It was one of the most amazing experiences I have had on vacation. It's more of a palace than a hotel. The pool area, the rooms, the architecture/design, also the quality of the food. The gardens, the breakfast inner court/patio left us speechless.

The staff was very nice and helpful. It's very astonishing to see such beatiful decorations once you get in the hotel. the location is very close to the Ferry stop, walking distance. Highly recommend it, you will find it very enjoyable.

The place is really nice, a bit far from the center but they provide a free boat transfer to the other side. The food was very tasty, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It was also really nice to enjoy the pool with a nice view of the Nile.

    Luxor is an amazing location, feels almost like an Italian city, with the antiquities in the heat of the city, the wide river and river boats. We met really nice people, but unfortunately met a few scammers too. Shopping can be a bit of a hassle, with people pulling you in. I gave up and shopped in Cairo instead.

    The hot air balloon was really the highlight of our tour in Luxor. No one should miss it along with the visits to the Valley of the Kings, Queens and Hatshetsup Palace. Downtown Luxor was also a must-see specially the old market place and the Luxor Temple and don't forget about the local food.

    Luxor's archaeological sites are the most impressive I've ever seen. They are spectacular. I went in April, in spring, and the temperature reached 38 degrees Celcius. The locals told me that in summer the temperature will be around 50 degrees. The population appears to be very poor and the city is poorly maintained. Whenever possible, supplement payments with tips. This is expected by the people providing the services.

    So much !

    So much ! Magic Carpet Tours were excellent, organising a wonderful balloon ride, a dreamy sunset felucca trip to Banana Island, an amazing driver called Hassim who took me to the Valley of the KIngs, Hatshepsut's Temple, Karnak, Memnon Colossi, Temple of Luxor, and didn't hurry me at all. He drove me to Aswan the next day via Edfu and Kom Ombo. Luxor is fabulous, busy, lots of street sellers trying to get you buy or ride in their horse carriage, but a polite 'La Shukran' (no thank you) was fine and they are just making a living like the rest of us! Nefertiti Hotel was a peaceful sanctuary, and I would not have missed Luxor for the world. Personal highlights: Karnak Temples and Seti's tomb at the Valley of the Kings - awe-inspiring.

    The temples and archaeological sites are amazing. But beware of many people in Luxor trying to get you on the horse and cart, boats, sell you stuff, and who follow you around trying to con you. Dont be duped into going to the "one day a week" market that is a bazaar/shop in a dirty back street. If you dont buy anything they will demand 1000EGP anyway. The souk (market) is ok, but the harassment to buy is too much. I felt very uncomfortable after 3 days and wanted to get out of there

    This hotel is a perfect little safe haven amongst the lovely chaos of Egypt! We were greeted Jorda and his on site team and catered to our every need. Mr Mostafa the owner was also a very nice man and would help us if we asked but was truly an unforgettable experience due to Jorda. The hotel backs onto a small lake that you are able to take a boat out to watch the sunset, the food is absolutely delicious. Jorda spoke with us taught us about Luxor and traditions and really was a pleasure to be acquainted with. Will be staying again!

    The management is excellent, Ashaf is always willing to help and reply very fast. He help us to coordinate tours and Fellucas to cross to the other side. The apartment has good space, wifi was the best we had in Egypt, the beds and pillows were comfortables and we had a big fridge. In the corner there is a mini market and a pharmacy is just 100 mts away. Easy to cross to Luxor temple by Felluca and 15 min to Valley of the kings. Breakfast was traditional egyptian, spreadable cheese, fried eggs, tomato, cucumber and dates.

    We were a group of 7 people ranging from the age of 27 to 40 years old. We are pretty active group so spent very little time in the room. All day we were exploring and at night were trying local food establishments. Take that into account for our review. We loved the location, plus the staff were helpful. The room decor is basic, but gave us a feeling of being in a authentic local Egyptian establishment. The place seem to cater both to tourists and locals compared to other hotels in the area thst were only for tourists.

    The apartment was huge and nice, with a large terrasse with a view towards the nile! And the price is very low! In hindsight, I belive they could and should charge more for it. The host Taha is an exceptional nice guy, really focused on the guests well being. He even showed me the countryside with his motorbike. We opted for his offer with a personal driver, which was very nice and effective. Egyptian dinner at the hotel was fantastic. Do not think he is trying to rip you off, he is not. He is working hard for a living!

    Everything was good. The place was very nice clean and spacious. It's about 15 minutes outside the city, but the compound is situated right beside a nice market ( AL Rayah Market) and it has everything you would need to fix up a quick meal if need be. Our host was able to set us up on a hot air balloon ride and it was one of the most amazing experiences for our family here in Egypt. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We would encourage anyone to book the Sphinx Apartment for a nice little get away while in Luxor.

    The room was huge, the kitchen had everything you will need a washing machine too. The property is right on the nile so you can take the public ferry for 5 pounds across the nile. Yassar hosted me and he was wonderful, he invited me to his home and showed real Egyptian hospitality by cooking for me free of charge and handing me drinks. If you have extra time go on a tour with yassar outside of the main sites to the desert its a unique exprience that 99% of tourists who visit Luxor will not see

    I had a very good time in Pyramisa Luxor. Staffs was very helpful when we couldn’t take that noise from the Christmas event but they immediately changed our new room. Hotel is clean and beautiful view. Beside, I highly recommend a very good organisation tour guide Abdul and his number is +201019016230.     This was by far the best place I stayed at during my two weeks in Egypt. The host and owner of the place was very kind, always worried about providing us the best experience. He not only organized us a safe and customized tour to Karnak and luxor temple as he also prepared us great traditional meals with a special early breakfast in the day we moved out.     Abdul and his team are amazing hosts – I was skeptical when I saw the 9.9 rating on Booking.com but the hospitality was top-notch and the best I’ve received in Egypt. Abdul and his team (i.e. Omar, Alla) made sure that everything was taken care of – meals, transportation, tours etc. The entire experience was authentic (and in a quiet part of Luxor too!) Highly recommend – allow Abdul and his wonderful team to take care of your holiday needs.

    Steingenberger is an excellent chioce for your stay in Luxor. The vieuw on the Nile is spectacular. The hotel has plenty of facilities including a swimming pool with warm water.     I loved the location and convenience of the hotel to all the attractions on the West Bank. The facilities were extremely clean and staff accommodating. The breakfast was very good and included a basket of pita, Egyptian cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, omelette, falafel, and coffee (instant). I felt safe walking around on my own and I would absolutely stay here again.
