We stayed in Nafplio for 2 days but we could have stayed much longer because it is beautiful town with many places to visit. From here we went to Epidaurus, Tyrins and Mycenae, all these are extraordinary archeological sites. The Palamidi fortress is a huge medieval citadel that sits on a hill overlooking the city, very impressive and well conserved, a masterpiece on itself. The problem there is the parking lot which is really very very small for the huge amount of visitors. It is very crowded at most times. The city center is very picturesque, narrow streets with beautiful houses and flowers everywhere, lots of small shops and boutiques.

Nafplio is a lovely and picturesque town, with lots of good restaurants and shops. It's in a lovely setting, and there are a fair few things to see and visit in the town itself, while it also makes a great base for exploring the rest of the Peloponnese. Party town! Plenty of choice for eating out. Cafes and wine bars. From the cheap to the expensive up market restaurants. Quality of food excellent and cheap. Great community market every Wednesday and Saturday. If you have a kitchen this is the place to shop. An abundance of various shops, souvenirs, clothing, jewellery and the like. Good nearby beach and sightseeing of ruins.

Beautiful old town with small leeway’s and lots of restaurants and Botquite shops. Lovely Harbourside with plenty of bars and eateries. A 2k walkable pathway to shingle beach area. The castle is a must sea either by steps or drive up.

although nafplio itself is not large, especially if you stick to the old town which is the most interesting part it is a good base for local tours either with a bus/ktel, affordable taxi or a car. We would have liked to at least check out Epidavros as well and a near by monastery. if you plan to visit nearby sites without basing your self in nafplio 2 days is plenty other wise 4 days to fit Mycenae and Epidavrus

3 nights max is perfect for Nafplio during the winter season. The city is beautiful, the Venesian forst was fabulous and the food is good. The only issue I have with the city is the terrible smell, air quality that seems to start around 5pm and continues until about 8 pm.

The bed and bedding is extremely comfortable, the best sleep I’ve had during my trip. Like a cloud! I had a room with balcony and it overlooked terracotta roofs and a beautiful church dome. Breakfast was bountiful, fresh and delicious and Dimitris is an excellent proprietor, friendly and accommodating and quick to reply when I had to ask questions. The hotel is a really nice place for that, as there are just 15 rooms or so, and the ruins of Ancient Greece a few kilometers away. the staff was quite nice and helpful, always available and they did everything they could to serve gluten free dishes as I have a celiac problem. the food was really good, with ingredients of very good quality. to sum up : I wish I could stay a few more days.

AC worked well, and and the beds were adequately comfortable. The staff spoke English and were very helpful and accommodated us when we needed an unexpectedly late check-in and assisted with laundry. The location is amazing, in the very center of Nafplio, close to all the shops and taverns. The room itself was very spacious, wonderfully decorated and we really enjoyed the bathtub with the jacuzzi function. The breakfast was delicious and plenty, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They helped us arrange our visit to Mycenae (Mykines) and answered all our questions thoroughly. My daughter wasn't feeling well but recovered quickly after getting good rest staying here. Breakfast has the most variety of all the places we stayed in Greece; they even included desserts! Short car ride to the city center, and very close to major supermarkets!

There are a lot of shops and restaurants all around the hotel. We we're right on the beach. If you would like to swim, you can walk around the mountain pass, and find a little beach to hang out in to swim. One you are done, you can walk the 999 steps up to the castle. Beautiful hotel location, near everything!
