Hilltop Motel & Restaurant, hotel in Grand Falls

A short walk from the majestic Grand Falls, this New Brunswick motel offers on-site dining. Overlooking the waterfalls and the gorge this motel features comfortably furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi.

I usually stop here on trips between the east coast & Ontario. Very handy to get to from the highway & there are stores etc to purchase goods, if required. The rooms are certainly comfortable for an overnight stay. Staff are accommodating with any requests regarding the access etc. Love the restaurant looking over the dam & falls.

    Some history in the town.

Some history in the town. We like the walk around, just make sure you have good footwear. We mostly eat at the Hotel. Would imagine there are things for younger couples. We are both in our 80s but still find things, just not as loud or fast like 10 years ago. If the falls is open it is good for photos & even if closed you see a lot.

Grand Falls Gorge is amazing, and the downtown core is cute and worth a visit. The best thing bout Grand Falls is the country side in either direction there is jaw dropping scenery everywhere you look once you get off the beaten track.

Would have appreciated a room in the main building, no Wi-Fi in the cabins which were very small, and next to a busy railroad. I would not recommend this place. Didn't even have clean chairs on the deck of our cabin so we could sit outside. Did not meet our expectations.

I would not use this location if you have bad knees or difficulty with stairs as the room I had was on the second floor with no elevator and the tall, wide staircase was a challenge for me, especially when carrying up luggage.

Grand Falls needs a makeover. It is tired.

Grand Falls needs a makeover. It is tired. CBD under construction so maybe it will have some attraction afterwards. Access and egress from the highway to B&B was totally weird. Not the B&B fault - city / province fault. Restaurant meal we had was bland and not at all memorable in any way. They apparently have no seasonings or spices in the kitchen. And it was apparently the best place in town. I will be leaving restaurant review on their site.

A lovely town, with a great main street with lots of places to eat. Although the Falls don't have a lot of water on at this time of year (we were told the best time is Spring), the rocks were still stunning to look at.

Staff are great - friendly and super helpful. Rooms are as advertised. Parking is easy, plentiful and free. Pet fee is fair at $30. We have a non-shedding, 12 lb toy poodle. I doubt if there’s any extra effort required from your cleaning staff for our dog, compared to a large, long haired and shedding dog. Some hotels give a welcome package for pups. I’d suggest a bowl for water and perhaps some treats. The Delta hotel gave him a tennis ball, cookie treats and a roll of biodegradable poop bags. Smart.

We were in the Yellow Room. The room is very clean and bed is very comfortable. We had very restful sleep. Host was friendly. Lily, the goldendoodle was very welcoming and loves being patted. Location was on a quiet street and within walking distance to Grand Falls. Breakfast was a choice of ham & eggs, or pancakes. We chose ham & eggs on brown toast. They were delicious!!! Highly recommend staying her if you are at Grand Falls!

Location is easy to find, close to highway. Place is calm and relaxing (just occasionally train passing near). Breakfast is classical continental, but really tasty comparing to most other hotels of same price range. Practically everything exceded my expectation.

The hotel is conveniently located near the highway and includes a hot breakfast buffet. The hotel is run down and needs maintenance. The pillows were lumpy, the beddings smelled strongly of bleach and the linens were threadbare. I would not recommend staying here.

Very clean and comfortable. Easy check in, but the amenities were not described during the check in (where was the pool, what time was the breakfast). Breakfast was very good for standard 'breakfast included' hotel stays.

Breakfast was great. Because I requested 2 beds, due to shortage at the hotel we were assigned a cabin. It was campy but fun, however, no wifi and that was disappointing.
