Aura, our host was so polite and accommodating. We asked for an early check in , and she was able to provide it to us, furthermore Aura offered us a late check out if we needed it. Very thoughtful of her as we came so late from the weeding and we needed to rest.
The room was clean and everything as described, will totally come back and recommend this place.

Very elegant room and decor, and most importantly, a very comfortable and supportive mattress! We drove all the way from Toronto to Montreal and stayed in five hotels and this one was the one I slept the best.
Also this hotel offers breakfast in bed which is great for traveling or vacationing! The staff was very good communicating and nice. the hotel location is a three minute walk to a local dt street. It was very good experience.

The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef.
The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef. We had an outstanding dinner and breakfast. Food was like music in my mouth. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Inn is a beautiful old mansion with cool modern art. Pictor has a lot to offer and so close to many attractions. Would recommend lake on the mountain, sandbanks and waupoos winery.

To be honest, there were not much restaurant so, the price is a bit higher and difficult to find the place during the pick time.
There is one steak restaurant recommended by hotel, I had horrible experience.
The price is very high comparing the portion of the food and unfriendly staffs. (I prefer the KEG)
For the next time, I don't want to make the hotel reservation in Picton. I would suggest to go to Kingston instead.

It's a nice place. Nice and clean.
It's a nice place. Nice and clean. It's an old house, so the floors squeak. Not a big deal. It is a self check in and check out. I know there were "owners" there, we saw them when we arrived, but that was it. The phone left as contact did not answer. Emails about early check in were not replied. We checked in about 2 ours early and it was fine. Simple room (yellow rrom - twin bed and private bathroom) but they didn't mention the bathroom was in the hall, not in the room.

We enjoyed Picton. Recommend Royal Hotel for a great meal!
We enjoyed Picton. Recommend Royal Hotel for a great meal! Our lodging was far less than we expected and what we paid for, however. Electrical and fire hazards were among our concerns. There should be a way for our concerns (as explained in more detail in n the review of the Stone Carriage House - Barouche Suite) to be registered so that others who come after us don’t experience the same problems.

Such a cute town with many boutiques and restaurants!
Such a cute town with many boutiques and restaurants! Houses are beautiful to look at, walk around and take photos! Cute park nearby to picnic or sit and watch boats! Town is near by foot or car. Would go back!
Great restaurants like the Spanish one and yummy ice cream at Slickers!
Wonderful place for rest. We chose Merril House to celebrate my husband's birthday and have not regretted it for a second. Beautiful, clean, intimate, amazing team of staff. Dining was on par with restaurants on the Champs Elysees in Paris. Special thanks to concierge Sean, Dinner server Susan and Breakfast server Joselyne. Always smiling, attentive, ready to help at any request made our stay unforgettable. We will be happy to return and recommend to our children.
The property was perfect. It was maintained to the highest standard and fitted with everything you would need for a weekend/week away.
Located on a quiet street, walking distance to shops, restaurants, the marina and lake front seating. Only a short drive to many beautiful areas of PEC. Beautiful private outdoor space to enjoy coffee/glass of wine I. the sun or shade.
Communication with property manager and owner were excellent.
10/10! Jake went above and beyond to make sure our stay went seamlessly. the home is gorgeous, the room is spacious, the facilities in the house make it feel like a hotel (coffee in the morning, fridge with drinks), and Jake provided so many amazing recommendations that made our trip better than we could have hoped. location is also perfect, walking distance to many fab restaurants. will be back ASAP!
A delightful stay. Rooms were clean; decor was modern and "50s chic." Lots of small little touches: glass of rose at check in; firepit to sit in with comfy ADK chairs, complimentary breakfast (muffins, fruit, yogurt, tea/coffee), filtered water in the fridge, etc. We had visited Picton on a whim, without a room booked in advance. This was by far the most economical and so pleased we did this!
Beautiful location; quiet and close to Picton at the same time
Old house renovated with very good taste
Very pretty backyard, with nice table, very clean and well-functioning barbecue (the best in all my house rentals in recent years), clean and comfortable outdoor chairs
Stunning bathrooms
Well-equipped kitchen
Usefull washer and dryer
Sandbank pass was included and very much appreciated
Coffee for mornings were great out of a ceramic mug
Other breakfast choices on site not my preference but having vouchers for different restaurants nearby for breakfast were very welcomed and delicious places
Location was exceptional, able to walk to Main Street Picton for dinner 3 of our nights
Very short trips to other must see sights like Sandbanks and Lake on the mountain
The Hotel is very unique: very old fashioned and is very clean and good maintain at the same time: huge territory, fantastic garden.
Our room was very clean, the breakfast absolutely good and tasty, service is very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't open on Tuesday, but the breakfast was amazing.
Barry , the owner was extremely friendly , efficient and quick on his replies to try to accommodate our needs. The location is walking distance from main street. The house is cozy , clean , historic and modern on the rooms. Very worth it. The room can provide you the basics to be at home.
Well located near restaurants and shopping. Easy to get around. It was lovely to wonderful to have a full kitchen for breakfasts and we especially liked sitting in the garden. The home was charming and comfortable. It far surpassed any hotel room or B & B. Towels were plentiful.
This place was so adorable and perfectly clean! It’s a 2 minute drive to downtown picton and you can see the water from the living room! The hosts were lovely and left us delicious ginger cake :)
It was available at an almost reasonable price in a place where accommodations have become outrageously expensive - even in November. Servers/staff were all very good. Room was large.
The whole property has a lot to offer and it was a surprise to us to see goats and chickens it was great! It is very relaxing and more personable then staying at a regular hotel.
Property is right off of downtown Picton. Easy walk to almost everywhere you want to go.
Manager was easy to deal with and helpful.
Would highly recommend to all.
Wish I had used the patio and BBQ area. Would definitely stay again. Brian generously offered his park pass for the Sandbanks, which saved us $20 on parking
