Hotel Restaurant La Kasbah, hotel in Tinerhir

This hotel is located in Tinghir, at the heart of the Toudgha Valley, 15 km from the famous Toudgha Gorges. It offers a rooftop terrace with a panoramic river view.

We had some lovely hotels during our two week trip to Morocco, but this wasn’t one of them! In fact, it was the worst hotel of the trip by far. Perhaps the nightly rate of €26 should have been a clue. I'm truly amazed that people have rated this place so highly - some rating it as a 10! I can't rate it any higher than a 2, and I considered a 1. On the positive side, it had secure parking - and we were only there for one night.

You really don't need to stop here and stay over... The todra gorge is beautiful to see, but you could drive up to it and out again. I recommend stopping at Family el Mabrouk restaurant on your way into the gorge for a truly authentic experience. They are so full of energy. They'll dress you up in traditional wear and take photo's for you. They even took me with to the Souk in town. Highly recommend.

I went through the local market and the downtown area, it's nothing out of the ordinary, it's typical Moroccan, I like the crowd there, it's a commotion that moves and keeps the city alive during the day, but at night it's quiet, I didn't see much because I was welding a small part of the time. Good food .

Among the palm groves we visited during our two week road trip the one in Tinerhir was the greenest, with people working in the fields. What is also nice that the Gorges are close. However you should go for a 4h walk.

unfortunately the night we were there it was very cold and the heating in our room could not keep up. The generator broke down and we had no electricity in our room had to get ready by I Phone light. The walk in the garden the evening we arrived was wonderful the best about this place.

Tinerhir is very authentic, with beautiful landscapes of the kasbah and the palmeraie. Nice panorama's and the Todra gorge is closeby. We arrived by bus and had lunch at the mosque square. The lunch was also very good. The had dinner at the Guesthouse and it was our best, prepared and served with dedication.

To be clear, we stayed outside of Tinerhir closer to the gorge. But, the area has extraordinary beauty and it was well worth the long drive from Marrakesh. We were there for only 24 hours and could have stayed a couple of more days for hiking and just soaking in the landscape.

The hospitality provided by the staff was so warm and caring. The owner made sure we knew exactly how to get to the hike we wanted to do in the gorge and that we were well prepared. The view of the gorge and mountains from the room was spectacular! The room was basic but very comfortable. The food was some of the best we ate in Morocco, especially the chicken brochettes. Forget about staying in Tinghir -- if you want to be up close with nature and the mountains, La Petite Gorge is the place to be.

We had a great stay in this Kasbah near the Toudra valley. The interiour of the room was quite basic but still very charming. The breakfast was also a Highlight with selfmade panecakes. We could start the hike trought the Toudra valley right next to the hotel. So we could start early in the morning! Our host Abdoul was very helpful with every question we had! Thank you again Abdoul to make our stay so pleasant! We will come again!

It's a new hotel with very spacious, well equipped and comfortable rooms. There are excellent views of the Oasis and mountains and it's only a 10 minute walk to the gorge. There weren't any problems with noise and we enjoyed our dinners and breakfasts there. The young man who deals with the guests speaks excellent English and did every thing he could to make our stay enjoyable.

The place, it's impressive!! Decoration, and style of the hotel makes you feel that you go back to the time of the explorers of Africa. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet, with good wifi, and amazing breakfast. The owner it's heavily involved in the restoration of the kasbahs of the area, so can give you a lot of hints and information about the area!

Underground car park for our bikes. Good central hotel with lots of Moroccan character. We had standard room which was a decent size. The bathroom is snug but has everything required. The shower was not very strong but adequate. Nice pool space. Breakfast is simple but suits us, real orange juice was lovely. The evening meal was excellent

Kasbah Omari is a wonderful place to stay! The views are amazing, the WiFi was great for catching up with writing and blogging, and the host was incredible kind and generous. As a bonus, they had safe parking for our motorcycle in the courtyard. It’s easily one of our most favorite places we’ve stayed in Morocco so far.

Rooms are nice, beds are good, very nice swimming pool, very detailed ceiling with a beautiful motif. Two unacceptable misunderstandings that unfortunately give it a low rating, but with better (&correct) service this hotel can score a perfect 10... all the facilities are there to get this right!
