Tarifa has one of the best beaches I've been to. Large, with fine sand, clean and easy entry into the water. Due to the winds, the area is good for water sports (kite surfing, etc), not so much for swimming, due to the waves. Good position to watch the sun set into the sea.
Great place to chill at a bar nearby the beach, eat ice cream, have dinner.
Tarifa is also very close to Morocco, a short ferry ride away from Tangier. Highly recommend the trip if you have the opportunity.

Great little town, the beach full of kite surfers when we arrived & was a sight to see. Very sweet small old town, clean, cute shops, excellent eateries including Powerhouse bakery & dinner at Axta- superb! Very walkable, views for sunset over the sea, Morocco in the distance. Low key in feb & most enjoyable.

Windy old, small city on the south coast with several ferries each day to Tangier, Morocco. Interesting Old Town with narrow, crooked pedestrian streets. good place for wind surfing, beaches, and dolphin sighting.

Tarifa is a very unique place with a super relaxed and good vibe. If you want to explore the coast line it's a great base, easy to park cars outside the old town walls. There are various dunes and historic sites to visit within 1 hour of the city as well as view points from various locations with unbeatable views of the coastline and seeing Morocco which is pretty special. For eating, there is an amazing Italian Restaurant highly recommended called La Trattoria. I am Italian and the pasta was very good quality for Spain. There are also lovely restaurants beyond the port along the beach and in the area just outside the old town walls towards this direction. It is easy to walk around the city and there is plenty of shopping in boutique shops as well as surfer/sports shops. Huge amount of water sports activities on offer too.

Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch.
Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch. Pretty shops and a good walking town, cool places along the beach for a drink or to eat. Ferry terminal in the town. Lots of bars and restaurants. The town has a cool beachy vibe.
The apartments have a great location: close to the beach, to the supermarket, to the old town, to everything. In front of the apartments 1 time a week operates the market with the most delicious olives. Parking is very limited everywhere in Tarifa, so during high season it's hard to find a place. But you will find it somewhere around. There is a washing machine and a patio for drying equipment. Surfers and kitesurfers will appreciate it;) The key box is very important. We always got home if we came back at different times)
The apartment is in a great location - super central and easy walk to old town in the evening to get dinner and drinks. The apartment was clean and decorated to a high standard throughout and Beatriz was on hand if we had any questions. The pool on the roof is just a little plunge pool so in the summer if its busy might be a bit small but we went in April and it was 'cold' by spanish standard so we had it to ourselves whenever we had a quick dip.
Barry is an exceptional host, very helpful and super communication. Lots of recommendations of where to eat (try Ola Ola for cheap and great food) and visit. The accommodation is charming, beautifully decorated and in a perfect location for the old town and seafront. The roof terrace is great too, a great outside space to chill. We loved Tarifa and really hope to return one day. Of course when we do, we will definitely be staying at Darcilla.
The host Eduardo was amazing. Very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Even offered to drive me out of town to pick up my rental car!! The place is new, bright, spacious, super clean and comfortable. It is 10 minutes from anywhere you would want to go and 5 minutes from the beach. Beds were comfortable.
I would rate this a 12/10 if I could.
Thank you Eduardo. You made our Tarifa stay special!
The apartment is small, but perfect for what we needed to explore Tarifa. It was decorated beautifully and we loved the Moroccan style. It is located in a building with three other units, so the rooftop is shared. It had every facility we needed and was spotlessly clean. The location is right in the center of the old town making it a perfect base.
Location was excellent. Just a few blocks from the entrance to the old town. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We found a parking spot right in front of the building. We were able to walk to the ferry in under 10 minutes.
The host was great, apartment was very clean.
I would definitely stay there again.
This is the old town of Tarifa and it cannot be an ordinary hotel - it has a character. The kitchen is well equipped, and very clean. Air-conditioning is working fine. The staff is welcoming and very kind. No noise from the street but due to limited soundproofing you hear your neighbors who should be quiet after 22.00.
Loved this hotel. Right on the beach. We were here in November, so the kite surfing activity was limited, but you could not beat the views. The staff was incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed our breakfast while watching people and horses walking by the beach
This place is nicely located in the old town next to the church of St.Mateo. It is a separate locked unit with the small bedroom and spacious bathroom. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Overall, it is a simple but functional unit.
Fabulous apartment in a very convenient location in the old town right by the Port (which is where we parked the car). I would recommend this property and we will definitely be booking again for another visit to Tarifa.
Great vibe, everyone was super chill and very family oriented. Very generous, communal style main house and kitchen. Awesome location from the beach and close to old town Tarifa.
The bed comfort. The bedding. How sauna shower. Location to the beach & downtown TARIFA. The restaurant which opens at 8 when everything else is closed out in town.
The location is perfect, very close to the beach and the old town. As a bonus you can enjoy the sunsets on the rooftop, would book this apartment anytime again :)
