It has an interesting history, but to be honest there is not...
It has an interesting history, but to be honest there is not a lot to do or see in the city other than the derelict costal forts, post war rebuild is mostly industrial/commercial so there is very little "old town" left, I went off-season so most tourist sights were closed. I suspect in tourist season my view of the town would improve. There is a lot of potential in the north part with military history and a lot of grand buildings that have been left to ruin or ruined by soviet style concrete blocks. Needs sympathetic rejuvenation. Worth a visit but not a prolonged stay.

Liepaja is a "hidden gem" of Latvia! It has a wonderful, relaxed vibe. Food everywhere was delicious and fresh. The people seemed much friendlier than Riga. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect spot to spend a few days. There are also plenty of nature excursions to do in the area.VickieLatvia - 10Scored 10

My favourite places: market, beach, before beach is excellent walking parks, good restaurants and a lot more things to do. We didn't enjoy the roadworks. A lot roads are closed, a lot traffic jams. We recommend to visit Liepaja City!!!

I liked the free spirit of the inhabitants which contributed essentially to the development of the city today. I love the warmth in the eyes of the people I've interacted with and those I've met on the street and crossed our eyes. I like the mix of cultures living together. I love the contrast between old and new that can be seen in the constructions. I like that families have at least 2 children each, they are beautiful people in face and soul!MihaelaRomania

The room was big with comfy beds and huge bathroom. We did enjoy the stay a lot. Location is in the city center. In short a place to be highly recommended to stay in while being in Liepaja. Some people say that breakfast should be more diverse but I do not agree. You can have a decent and tasty breakfast with a lot of options. Friendly staff and a parking place is like 2 min walking distance.KarolPoland

In the apartment you can find almost everything you need plus some extras which you dont need yo take from home. There is very long but but narrow balcony where you can spend your evenimg with glass of wine. Neighbourhood really calm. Parking available in front of the building. Host take care a lot to have good connection before travel and during check-in and out. I highly recomend this appartment for stay in Liepaja.

The owners have provided the common areas with a lot of helpful instructions. The design and setting of the hotel has a modern, innovative approach. The room was of two parts, compact sleeping area and small anteroom with extra chest of drawers, a bed, a table with 2 chairs and TV set. We did not meet staff, as it's self check-in hotel, but I spoke with them over the phone and they were quite friendly.
