Ida Inés sits in the Valle del Golfo, on the north-east side of El Hierro, in the Canary Islands.

Brilliant location for exploring the island. Very comfy room with fabulous views and it was easy to check in using the lock box. Having a fridge in the room was a real help.
The Pension El Guanche features free WiFi in all rooms, and it is located in Frontera, on the island of El Hierro. This guest house is accessible by stairs only it offers a restaurant and bar on site....
Situated in Frontera, only 1 km from the town centre and a 7-minute drive from the beach, Apartamentos la Palmera features a shared outdoor pool with sun loungers.

Excellent location, a short walk to everything, town, buses, cafes, restaurants. The view from the bedroom over the sea was beautiful to wake up to. The owner was very open to helping and there was great communication over WhatsApp though no English spoken it wasn't a problem over text and broken Spanish (mine!).
Situated in Frontera and only 10 km from Playa del Verodal, La Higuera features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The Views are fantastic, on one side you have the Cliff to the inner side of the island, and to the other a free view over the valley with sea views. I rented the apartment for the view and it did not let down in any way. Internet and mobile connectivity is fantastic, I had a little bit of work to do without any issues at all (video calls included).
Offering a garden and mountain view, El Lagar is set in Frontera, 10 km from Playa del Verodal and 26 km from Faro de Orchilla.

Amazing location with equally stunning views but still within a short distance of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Centrally located within easy reach of the rest of the island. Car essential. A unique two hundred year beautifully restored rural house. Can highly recommend.
Situated in Frontera and only 11 km from Playa del Verodal, CasaMamáClorinda Frontera El Hierro Islas Canarias features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The town was close by and had all the amenities you could hope for. The restaurants were all varied and excellent value. Frontera itself was centrally located, the ideal place to explore the readt of the island. The roads are excellent and mostly easy to drive with the exception of a mountain pass to the south of the island which was pretty hair raising but good fun if care taken.

La Frontera is a lively, small town that offers all for the daily needs. Good location to experience the island of El Hierro.
Many small restaurants, bars and small supermarkets and sports shops.
In comparison, Valverde, despite capital, seems deserted and kind of depressing. La Restinga is too far away from anything else on the island.
My recommendation therefore is clearly the area of La Frontera.

A beautifull Island, very different than all other Canary Islands. Its Nature is very well preserved, its under UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, its fossil free, has lots of very well marked hiking ways allover the island, beautifull Natural pools on the coasts, some few black sand beaches, the highlands / mountain regions are very green with old Canary Pine trees and Laurel trees, a lot of endemic plants, the coasts are more vulcanic, some very barren, the views from all the Miradors are stunning. you feel far away from everything, clean air, very clear sea, wind, waves, sunshine, cooling climate in the mountains, warm on the coasts...all this you can experience on this small island.

Very quiet, but still enough local amenities, even on a Sunday. Within easy reach of some of the best scenery and walking I have ever experienced! Great bar called Canary Burger, right on Tigaday Plaza, open all hours. Still fairly easy to get to by bus, and enough great locations and trails to visit by bus.
The house was spacious and comfortable, with all the facilities one could need. The location was peaceful, with a couple of restaurants very close and the facilities of La Frontera just a short distance away. There were superb views in all directions from the terrace and the balcony. It was easy to head off and explore other parts of beautiful El Hierro, either by car, or by bus from La Frontera.
All. I liked everything, the room, the restaurant, the people who attend, the location is amazing, the sound of the sea is incredibly relaxing. In general, it is difficult for me to sleep in hotels but there I slept in the most comfortable way and with the best background music (the sound of the waves breaking against the cliff).
The view of the mountains where stunning and hotel was cozy, with your own entrance and chairs and tables to
sit on outside in the common area, even some sun beds. The staff was kind and often available. Great air condition and good beds. Close to the bus stop and lots of parking spots. I will be back.
The accommodation is located very close to the centre of Frontera where you can find some bars and restaurants. From Frontera it's ideal to explore the island.
The host was very helpful. There was a free parking right in front of the apartment.
Very comfortable place in area of Frontera, Room have small tv, access to wifi, clean towels and soap and schampoo in the bathroom, very comfortable stay and super contact with the owner by whatsapp.
El Sitio has a prime location in the valley - both close to the coast and the mountains/hiking trails, as well as the Frontera town. Various classes and services are offered throughout the week.
Nice room in the center of Frontera for a great price, 2 minutes walking to 3 supermarkets and close to the guagua bus stops for Valverde and Sabinosa where lots of amazing hiking trails start
Very quiet location, but within walking distance to La Frontera. Great equipped. Very spacious.
We had an amazing time there. I highly recommend this accommodation!!
This edgy hotel is quite unique. Both the building and the hotel rooms. You have a awesome view of the rocky coastline.
We enjoyed the tasteful breakfast.
