Sapa is a well known tourist destination. The Cable Car to Fansipan was really awesome. The Cable Cars are a bit expensive for Vietnam standards, but it's completely understandable considering the engineering used to build it. They are still much cheaper than ones I've been on other places in the world(Hong Kong, Gatlinburg USA, others).
The Glass Elevator/Bridge about 30 minutes drive from the city was an amazing experience and highly recommended.
Around the Sapa station area, we tried to sit and relax from walking around all day. Some street sellers dressed in ethnic outfits stood right next to us even after we said no several times. Even after we bought something, 2 more of them showed up and wanted us to buy more. After 10 minutes we had to leave, because we couldn't relax due to their aggressive selling.

Fansipan summit is a breath taking view from suspension...
Fansipan summit is a breath taking view from suspension cable cab. Buy the tickets one way to the summit, then walking down to visit all the pagodas. Bring along a warm coat, ears cover because the summit weather is unpredictable. The day we visited Fansipan, lowland temperature was 19 degree Celsius with clear sky and fully sunny, by the time we reached the summit around 11am. the temperature was dropped down to 2 degree Celsius with high wind and partial cloudy. Most Sapa villages have unpaved trail, be sure to purchase knee high waterproof boots at the Sapa main market if you plan to visit those villages during rainy season. Bring small Vietnamese currency such as 1000VND or 2000VND if you want to give out to the little kids beggar or for a chance to take a picture with them

Sapa is a bit overhyped thanks to Social Media.
Sapa is a bit overhyped thanks to Social Media. I would stay 4 days in total. Two for hiking, once north, once south (or taking motorbike tours), one for a traditional ethnic workshop like batik or embroidery and one to go up Fansipan, the highest mountain in Indochina.
Sapa is a small city that has become increasingly touristic and you will encounter several places that operate with fake google ratings.

We used Trekking Tour Sapa for some walking trips and they were fantastic.
Mount Fansipane is worth a visit.
Overall the town itself is very touristy and Street vendors are plentiful.

It was disappointed to know that the cable to Fanispan...
It was disappointed to know that the cable to Fanispan mountain was closed for maintenance only 2 days before our arrival. We had no choice but to proceed to Sa Pa. Nevertheless, we had a good time in Sa Pa as we enjoyed the weather, though a little wet as it was raining most of the time.
Upon arrival we got a free upgrade to the Honey Moon suite. The room was spacious and very clean, with all the comforts needed. The staff is really helpfull when you want to do a trekking tour or can help you with ordering a taxi for a fixed fee which drives you around the surroundings. Laundry is cheap and they have it ready in the beginning of the next morning, even if you drop it off in the evening. One of the best hotels we visited in Vietnam, especially due to the care of the staff!
The lady and gentleman that work at the front desk are exceptional. So incredibly kind and considerate but not overbearing. The room is located well, very clean, a good size and well apointed for a lovely stay. The air conditioner worked well but I loved that I also had a window i could open. Breakfast was also great. The massages they offer on the ground floor are also verry good.
I was in vietnam for almost 2 months and this was my favourite hotel.
Very comfortable homestay, centrally located in Sapa Town with the most lovely and helpful staff. They allowed me to check in at 2am, and arranged my night bus to Hanoi at the best possible price including a shuttle to the bus station.
The hotel itself is very new, meaning all facilities are updated and modern. Comfortable beds, complimentary toiletries and they will soon be offering breakfast. Great views from the balcony and rooftop as well!
Everything about this hotel was just perfect. Difficult to tear yourself away from laying in bed and admiring the view.
As we travelled via overnight train from Sapa, we were looking for an early check in and late check out and they organised this for us with no issue which was soo appreciated. They did this with no extra cost and even gave us a free breakfast on arrival.
Definately one of our top hotels on our Vietnam travels.
The hotel staff helped was really kind. They gave us a warm welcome with some fresh hot towels and tea. They also helped us with booking our 2 day trekking tour (with local homestay). Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night in the hotel because our journey trough Vietnam continued.
The best thing was that after our trekking we could get a room to shower. That was FREE OF CHARGE! :) eventough we didn't stay in the hotel longer.
I was stunned by the friendliness and hospitality of the staff (who are family members of the owners). This is actually a 4-star hotel with the spirit of a hostel which was super helpful in showing you anything you need for an off-track itinerary in Sapa. Everything in this hostel is well-decorated and clean. Highly recommended and definitely come back here for staying if I go back to Sapa the second time. Thank you, guys!
Sala Soleil Hotel boasts a modern and clean space for you to stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and luxurious retreat. The restaurant at 8th floor is also well-maintained and it boasts the best view of Sapa mountain range.
The staff also went above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a memorable and enjoyable stay.
Located at the center of the city it is Good value for the money… hotel staff is very helpful and cheerful….. we got our Tracking mountain done through the hotel which came out be more economical than if we had done it separately……rooms are quite comfortable and spacious …… highly recommend to indulge in their spa services …..we enjoyed our stay at Moc homestay Sapa
Staff was very helpful all the time. This place was actually only place in Vietnam where nobody was trying to scam or overcharge you. (This was usually a problem and very annoying in vietnam). But here we were able to trust the staff in every aspect. The view was amazing from the hotel room. And my boyfriend proposed me in the room <3
The breakfast was bad ,we only got a buffet breakfast if Vietnamese people were staying if not choice was very little. The room was lovely and cosy but had to move from 1st one because we booked a mountain view and all we where looking at was the hotel reception and restaurant why they put us there god knows at the hotel was empty
It was worthy of a 4-star hotel, even to European standards, I would say. Location, service, rooms, cleanness, everything great 👍
The facility is also pretty modern, which is nice. You got a very decent bathroom in the rooms, and the breakfast caters to every taste. Also, the best spa I visited in Vietnam is so far.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, went above and beyond by organising an early check in post night bus. The entire hotel smelt incredible, I don’t know how but even the lifts smelt of cinnamon and spices. The bed was the most comfortable we have had in Vietnam and the view was amazing!
My partner and I had an unforgettable romantic retreat at En Hotel Sapa. The intimate setting, coupled with the stunning scenery, created the perfect ambiance for a romantic getaway. The staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was special, and we left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Nicest mid-range hotel we’ve been to in Vietnam! Though a short distance away from the city centre, Sa Pa’s fairly small and you’re away from all the noise. Bed was really comfortable, and they had a fantastic toilet. You know a hotel cares when they provide 4-ply paper.
The hotel rooms are modern and clean. the staff were very friendly. The area is very remote perfect to see how life is really like in northern vietnam, close to Bamboo trail, several local restaurant in the town and only a 250k taxi to Sa Pa town when needed.
Quan is so so so kind and caring!! He’s the owner of the hotel and we love him so much! He’s like a big brother to us, he guided us on the best places, taught us how to brew Vietnamese coffee, gave us food, etc. He made our trip extra special! 💖
The room was very nice (sadly, despite being on 3rd floor, no view)
For us, the location was perfect. The hotel is located just off a main road, but down a bunch of stairs, but it guarantees a calm night, as Sapa is pretty festive in the evening.
It was extremely comfortable and the staff was absolutely amazing - especially Autumn made our stay so welcoming. Hands down the best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam so far.
The hotel is beautiful and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. In room dining (Vietnamese food) was tasty and good value for money. Very quick laundry service.
