Great location, right above the main beach and gulf in Skala Marion.
Everything was perfect Peacefull and effortless vacation.Just by the sea, a few steps to the beach, a few steps to the tavernas with very good traditional foods. A beautifull apartment with a unique design and view and a confortable, a terrace full of plants. A splendid wiew in the sunset. The beach is not full sandy and it is little, but it is near the apartments. Very kind host.
The place is really nice and cosy, decorated with great taste and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Cleaning is done every day on point.You have everything you need around: tavernas, beaches, supermarket, pharmacy, bakery.

Not so great for me, I was expecting at something else.
Not so great for me, I was expecting at something else. Everything was quite expensive. For example, other friends went in Lefkada where all the beaches are really beautiful and nice, and the prices were almost the same as here. But here, I was not so impressed. I had the same locations in my country but more cheaper.

In Thassos it is essential to travel by car. Skala Marion is on the South-Western coast, therefore you'll admire incredible sunsets. It is a village, not a town, and has a quiet atmosphere, not an effervescent vibe. There are some little shops and quite a few taverns, where you can eat fresh local food (especially fish and seafood) but also regular restaurant dishes, at a fair price. People are friendly, the three beaches (Sunset, Skala Maries and Atspas) are sandy and children-friendly, the water is clear.

Hosts are wonderful and willing to help at any time. The balcony has beautiful see view and sunset scenery is amazing. Breakfast is served at nice terrace , and extra cup of coffee is not a problem. Breakfast is served, and is not self service. During first half of september, there was plenty of parking area around the apartments, so parking was not an issue at any time. Center of the village is 3min walk away with great restaurants with good see food. Another 3 minutes, and you reach city main beach. Great value for money.

Skala Marion beach is one of the best beaches on Thassos...
Skala Marion beach is one of the best beaches on Thassos island. Sandy beach with shallow, crystal clear and very warm water. Cozy bay. Free sun beds if you order a few drinks and food :) Unfortunately, there is no toilet on the beach and you have to climb lots of stairs to the cafe/bar to go to the toilet. There is a parking space for cars. Around Skala Marion beach, there are a few cafes and restaurants, supermarkets etc but all in all, it's a small place.

Five minutes away is the centre of Skala Marion village where you can find amazing sea food at all tavernas there. There is also bakery and pharmacy. It has three beaches in the village, so you have options. The place is so good for families with children, it is so beautiful and quiet. I definitely recommend it, good value for money. The size of the room was a nice surprise, very spacious. The location in Skala Marion is very nice with good tavernas less than 10 minutes walk from the accomodation. The only thing to note is that the hotel is located up steep hill, so it's not comfortable for senior travelers. You would exercise every time you come back, unless you drive the car.IrynaMalta

Cleanning services, changing towels and sheets as often as we needed-we felt like in the hotel. The area is peaceful, we could hear the seawaves and birds every morning and evening. Irene is an amazing host, warm and familiar, our baby adored her :)

You have to drive to get anywhere, there nothing in walking distance, and initially we thought that's a problem. But it's no problem at all. Skala Marion and Atspas beach (which is a very nice beach) are a 3 minutes drive, no exaggeration, it only takes 3 minutes :) And, the best part, the view of the sunset is fabulous.

For us it was a great location, we walked in the evening to skala marion center for dinner, a 5 min relaxing walk. Also, there is a beach nearby. The apartment is nicely equipped with everything you might need. All seem to be configured really efficiently, we loved our small kitchen and our rooms. Will be back for sure.
