There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake.
There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake. But, for us that was the reason to come since we wanted to avoid any outside activities. Just wanted to do be in the hotel and enjoy in SPA! Will come back for sure!

Keszthely is well worth the trip.
Keszthely is well worth the trip. It has an historical town centre, more than one beach, a stately home with interesting museums including a fabulous model railway facility and the beautiful gardens are free to stroll through or sit on one of the many available benches. There were plenty of eating places, which are reasonably priced and the area is well serviced by buses and trains.

This is a tourist town, but not as crowded as those on the south of the lake. It is advertised as a medieveal town but there was little sign of this. However, it was a pleasant place to be with good beches, and the restaurants were OK if you chose carefully.

An unexpectably charming town on lake Balaton.
An unexpectably charming town on lake Balaton. There are some amazing parks, the whole town is very clean and full of flowers. People are friendly and many speak at least some English or German. Not all restaurants are open in October, but there are many places where you can taste amazing local foods. The place is a heaven for people who love museums, and the church and the castle are breathtaking. If you like cycling or water sports then you will find many interesting activities by the lake where you can also find a Ferris wheel and see the town from a little different perspective.

Nice and cosy town located far away (by European scales) from big cities. Good place to have a rest and enjoy the Balaton lake with a family and kids. All beaches are in very good conditions and are not very deep. So, it may be even a problem to swim for adults)
Have you no kids you may also find a lot of attractions in and around the city: palaces, small streets and restaurants in the old city center, castels, souvenir markets, local wineries, thermal batches.
The hostess was very friendly and hospitable.
She gave us lots of ideas and tips on what to visit and explore.
Accomodation was lovely and comfortable.
Everything was flawless.
It is ideal for people who like to spend time outside.
There is a beautiful garden and a terrace where you can relax in the evening after a day spent sightseeing.
Decoration of the whole place is really nice.
I definitely recommend a stay of at least 7 days because the offer of sights in Keszthely and its surroundings is numerous.
I warmly recommend!
This is a roomy, very well-furnished, comfortable apartment, just right for a couple in the room with the double bed and two friends in the room with the twin beds. It is bright and cheerfully decorated, and the location is superb--right behind the Festitics Palace and several other tourist attractions and an easy walk through the center of town to the beach. It has free parking available on the street right in front...and the lady in the flower shop downstairs is very helpful.
The location was excellent! About a 15-minute walk from the train station if dragging a suitcase. Easy walk to the beach or the city center. Easy bus ride to Badactsony where they had a wine festival the weekend I was there. I was incredibly grateful to the hostess who found me a room on the ground floor. The fridge failed but they replaced it immediately. She also arranged for a taxi back to the train station as my suitcase was very heavy from all the wine I bought!
We were very satisfied during our stay in Keszthely. The owner of the pension - young lady Dora, her son and her mother Josephine were wonderful, very helpful and hospitable. Especially the breakfasts were amazing. The guesthouse is newly renovated, equipped with nice furniture, in a quiet location, close to the beach. What else could you wish more?
Beautiful location for both the lake, biking around & also sightseeing in Keszthely & nearby. Our room was a good size with nice seating area both in the room as well as on the balcony. Comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was varied & tasty. Dinner selection was also tasty with good selection each night.
It was a great vacation and rest! Cozy private Lake beach and many water activities inside. Big various and delicitions buffet table. Room is comfort and look nice. WiFi was very good. You can also rent a bike and see city of Keszthely, which is also very nice.
Personal was very helpful.
- we chose this place because it was in walking distance from one of the beaches of Keszthely (Helios beach - unfortunately not recommended)
- although we didn't meet the host, the checkin process and room access went flawlessly
- car can be easily parked in front of the building
This is a very good choice for a stay in Keszthely. Location is down a quiet side-street, but literally 2 min walk from the main pedestrian walkway with restaurants, cafes and so. Appartment is clean, well equipped, with spacious dining area. Friendly host! Safe parking provided.
very good location (within walking distance from castle and pier), free private parking, spacious apartment, nicely furnished, very clean and tidy, host was very friendly and offered us recommendations for shopping and sightseeing as well as a map, great value for money
It was a very convenient and comfortable for our 1 night stay. it was a short walk from the train station which made it easy for us to get to. The room was a good size and it was very well located and a short walk to see everything Keszthely had to offer.
We are so glad we found this apartment. It is a great size, and location so close to Keszthely beach. There was air con in the room, kitchen fully equipped, We would love to come and stay again. The host was lovely and met us to check in and out.
In Keszthely you have wonderful beach and wonderful city center. Unfortunately they are separated. Luckily for us, the accommodation lied just in between the two. Perfect place for those who would really love to examine both during the stay.
We loved everything about Hotel Bacchus! The staff was attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed the wine museum and renting the bikes on-site.
The jacuzzi was the best I have ever seen. The breakfast was very good. They also have a sauna and two small pools. The beach is very close And the park is a great for walks and morning runs.
I normally do not get hotels on half board basis. However this hotel changed a bit my perception. Both Breakfast and Dinner were very nice. Food was tasteful especially the soups.
