We enjoyed how the Hotel was interactive- more than just a lobby & restaurant.
We inadvertently forgot a small pillow from home,in our room when we checked out. Initially, the first time we phoned about it, we were told that it was our responsibility to arrange for shipping it back to us. The second call to Hotel Zed, the person answering immediately said that they could send it to us ~ no problem. We received it back yesterday. It may be just a pillow , but it has extreme sentimental value.

Great location situated just above the water front looking out over the bay. We had a fun and successful boat tour to see black bears, sea otters, seals and eagles organised by the onsite Adventure Centre. The onsite restaurant, Shelter, was very professionally run, offering great food at sensible prices; a great place to watch the sunset and the resident sea lion pottering about amongst the boats.

We loved Tofino and highly recommend it for a stay.
We loved Tofino and highly recommend it for a stay. Beautiful part of the country. Great food. Lots of outdoor activities. Took a boat trip with Remote Passages to see the bears and it was a fantastic 3 hours. Stayed at Chesterman beach which is a great location - Seafarer B&B (friendly, comfortable and quiet). Had huge breakfasts provided at the B&B and didn’t need to eat again until dinner! Had great meals at The Shelter and Roar (which is in the Zed Hotel) Restaurants. Drove 40 minutes to Ucluelet one day to walk tracks around Wild Pacific Rim. Fantastic photos - eagles, seal, landscape, rock pools. Lovely cafes.

Tofino is worth the drive.
Tofino is worth the drive. Loved the casual vibe of this remote surf town. In winter it was delightful. We went up to Ucluelet and did a walk. We surfed in very thick wetsuits, and we had a sauna on the beach. The whale watching in winter didn't seem to be so easy to find.FranceneAustralia - 10Scored 10
What an absolutely interesting place!
What an absolutely interesting place! And we experienced both a trees breaking, power outing ferocious storm, and some pleasant and moderately sunny weather. Our stay at the Tin Wis Resort was beyond our expectations. We look forward to coming back, maybe in the summer next time.Norm and CherylCanada - 10Scored 10
Visiting in the "off season" was very nice.
Visiting in the "off season" was very nice. Everyone seemed relaxed and there were no crowds. Lots of free parking available. Most stores/restaurants were open. Some of the tour groups were still operating as well. Co-op was a great place for reasonably priced groceries, including a deli/bakery. Trails were well groomed and easy to locate. Try to work in the Bog Boardwalk trail as it's a very unusual area. People were still surfing/kayaking, etc.HelenCanada - 10Scored 10

The 1.5 hr seaplane flight with Atleo was excellent - stop at a remote lake for a swim, see the coast, the interior, - just excellent. Food was disappointing - by the sea yet very few served seafood that focused on the seafood - the focus seemed to be on having as many flavours as possible

Onsite are two places to get great food, and the resort is very close to other restaurants including Browns Socialhouse. The resort grounds include fire pits, barbeque pits, scenic view benches, walking paths and saunas. The resort is located just a few minutes away from Tofino itself, and a short drive to the other main beaches. This has become my favourite spot to stay when I am out that way.JohnCanada

And then we went up to our room to open the window to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Quite magical! Rooms were clean and the staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast had quite the variety of baked goods, and we left full by the time we set off for the day.

Most cabins off the beach would only have a view of another cabin, unless you’re on the upper floor. Staff was amazing. The cabin was very clean, and they have fire pits to sit around!
