The location is convenient for those traveling by train. This was a place to stay before catching a train the next day. It fit the need and I would say it was a good choice.

Great location facing the beautiful beach. Basic rooms but excellent value for money, clean and very convenient. No breakfast option but close to bars for food ( Pirates bar for breakfast 200 metres down the beach ). Very friendly staff and excellent shaded parking spot. No complaints at all for the value!

A little bit disappointed to be misled on the name of the Hotel - its nothing to do with the real "Travelodge" chain, and the rooms are no where near the Travelodge standard. It carries the sign outside, but has a different name in the reception area.
If you put that aside, you are getting a renovated older hotel in a very quiet part of the City. The rooms were clean, and the shower & bedding quite acceptable. There is a huge area for parking outside and its relatively safe being as access is through a "tunnel" into what can be described as a courtyard.
Check-in was a fraught affair as there was nobody on reception ... I called the number displayed, and didn't understand a word, so ended up walking behind the counter and taking a key for the closest room, which I presume the owner was trying to tell me from my poor understanding of his Thai. He did turn up 5 min later and seem OK with my actions, sort of !
Location is poor, with nothing at all in the area, with nearest bars/restaurant being a good 2-3 km away, the other side of the railway tracks.

Our stay in Chumphon was exactly as we anticipated, our reason for visiting was to stay at fisherman’s home stay, which was superb, we stayed an extra night in the town to catch an early morning train to Trang, this allowed us to witness the people of Chumphon setting up the food markets at 03.00 in the morning, brilliant.

Great place!
Great place! Great street food night market and shopping centres. We went to De Rust pub for dinner and watched a band one night. We really enjoyed our short time in Chumphon. Definitely make the trip to the viewpoint around 15mins outside of Chumphon, Definitely worth visiting!

Spacious bedroom and big bed. Small outdated bathroom with curtain shower in bath tub. Not much waterpressure.
Breakfast was poor, esp
eccially for foreigners. No cheese, or ham. Dirty jams and peanut butter with a spoon dug in was not apealing. Croisants and cappuccino was ok though.

Only there overnight with my wife and three year old grandson. Yet I had to book two rooms because they couldn't or wouldn't cater for the child.
No one in the reception until 08.00 am, the main gate was locked and although we had planned an early start (driving to Phuket) we had to wait for the receptionist to arrive.
The property cant be described has a hotel, two rows of rooms Nd the location is poor.
There will not be another visit and I would certainly not recommend to your readers.

There are some lovely beaches here.
People are not that used to seeing western tourists, very little English spoken. Though those that do speak English are keen to practice.
Restaurants were limited as were bars (due to covid).
Ate in a local restaurant. Friendly ladies. Food all came out at different times (rice first, before the meat/fish dishes).
Quite dark around the streets at night. We felt safe, but needed a torch.

I went to Chumphon for a city trip (rather than islands and snorkling which the city is famous for). The overall experience is good. There are not so many places for you to visit in the Chumphon city and vicinity area. But there are many adventurous places around the province (which require driving time up to 2 hrs in some places). Worth to visit anyway :D
Location is beachfront. We chose the larger room and it did not disappoint. Large bed, comfortable, heaps of space for our bags, a gorgeous bathroom with amenities. Loved the on-site art gallery, quirky! The on-site Italian restaurant was amazing. Blues feel with live music on the Sunday we stayed. We stayed several days and I could stay longer.
The staff are very attentive. Reseved parking for staying guest, awesome. Easy walk to other beachside eateries and easy drive to tourist sites in Chumphon.
Location is great, it's a ten minute walk from the train station, the night market sets up either at the train station or on the same road as the hotel, so food is readily available. The rooms are big, have fridges, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and great water pressure. Breakfast is basic- coffee, tea, biscuits, and rice porridge, which is a nice plus! And the staff is very pleasant!
Absolutely a 12/10 stay.
I didn't want to leave, I tried to extend my stay but they were fully booked.
Tang and Khom are amazing. Helped me out so much for my onwards trip.
The drip coffee is amazing, locally grown and they roast it on site out the back and grind it fresh daily!
Honestly, the place is the dream. I'd have happily spent the rest of my thailand trip here.
In a quiet neighbourhood, close to a beautiful river. Close enough to great restaurants and down town, although you will need a motorbike or bicycle. Host will help you rent a motorbike, so no problem. Great location from which to explore Chumphon province. Nice little cafe with craft beers on site & owner will help you with transport. Speaks fluent English, too.
This hotel is exceptional. Easy checkin, large rooms with super comfortable beds , the best hot water showers in Thailand, and great breakfast. There is a very nice restaurant at the hotel and a nice pool. To top it all off is the wonderful staff. I live in and have travelled Thailand extensively and this hotel is as good as any I have stayed in. Just wonderful.
The bar at the at night hotel was too much fun the bar owner is now a good friend as he was so helpful polite and welcoming. He had some girls to drink with me and they where alot of fun. I will come back for sure. The room was clean and check in very easy and breakfast and coffee for nothing and they helped with my travel from here onwards
Very friendly staff, very calm and silent location, it’s perfect to get a good night of rest before taking the ferry to the islands. There is also a nice little restaurant with affordable prices right across the street. I’ve had the Thai Stir Fried Tofu + Rice and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Thailand (also quite spicy).
For just one night, while waiting for the ferry to the island, the hotel served its purpose well. The staff kindly arranged a bus to the pier for me. Additionally, I received a mini-map highlighting a few nearby attractions—I would have loved to stay longer to explore them further.
It was a very nice experience! I can only recommend here to come! The room had everything we needed for our stay. The family is very warm and welcoming, one of our best stays in Thailand! The terrace is super relaxing to just hang out for hours.
Right in front of Thung Wua Laen Beach, so nice to wake up early and see the sunrise!
Spacious and very quiet room.
Very nice owner and staff, good food at dinner, lucky to enjoy the blues band on Wed night!
Interesting art gallery on site.
Perfect location . Breakfast was excellent the staff were very friendly and helpful very professional . The hotel has lots of very nice extras it’s well thought out . Very clean everywhere and the swimming pool just made it extra special .
Large well maintained hotel, good location, 2 free glass bottle waters per day, study desk, good mattress, window screens, fan, easy check-in, late check-in
The location is very conveniently close to the main route #4. For someone on the way to North or South Thailand it is very recommended for 1 night stop over
