Benben by Dhara Hotels - Adults Only, hotel in Aswan

Boasting a bar, Benben by Dhara Hotels - Adults Only is set in Aswan. A hot spring bath and a car rental service are available for guests.

The place is in a remote location in the calm waters, facing the Philae Temple. Room feels like a highly comfortable house in a dream village. Spa facilities are amazing, I would highly recommend the Egyptian hot stamp massage of Mrs. Zainab. The staff is super kind, joyous and peaceful, Mr. Shoum from the restaurant, making my check-out breakfast box with a fresh mango juice ready in a blink of an eye, Mrs. Merna and Mr. Joseph in the front desk being very helpful, upgrading my room to a jakuzi room, solving all my requests in minutes and, Mr. Besim delivering me my necklaces (that I realized that I forgot in my bathrobe’s pocket in the airport) in a speedy way right to the airport, all unforgettable… With the elegantly natural interior and exterior design in breeze of basil Ben Ben by Dhara is an oasis for Egyptian tourism. Because the place takes place in the lower dam you need to reach there by taxi and take the hotel’s boat waiting in the dock, but it’s worth the distance. I’d highly recommend, do not hesitate.

Fenti Nubian Resort, hotel in Aswan

Located in Aswan, 17 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum, Fenti Nubian Resort provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The place is a perfect getaway away from the hustle and bustle of Aswan (and much needed). The pool is nice and the atmosphere is lovely. You can swim in the Nile too! The manager upgraded our room free of charge and provided takeaway breakfasts for us when we had to leave at 4am for a flight. Would 100% recommend if you have a few days and want to relax. Best place to stay in the area hands down.

Kendaka Nubian House, hotel in Aswan

Set 19 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum, Kendaka Nubian House offers 2-star accommodation in Aswan and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

The owner was very (very!) friendly and everyone was so kind and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was really nice too, and the location is nice and chilled by the river. This hotel though is not close to Aswan, so you will need to take boats/cars to get into Aswan and some of the nearby sights. Transport options are limited, but other than this, the place was very nice to stay at, I had a wonderful time!

I love all of it! The location is perfect, the house is just beautiful with all the nice colors and paintings and amazing views to the Nile. I stayed in a very comfortable and big room with a small balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful specially Aya and Tamer. And Tamer even speaks a bit of Spanish which is not common in Egypt. The breakfast is amazing as well as the Egyptian food options available if you want to have lunch or dinner. It is very nice to walk around the streets of the Nubian village and there is a local market very close where you can find lots of nice things.

Unlike Cairo, Aswan is much slower paced and people are much nicer. The city has several historical sites, temples, and islands. The views and food are amazing. I’m skipping Cairo on my next trip to Egypt and coming straight to Aswan and Luxor.

A very beatiful place to relax and enjoy the sun during winter. We felt very safe and happy. The local market is great it has unique and authentic goods. The philae Temple is great it has spots to take photos and great views. We enjoyed the Botonical Garden very much as it has plants from all over the world. The feluca ride is one of the best things we enjoyed but first you have to agree on the price.

Tombs of the Nobles were really neat if you can make it over to the other bank. Watch out for the camel guys there though. We got roped into $50 camel rides. Aswan was probably our least favorite stop in Egypt. Harassment by salespeople was higher here than at the Great Pyramids, and much higher than Luxor! We couldn't walk anywhere at anytime of the day without a salesperson walking with us for several blocks. And as soon as they were done, someone else would take over. Its too bad, I think the corniche could be a really pretty walk!

Aswan is pleasant pretty city on upper Nile within easy day excursion to Abu Simbel. Don't ride camel at Giza, ride one at Aswan out into the desert. Ride felucca boat around Elephantine Island. Eat at King Jamaica restaurant. Stop to see unfinished obelisk

Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I didn’t realize that the hotel was undergoing a little construction. It looked like they were upgrading their ramp. This meant we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the lobby. The property is beautiful and has a terrific view of the town and we could see the Nile from our room. The restaurant was very good- we had dinner there. BTW the construction noise never bothered us. We couldn’t hear it at all.

If you are doing the Initiatic path, Elephantine Island is so perfect. We stayed at Mango Tree (feel like exotic move stars) and Nubian Dreams (also a restaurant but we scored their top floor room and that is super fun) We also stayed at Nubian Palace, oh my gosh. Take a little private ferry and go to that place. Its so memorable. Philae temple was set up from our host at Nubian Palace (which we usually never do but she is a badass and handles it so you don't have to negotiate to and from the ferry marina) Stay on the west bank. Never the east. Its so loud and full of hustle. The west bank is like real Egypt. Lovely. Easy to start the temple path to Abu Simbel by hopping on a local large bus. Fun, cheap, easy. (Its a little more coming back but its all very cheap so be nice and accept the system) From here you can take a train, bus or private taxi to Kom Ombo and Edfu as you make your way to Luxor. (ALSO STAY ON THE WEST BANK in luxor) What a lovely quiet and profoundly spiritual adventure.

For sure the best thing was the owner. Mahmoud, is the best owner of any place I’ve ever stayed, and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and guest houses. Mahmoud saved me hundreds of dollars to get me on a cruise to Aswan, and continually helped me with everything. Just trust him, and you won’t regret it. The location of the hotel on Elephantine island was 50 metres from the ferry dock. it only costs 5 Egyptian pounds, 16 cents US, for the little ferry. Nuba Dool was quiet, clean, has a great view. Everything was fabulous.

We were the only family at the property (because of the season's end) so we had an endless conversation about the history, ancient Egypt, and the Nubian life with Seyfi. Hotel is very clean with A/C, good wifi, and a wide lobby. We felt like a guest in a village house, not a customer of them. Seyfi helped us to find a taxi to go to Luxor and called us every time to be sure we were ok. My kids liked him too much and these nice Nubian people. very happy to see you there, we believe we have a friend there.

Enjoyed a fantastic stay at a hotel with friendly staff, particularly Kareem, who fulfilled all our requests with a smile. The rooms were clean. The terrace restaurant offered affordable, fresh local cuisine and shisha. We really enjoyed it! The well-planned Abu Simbel Temple tour included an early breakfast meal box, allowing us to avoid crowds and explore leisurely. Overall, a delightful experience in Aswan thanks to the hotel's excellent service and thoughtful arrangements. Highly recommended!

This was one of our favourite hotels we stayed in while in Egypt. The staff are the real star of this hotel and go out of their way to assist with anything you might need. Our room was spacious with a large balcony overlooking the Nile. The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious. There’s a lovely pool area where you can also chill out with a book and a beer as I did! The hotel is close to the Nubian museum and a short walk from the river front in Aswan so you have the best of every world.

The location and the views of the beautiful ground surrounding the hotel the staff was exceptional! The food was great and extra special thanks to the manager for allowing us to take a dip after hours because we never got a chance to use the gorgeous pool. I will forever be grateful and thankful for how the management and staff of this hotel treated my wife and her mother. My 8 month pregnant wife and her mother fled gun fire on a 25+ hour bus ride from Khartoum to aswan . They were held at the border for several hours . The hotel pushed our dates and checked them in late . They were very hospitable. I recommend this hotel for families, their attention to details for your needs is very professional.
