Communication with the owner was very good. Isabelle is very attentive and caring. The house has 2 nice bedrooms and a very large bathroom. Very nice terrace, especially in the morning sun! The kitchen is well equipped. Having a washing machine and a dryer in a separate room (in which you find a sofa bed that is comfortable, at least for one person) was very good. The area is very quiet, and it was marvellous to be able to sleep with open windows. The outside is nice with an outdoor fireplace. The place was very clean.. the beds were very comfortable. Good shower pressure.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. He view is beyond sun in and if you have a dog, the property is quite large and grassy to walk or run. The staff are extremely helpful. We stay here every year when returning from PEI.

We were allowed to use the dining room to ear our own food the evening we arrived and were even offered plates and utensils.
Also liked that the breakfast was served with minimal disposable items / packaging. (ie no plastic plates, etc)
Pool was clean and warm.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was nice. Lots of space and a gas fireplace that made it quite cheerful. The bathroom was huge with a spa tub and separate shower. The beds were comfortable. It's also located next door to a restaurant so excellent if you're traveling and want to get something to eat latish. We didn't meet staff directly, except in the restaurant. However, we talked to them after we left because we forgot a pair of glasses. They were super nice and helpful and shipped them to us. That was really fantastic. Would cheerfully stay again.

Just a drive through after the ferry but would not recommend using booking for reservations. We got a room - supposedly the last in town - at a hotel - Cofotel - that wasn't worth staying at, and booking too a review on it I did not send, so if you are staying in Saint Simeon, do not use booking! Also, they kept posting rooms in Riviere du loup - a ferry ride across the St. Lawrence. I feel sorry for Saint Simeon as they are not a fancy town, but Booking and other tourist mentions do not make it look very inviting. At this time of year, not many restaurants are open or have good ratings.Marion - 10Scored 10

The town is tiny, but near the ferry and very picturesque with abundant water views. There are very few restaurants and a tiny grocery store, so options are limited for dining out, but the grocery store is well-stocked with pre-made meals and sandwiches. Location is midway between La Malbaie and Tadoussac, so it is easy to explore both areas.

St Simeon is a lovely tiny town on the St Lawrence River.
St Simeon is a lovely tiny town on the St Lawrence River. It has a ferry that crosses over to the south shore of the St Lawrence River to Riviere du Loup. We stayed 2 blocks from the ferry terminal. There is a waterfront park there with picnic tables, a public washroom, and water access if you have your own kayaks or paddle boards. The local garage fixed our flat tire without any waiting. We just showed up and they fixed it right away. Thank you. Across the street from the ferry terminal is a cafe coffee shop. They make great coffees and have baked treats as well as sandwiches and wraps. We ate supper at the Restaurant sur Mer, a quick walk from the Cofotel Hotel ( we were given a free upgrade) where we were staying. Every table has a view of the St Lawrence. There were no vegan options here so we ate a vegetable soup and garden salad and fries. We were so grateful for the kindness and generosity of the people here: from the garage Savard that fixed our flat tire in record time, to the free upgrade at the Cofotel hotel, thank you. We will be back.

Our hostess was the sweetest and most accommodating. We enjoyed the little river that runs past the inn while sitting in on the lawn and catching up on our day. St. Anne's Basilica is located just south of Saint-Simeon and it is worth a visit! Beautiful complex of buildings and extraordinary tile work. Genevieve and Claude were wonderful hosts..helpful and kind. They have a number of board games available, but they invited us to play a Norse lawn bowling game with them…such fun! We went kayaking right in front of the hotel, too. Plenty of room outside on the lawn with chairs, tables and a grill, if you need one. Our room was more than spacious. When heading this way again, we will be back here to stay.

Based here we drove 20 miles north to Tadoussac to catch the “Navettes du Fjord” 11:30-5pm boat up the Saguenay River to L’Anse Saint Jean sighting Beluga Whales en route.
