FAQs about hotels in Cádiz

Spain’s Oldest Jewel

Cádiz might be a small strip of land, but being the oldest inhabited city in Spain, it means that it’s covered with monuments from different ages and cultures. Beautiful sandy beaches kissed by crystalline waters are also part of its magic, while you won’t be able to forget that you’re in Andalusia, land of music and passion.

Founded by Phoenicians, it had Greek, Roman, Arab and Visigoth influence, and the Age of Discoveries reclaimed its fame as port city. It became a cosmopolitan centre of commerce, enriching a heritage still visible in its historic centre. Don’t miss its narrow streets, colourful squares, the Roman theatre, and the imposing and eclectic Cathedral. Some of the most unique hotels in Cádiz are located in the Old Town.

The newer districts include wide avenues and contemporary buildings. These are the areas of Cádiz with a larger offering of modern hotels on the beach and apartments for rent. Restaurants and cafés serving great local, Andalusian and Spanish specialities are also easy to find.

The railway stations of Estadio, Segunda Aguada, and Central link the city with the rest of the country, while the nearby Jerez Airport is 47 km away. If thinking of visiting southern Spain, check out the Cádiz accommodation deals on Booking.com!

    Second trip to Cadiz.

Second trip to Cadiz. I liked it even better the second time. It's a lovely city to just wander in. Just enough attractions to keep one busy but not enough that you are exhausted trying to see everything. Parks are lovely, harbour is a great area to walk in, and the city streets are fascinating. Great food everywhere we went.

We loved the Convento Hotel as it was centrally located and made visiting attractions, restaurants and beaches very easy for us. The atmosphere in the city on Thursday 11th. of April was electric with the arrival of 3 cruise ships . We met some of the said participants who were only too willing to share their experiences. This made our road trip to Cadiz even more memorable, We enjoyed eating at La Chanca restaurant right beside the hotel so much, we went back a second night. Cadiz is well worth a visit.

There is not much to do or see in Cadiz, but if you're the kind of traveler that likes strolling down the street and find hidden gems, this is the place for you! It has a lovely atmosphere, spontaneous flamenco singing (closer to the flamenco school), nice beaches and super friendly people. you can totally skip the museum, and if you go to the cathedral, don't forget to climb up the tower. The view is fantastic! Also, if you're a vegetarian, better bring some food from home.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city and within walking distance to absolutely everything. The bathroom has an amazing shower and the facility is extremely comfortable and nice. It is like a chic airbnb inside a beautiful building. There might be a little bit of noise from the street, but once you close the window you can't hear anything. I loved the fact that we could enter the building and the room with a password, avoiding the whole check in/key situation. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Cadiz.

Everything about this apartment is just perfect. It is very clear that the owner and the manager take care of the property and guest’s needs. I have stayed in hundreds of apartments along my long road around the world and usually I use apartments. It is hard to get everything you need to be comfortable, here nothing was missing. Thanks Victor for providing me and my family a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful city of Cadiz.

Location right on the beach. Beautifully built hotel. Dining was great, nice room good food. Very clever design at every turn. Button for Do not Disturb and room cleaning lights up outside of your door. Had trouble getting the A/C to work, found out it is connected to the patio door which I had left 1/2;inch open after looking at the view. Great idea though to save energy.

This hotel is clean and you can smell it. We were ovewhelmed with a smell of chlorine when we entered the lobby. After having visited many charming places throughout Andalusia, we found the ambiance of this place to be quite sterile and cold. However, it was perfectly located in the heart of the old town. Walkable to all sights.
