Amazing breakfast with high quality food and very nice staff. The pool area was lovely as well. One of the pools was heated so we enjoyed that one, while the others were too cold (but probably it was due to the windy weather and +20 degrees outside).
We had half board, and the a la carte dinner at both restaurants was very nice.
The location is a bit off the Playa Blanca centre, but takes only 12min walking to get to the promenade with all the restaurants and stores, so it’s super convenient.
Hope to come back again!

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.
There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.
A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.
Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.

Great place, long promenade along the coast.
Great place, long promenade along the coast. Montana Roja is a good walk/climb and great views. Good choice of restaurants in the main town. Bus to and from the airport (161) is cheap and frequent, takes about 1 hour. Bodega Colonial, pork cheek!!, Sergio Aubergine dish was lovely, great restaurants in PB central. Beaches are clean 😁

Beautiful town, very clean, locals very friendly and great with kids. Restaurants are fantastic and great choice, also very reasonably price and great quality in most. Alcohol is much cheaper too. There’s lots of beaches to choose which are all sandy and child friendly too as they are shallow and calm, apart from dorada beach which gets waves now and then from the bigger boats coming in. Most kids like that though as they find it fun. The marina is lovely and lots of restaurant’s but I personally preferred the restaurant’s on the front near the beaches as I found the food better and not as expensive.

Playa Blanca is a lovely place with great restaurants and beaches. Perfect for families as it's busy enough without being too crowded. We stayed just 10 minutes walk from Rubicon Marina where there are some lovely restaurants such as Lani's which has live music and is right on the water. If you want a table right at the waters edge at a specific restaurant, I'd suggest booking but if inside is your preference, then most take walk-ins depending on the time you head out for dinner.

We liked the marina area for eating out and walks.
We liked the marina area for eating out and walks. We ate at some good restaurants in various parts of Playa Blanca, we enjoyed the Casa Rosa and went there twice. Excellent fish and good service.
It was easy to walk all around the resort, we didn’t have a car but everything was nearby, good supermarkets, shops, restaurants.

The walk along the shoreline into Playa Blanca from our hotel near the lighthouse to the marina was very pleasant. Although most nights we ate in the hotel, we also ate in an Italian on Calle Irlande near the lighthouse. It was called Gustos and I would highly recommend it - the food was exceptional and the service and decor was lovely and you must book as it was also very popular. We also ate in another Italian called Avenida 55 which was much more simple in decor but the food was delicious and great value for money.
Taxis were plentiful and very reasonable.
Lovely apartment within the Hotel Flamingo complex, very clean, had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay, beautiful view from the balcony and easy access to all that Playa Blanca had to offer. Maria the host was wonderful, gave excellent information on places to eat etc and was easily contactable if needed.
The apartment was very close to the hotel play pools which could be a little noisy during the day but this really didn’t detract from a lovely stay.
The territory of hotel is very beautiful. Room is clean. Small kitchenette has everything for cooking. Bathroom has hair dryer, big bottles of shampoo and body wash. We had all inclusive - food was good, but simple, nothing really special. Stuff are very nice and friendly. Swimming pools are very clean. Hotel has beach shuttle few times per day. It is really very handy. Overall hotel is really good for family holidays or senior holidays. Highly recommend it!
Just back from a week here and we had a lovely time. Spotless and spacious. Private pool was great. The villa is 10 minutes to the supermarket .....15 minutes to Lani's restaurant at the Rubicon marina where you can get a really nice breakfast/lunch.....what ever you fancy...lots of choices. Another 15 minutes and you are in the center of Playa Blanca. You can get a taxi from the villa into Playa Blanca for €3.50 and there are plenty of them.
We had a wonderful stay at THB Tropical Island! The property was so well maintained and spotless. Our apartment was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Handy 15 minute walk into Playa Blanca. Highly recommend staying here, looking forward to our next visit!
Rooms were clean & modern and hotel was in a good location close to the beach and half way between Marina Rubicón and playa Blanca strip. Pools were well maintained & always clean. Plenty of parking outside which was handy having a hire car. Beds were comfortable but lacking pillows.
Located on the quiet side of Playa Blanca, it’s heavenly silent, with beautiful views over the sea towards Fuerterventura. The hotel is very clean, the food was great, the service impeccable. A walk up the volcano is a must, as is the early morning run towards the light house.
Room very comfortable. Location excellent in playa Blanca. Breakfast very good. Dinner a bit of a mixed bag but overall probably very good. The hotel facilities (pools) are first class. My second visit, this was better than 3 years ago.
The location was absolutely fantastic for us. Amazing walks to the papagayo beaches everyday. More quiet residential area which we loved. Lovely apartment with bbq! Great and easy communication with the host. 10 out of 10
Excellent location in the centre of Playa Blanca. A wide shaded balcony with a beautiful view of the sea. Well-appointed kitchen and bathroom. Helpful, easy-to-contact owner. I unhesitatingly recommend this.
Hotel Volcan is in an excellent location alongside the Rubicon Marina and an enjoyable coastal walk from Playa Blanca . Excellent breakfast, good pools and varied evening entertainment.
located in a quiet residential area. Near to supermarket and the Marina Rubicon with shops, bars, restaurant's. Felix the owner could not do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable.
Location is lovely just front of the see, with lot of green and trees. Really nice swimming pool and faciliites.
Good to have a lot of space for parking.
Hotel and room very clean.
The central location in Playa Blanca was perfect for us. I was rehabilitating my foot after recent surgery so having all amenities close by was very satisfactory for us.
Close to beach, ocean view balcony, food and drink in the restaurant in quality and variety. Good family resort at a reasonable price. (we chose All inclusive)
