It was very nice stay. The hotel was neat and clean.
Tha staff's were friends. It is very good location near to the souq and the Nizwa fort which is at walkable distance and can witness Omani traditional dance and dramas.
The food in the Turkish restaurant just below the hotel was very good.

Nizwa is a lovely city with lots to see however it is also central to many other towns and sights within easy drives. The highlight for me is the Friday goat market and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Nizwa.

Nizwa is a beautiful little town you need to stop by if you are venturing around in Oman. The Nizwa fort is a must. I learned a lot about the country and Nizwa by walking around and seeing the exhibition and everything else. Also in Nizwa, you have a small and cute souq. I found the prices in Nizwa lower than in Muscat, especially the saffron. If you plan on going to Muscat after Nizwa, I would also recommend buying a scarf there. I also loved the fruit market where I got to taste Halwa in different styles (something I wouldn't have dared try at a restaurant) and just the smells and atmosphere were incredible.

True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf.
True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf. Citadel is worth it and well preserved. Old souks are also real. It is a nice hub to visit the area and fort around it in Hamra, Bahla and even to go to Jabal Akhdar. strongly recommend one of the charming hotels inside the old city. Problem with Niza (like much of Oman) is that outside of nature activities, there is not much to do. no good restaurants, festivals, concerts, or places to go out to.

Very nice city, souq, castle, fort and mosque all close one to each other, so really convenient to visit them together. A lot of restaurants, bars and amenities. Qaboos mosque 10mins far from city center, it needs a car to be reached.

people ale super nice. they were talking to us, waving, asking if we are happy here and wishing us good stay. beautiful old town, gorgeous old buildings. amazing and not so priced food. in central souq prices are high, but if you go to eastern souq you can meet nice people and buy good things in great prices! there’s drinkable water on the streets for free. lots of plants in whole city. unlike many big cities, Nizwa is very walkable, you don’t need a car or taxi to explore it. highly recommended:)

Nizwa is a small yet beautiful town located at an hour and a half drive from Muscat. Drive from Muscat to Nizwa and back has breathtaking views especially during winters and people are friendly.
Trip to Nizwa Souq is a must and drive around the city is enjoyable too. Souq offers the opportunity to experience the culture and heritage of Oman and Antique shops are amazing.
For those going to Jebel Akhdar, its just 35 - 40 kms from Nizwa, depending on which part of the town you are in.
It can be just a day trip for those travelling from Muscat or a weekend retreat if someone is looking for a small break.
Overall really worth a visit.
I enjoyed my stay at Omani Guest House so much. It was actually my favorite stay during my week in Oman! It was super comfortable and very spacious. There are outside spaces, including a breakfast/ hang out area and also apparently a roof (which I didn't explore myself). The bed and shower was great and it really has everything you need. Great wifi connection as well. The location is 10/10 - just a few minutes walk from the souq, the Friday goat market, and the fort. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Nizwa.
The facilities are great and the staff and food are fantastic. While it is a little outside Nizwa (about 20 min drive all on main roads) taxis are plentiful and can be ordered from the hotel. As a relaxing environment (the pool is huge and the two bars incredibly well presented), this is a little like an oasis for those that need a quick recharge visiting the treasure trove of cultural adventure that is Oman.
We had a great stay!
Very nicely renovated in typically authentic Omani style. Really a must go if you visit Oman as a tourist. Adventurous place to walk around.
Very nice and comfortable room.
Great pool and rooftop terrace
Very delicious breakfast
Very well maintained (better than average for Omani standards)
Good price
Good location, in the middle of the old and charming streets of Nizwa
Very comfortable and clean rooms with great air flow - I prefer the window and fan. Superb location - just 5-10 min walking to Souq Nizwa. And Hossein and Saadiq, the staff, really help you feel comfortable and relaxed. Importantly, as it is missing in many accommodations in Oman, there is a sitting area outside to meet other guests over coffee and/or breakfast.
We were looking forward to staying at this unique hotel for its historical significance. We ended up staying in one of the buildings that was over 350 years old. This hotel did not disappoint. The manager of the hotel was very professional and accommodating. He made our stay in Nizwa perfect. We felt like we were transported back in time.
The hotel is very modern, and the facilities are good. They had Omani coffee available at the reception with dates. The rooms are small but sufficient for a family of 4. The beds are comfortable, and the TV is modern. The breakfast downstairs is well prepared and there are ample options to choose amongst. The staff are friendly.
Great place. We loved the place. Very atmospheric and beautifully appointed. Room have this old charm and the corridor are beautifully decorated. Staff is most helpful, like in many places in Oman. Definitely not your grandma's bland Holiday Inn Express or Quality Inn.
we enjoyed our stay very much. spacious house with own big pool. was the best resort on our Oman trip. location also very good, close to Al hamra, bahla, nizwa and a lot of beautiful 4x4 tracks close by. good for families!!! very recommended
Great place, a convenient location if you have a car. The hotel is new and pretty clean. Food delivery has a selection of restaurants in Talabat. Omani people are so friendly and welcoming, pleasure to go there every time.
super friendly staff, ali gave us so many useful informations about nizwa and the country of oman.
very modern but traditional interior-design.
nice rooftop terrace with a view over the city.
location couldn‘t be better
Rooms very very neat, place very spacious. 2 bathrooms was definitely a huge plus. Communications qith the manager very good with some extra information about Nizwa and attractions nearby. Great value for money.
The stay was amazing. nice place, nice clean rooms nearb the center of Nizwa.
Location is perfect and the room was very beautiful, old style Omani. The owner was great help and made our stay very pleasant.
Hotel Location is near to all tourist sight, clean and tidy, ambiance is heritage and historic, we love our one night stay and recommend but better to park ur car little far from the hotel
The view was amazing right next to Nizwa fort. Rooms were clean, ready and tidy with beautiful smell. I loved the breakfast they served it was all traditional Omani food
location in old Nizwa near all attractions incl. souq, fort & goat market. Breakfast was good. Hotel parking available as it is not easy to park your car nearby.
