family vacation for more than 3 to 4 days like Rafting, Gorge hike , hiking in general , Gondol to mountain and back. You can travel in either directions away from Voss to two different fjords with outstanding views.

Easy to get to from Bergen by train, bus or car - right into a beautiful hiking and skiing location. The city itself is flat and easy to get around, with many small cafes and restaurants. There are some very nice shops selling hiking equipment. If you plan a ahead, you can coordinate buses or local train to hiking destinations just outside the city so you can be car free for your time here.

A characterful little town.
A characterful little town. It would be great to have a dog sitter service though, we could have done loads more activities so perhaps a good initiative for some students to get involved with the info office in creating a little business. There were so many people with dogs.

Voss is a town falling in the NIN route and has an under rated beauty of its own. In all probaility you might take the bus from gudvangen to reach voss enroute to bergen or take the train from Bergen. It has a small but nice town centre with a good city square in the middle dotted with pretty much shops of every type. I did not find much difference in the daily essentials price with oslo but maybe found the bread and food a bit more fresh. If you start walking up or riding up whatever may be the case, you would be enchanted with the scenary that you will chance upon below. There are good amount of walking trails and adventures for all ages but what I liked best was the peace and tranquility.
The owner and the staff were incredibly wonderful. The communication from the owner was outstanding and the friendly faces throughout the hotel made my stay better. They smiled, answered questions and went above a d beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We received a room upgrade from owner and we were thankful. The hotel is extremely clean which is important to me and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Please walk around the garden. It is beautiful and it smells wonderful. The location is perfect, serene and quiet.
For us what made this hotel great was the breakfast and the people. Everyone was so kind and nice to us and the breakfast spread was phenomenal. Lots of options even vegan and gluten free. Also their take away lunch box is a great value for money. The rooms were ok, they had a nice view and nice comfy beds. Since our room wasn't cleaned up when we arrived, we received another upgraded one which I really appreciated. All in all I would definitely recommend it and I would come back anytime.
We chose this hostel only because the photo had a beautiful view from the window. Unfortunately, this is the only plus of this place. The girl at the reception, Gunver, was very kind and nice to us, many thanks to her.
We would not advise staying in this hostel, because for such a price, it was possible to rent a hotel room with all amenities. Unfortunately, we hoped for better conditions.
Amazingly convenient location - you can walk straight from the bus or train platform into the hotel, grab ski passes in reception and get on the gondola up to the slopes. Rooms were spacious and comfortable..The breakfast buffet was incredible with a huge selection and for 85 nok you can pack a lunch to take up to the slopes which is a fraction of the cost of buying something up there.
This place is in an exceptional location, right on a large lake, amazing views out our window. Also, enjoyed the small town and the hike to the spectacular waterfall above town - not to be missed! Room and beds were comfy and quiet. Liked the easy access from the train station. Breakfast was a disappointment, not much available, not the quality we found in other Norwegian hostels.
Cleanliness, amazing huge breakfast, helpful staff, big comfy beds, thick curtains enabling you to create darkness during the night (important in these parts of the world during summer). Parking is close and not that expensive (for Nordic country anyway). Although the hotel is basically adjacent to bus stop, train stop, and gondola port, the noise is basically non-existent.
I think this is Norway's oldest hotel and we loved that it clearly had history.
Voss was an amazing place; if not the single MUST visit place in Norway.
The staff were both friendly and helpful.
The food was great.
The location was great.
The activities nearby were great.
The location is outstanding for train travelers as well as people with cars. We hopped off the train and waltzed directly into the hotel front door. The view from the terrace and the breakfasts are fantastic. The room was comfortable and offered plenty of space.
The Fleischer's deceive their customers by posting nice pictures, accepting reservations and check-in guests at nearby (300m) Fleischer's hotel. But guests are directed to nearby run down Fleischer's motel. Pls avoid Fleischer's
Everything was perfect! The hotel is amazing and I loved the decor. The breakfast was AMAZING!! We had dinner there and there is a bar so we did everything there and didn't need to leave. Prefect experience! Beautiful hotel.
This hotel is pretty authentic, great big room with huge windows, good bathroom, clean shared kitchen. The area is quiet and beautiful. There is a football field to play. The hotel itself is very atmospheric.
Hotel is just at excellent location in voss , clean and big standard rooms with elaborate breakfast . Its just built on the Voss railway station with all tourist attraction at your hands reach.
A charming good old grand hotel. Beautiful interior and, yes, some inconveniences you have to accept. Very good price/quality kitchen and an overpriced winelist, but that's Norway I guess.
I was for a treatment at the hospital. It was a god place to stay. Quiet and practical. We could use the facilities of the hotel. Nice bar and restaurant and wellness. Excellent place.
