Great stay for our family of 7, 3 generations, in the top 3 bedroom suite. Fully equipped kitchen, large rooms, beautiful deck over looking the ocean. We loved the hanging king size bed/day bed on the deck, and we stay in it for hours reading/web surfing listing to the ocean waves.
1 block away from a fantastic beach with large stretch of sand during low tide. Great swimming spot.
Mr. Higgins / Rob is warm, courteous, goes out of his way to accommodate us. Our youngest enjoyed playing with the dog and feeding the fish and cats.
Laundry on site can be used by guests. This is our second year. Love this inn for our family.

We loved everything about this beautiful home. Not only does it have a lovely piano that greets you as you open the door, the bed is comfortable and the layout and amenities are perfect! Marg and Grant are incredibly thoughtful and kind hosts who baked us the most delicious cookies.

Powell River is an amazing place if you are a lover of the outdoors. While the town itself has all the amenities you want from garages to large grocery stores, a few restaurants and some beaches, the best of this part of BC's lower mainland only accessible by ferry or private plane is the scenic coastline, the shorefront, the parks, and the wildlife.

Powell River is great if you like to get away from the fast pace city life. There is very little traffic! There are lots of different beaches to explore. There are also hiking trails in the woods. On our drive to Lund we saw 2 different bears by the side of the road. Then when we went to Gibsons Beach on another day we saw 2 bears again. We also saw soaring bald eagles. There are nice restaurants in town. But we preferred to cook our own food.
Willingdon Beach has a great playground for kids.

Inland Lake was awesome.
Inland Lake was awesome. You need about 6 km drive off road, bou you will not regret the drive. Walking around the lake is not something to be missed. Take food with you and enjoy a relaxed meal after a good swim in the lake!

Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit.
Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit. We have enjoyed the Historical Tour a lot. Another highlight, while waiting for the ferry was a walk to Costa de Sol Latin Cuisine where we had a wonderful outdoor lunch. There are great ocean views from many many places! We especially enjoyed the ferry trip from Saltery Bay to Earl's Cove and back, though with it being a busy summer day, the wait was long and hot in the Bay waiting area. Powell River is a bit locked-in as there are ferries to take in both directions, but we kept busy exploring for our two days. Travel around and on to the rest of the Sunshine Coast is a bit easier/quicker in the off-season, but we still enjoyed P River A LOT!!

Lots of options for dining.
Lots of options for dining. We explored the area by jeep, looking for rec sites to camp at in the fall. Found lots of places. Inland Lake has a 13km walking trail around the entire lake, going to do that for sure. Locals mentioned the fishing is amazing in all the lakes

I was born and raised in Powell River, BC Their is so much to do and see one needs at least a month. Their is bed and breakfast here with amenities to die for. Hotels only one is good. Be careful for I was fooled. Many motels check them out first or ask locals. Fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking swimming, Very arts and crafts (many amazing talented people here) Great for outdoor sports . Still have the home town feel of friendly people that is hard to come by these days.
The retro decor made this place very charming. The room was small, but comfortable. It had everything we needed. I like that the hotel has a DVD library and board games, which we would have checked out on a longer stay.
I also appreciated that the inn is cutting down on waste and offered a soap product, which can be used for hair and body.
Since we were there on a Monday we missed out on Edie Rae's breakfast buffet; the room rate was lower than on other days.
The view was awesome and the freshly renovated room was lovely and comfortable. The pet fee of $20 per day was steep compared to what we were used to but other than thought it was great. Also the toiletries were wonderful, conditioner, face bar and soothing lotion, seems like a small thing but lots of places cheap out here and they went over and above. Also the air conditioning was great during the heat wave.
Very quiet and restful.
We had the little cottage to ourselves, surrounded by natural wild gardens. Chickens, geese and rabbits on the property (no roosters). The hostess are very nice. The wife is a painter and the husband is a glass artist. The walls of the cottage are decorated with their wonderful art.
Away from the town of Powell River, but close enough for convenience.
We had a comfortable room with coffee machine, fridge, air conditioning, a powerful shower, good wifi and AppleTV. Check-in was efficient. Beds are comfortable, it was quiet and we had a decent night's sleep. The hotel definitely has some charm and history. It's in a good location and overall served our needs quite well.
Perfect for people with dogs. There is amble grass area right outside the motel rooms. About three of the rooms have ocean views through the trees. WE had the best room for that so we stayed for 4 nights. Staff is very friendly and always available. It is not super modern but whatever is there works and is clean.
It’s a very old hotel, very outdated, described as beachfront but it’s all industrial infront. It is in a great location close to a few restaurants and a minute walk from townsite brewery. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The gentlemen at the front desk was so polite, he deserves a raise!
The room was very comfortable, totally updated & great value for money. :0)
They hosts were very accomodating, friendly & even had a unique special gift of home baking waiting on the table.
I recommend this unit to anyone wanting to spend time in Powell River. :0)
The room is super clean and well maintained. Love the location with an ocean view in the quiet neighborhood historic townsite which is close to almost everything including a historic theater! It's a great find for a comfortable and affortable stay in Powell River.
The suite was perfect! It has a very functional kitchen, extra comfy bed, and lovely shower. Grant and Marg are absolutely lovely and super helpful and accommodating! I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Powell River.
Very clean with an ocean view and conveniently located near the ferry stop. The owner was very helpful and proud of her little motel. I recommend this to anyone who just needs a clean room without all the frills.
Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. In the center of the old townsite with not a lot around it. Shopping and restaurants only a 5 minute drive away. Room was clean and functional with small kitchenette. .
We paid a little extra to upgrade to a hot breakfast, and I'm glad we did. It was surprisingly good! Overall the hotel was good and met our needs - clean, quiet, and friendly staff.
