Dar Es Salam, hotel in Skoura

This hotel is located 5 minutes from the village of Skoura and 35 minutes from the airport of Ouarzazate. It offers an outdoor swimming pool and free parking.

We stayed for 1 night en route back from the Sahara. Adequate for 1 night, but not the most comfortable or cleanest place we've stayed. The Kasbah and the grounds are very nice. Staying at a Kasbah was a great experience, but it was lacking a bit of refinement and just a little too rustic for us. The evening meal we had was absolutely delicious, the breakfast was plentiful and the staff were lovely.

Sawadi Ecolodge, hotel in Skoura

This Eco-friendly riad is located in the oasis of Skoura, on a 4-hectare farm. Set between the desert and the Atlas Mountains, it offers air-conditioned rooms, a sea water outdoor pool and a hammam.

Beautiful and chilling resort which is very kid friendly. We spent a lot of time in the swimming pool. The farm visit was great, plenty of fruit trees to see and kids can ride pony, feed donkeys, play with rabbits and other farm animals which was a great half day out. There are also hamam, massage and facial. We tried all and these are very relaxing. The initial exfoliation part for the facial is a bit rough, but the final outcome was great resulting in very smooth skin. Small children playground and also some ball games are available too. Plenty of apricots rippen in the trees during our visit in late May. Very tasty and can pick and eat any time. Food is delicious. Staff is very friendly, especially Kader, Majid and Aziiza.

Eco-Ferme Tamalait Skoura, hotel in Skoura

Boasting mountain views, Eco-Ferme Tamalait Skoura offers accommodation with patio, around 2.6 km from Kasbah Amridil.

I travelled here with my wife and two boys (9 and 11 years). Arriving here is an adventure on a maze of dirt tracks lined by humble dwellings. Tamalit Eco Farm is a working family farm run by two humble brothers Mohammed and Icham. Moroccans are known for their hospitality but these two will exceed your expectations! We took a tour around the palm groves with Mohammed who has a wealth of knowledge to share on the flora and fauna. He knows everyone. His views and morals are refreshing to hear, and we very much enjoyed sharing our views with him. Icham will explode your bellies with some tasty traditional food. He is a trained chef – and is extremely good at it! Both worked very hard to make our stay pleasant. They even arranged a special cake and live music as a surprise for my wife’s 40th birthday! We danced with them like they were old friends reunited. Thank you both SO much, we will see you again next year – inshallah!

    Very accommodating host.

Very accommodating host. The only issue was the mattress, which was changed as soon as it was brought to the host's notice. Meals were prepared by the lady of the house. Breakfast was included, evening meal was optional. Wifi was excellent. The hosts own palm and pomegranate orchards locally, and offered tours within his family's ownership and around the vast & historic Skoura oasis, with its many and varied casbahs. There is a range of places to eat in Skoura, an interesting street market and good banking.

This was a bird-watching holiday and we chose Skoura because it was accessible to known birding sites to the west and the east. However, we discovered that Skoura, and Sidi Flah a few miles to the south, are brilliant birding and walking locations in their own right.

Scenic and interesting, with nice side trips to a gorge and a casbah. But in a first trip to Morocco where we wanted to see Fez, Marrakech & the desert, there wasn't much time to squeeze in more at Skoura.

1- The food: we had the best dinner of our Morocco trip in the Sawadi Lodge. Everything was delicious, including the meal itself, desert, tea, coffee and drinks. The service was top notch- we even took a pic of our waiter Mansour. He is something else. 2- The service: not only during dinner- the host and the staff were on a mission to make sure that every minute was a joy. 3- Rooms: comfortable, pretty, authentic. The hotel grounds have character. There is an appealing swimming pool that we didn't use because of the season.

Ahmed, wife Fatima, children Younessef and Sara and his mother were so welcoming. Ahmed met as in town and led us to his historic home in the middle of the oasis. Fatima cooked a great supper for us with less than one hour's notice and also provided a big breakfast with home made crepe and bread. The guest house was huge, the bedroom warm with lots of hot water and the bed linen was very comfortable. This is a VERY special place that Ahmed has opened close to the Dar Ahlam hotel.

Great place to visit. It was above our expectations. The location looks very remote but is actually worth staying for a few nights. You can go out for a hiking, running, or 4x4 adventure on the other side of the Dades river. The food at the place is exceptional. Madame Najante prepares a great dinner and breakfast. Mohamed is a friendly manager who helps with any questions and makes guests enjoy vacations. Unexpectedly that was the best stay during our 13 days trip in Morocco.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! Mohamed was so welcoming and friendly and instantly charmed our 3 year old son. The food was incredible; we had breakfast, dinner, and a packed lunch every day. It is a great location for exploring the area, and also the kasbah is a great place to relax and chill out. The rooms are basic and perhaps a bit rustic, but it was perfectly adequate and as expected when traveling in rural Morocco.

The place was very nice, close to the main road. Rooms are all equipped with air conditioning. And the place behind the house, with the pool and restaurant is exceptional! PS we were in the hotel while the earthquake happened near Marrakech and the staff did everything they could to keep us informed and comfortable while waiting outside. Also, they provided warm blankets for those who chose to sleep outside next to the pool that night.

This farm was really fantastic! Both brothers were really friendly and helpful. The way to get there is not so easy, but the place is really great for relax. Everything was clear, dinner was fantastic and morning omolette also :-) I can only recomend to stay there. Unfortunattely we had only one night, but I hope in our next visit to Morocco we will stay there longer. Thank you for everything and hope to see you again! Michal

At Kasbah Ait BenHadda you are treated as a king/queen. The hosts do everything to make you feel at home and they help you with everything you need. Our clothes we're washed and folded and we enjoyed a guided tour in the palmeraie with Abdul, which was provided by the Kasbah hosts. When we asked for a small lunch, we got more then we could ask for. It was our most welcoming stay at Morocco thusfar.

Picturesque hotel tucked in a remote corner of the Skoura oasis in the midst of palm grove. Restructured old building with modern amenities and nice decor with authentic Moroccan pieces. Service is outstanding - one of the best we've seen in Morocco. From welcome tea and fruit tray, to cleaning, to serving food, to goodbye, the young men are doing an amazing job!

Gorgeous Kasbah in the middle of the palmeraie in Skoura. Surrounded by an orchard of palm trees, pomegranate, orange and olive trees, inviting to lounge at the pool all day. The interior design marries the historic Kasbah with a clean, modern chic. The are locals who can tell more about the oasis and the palmeraie, or prepare authentic local food.
