Boasting a terrace, Art Hotel Tartini is set in the heart of Piran. The hotel was completely renovated in 2018 with finishing touches provided by one of the most famous Slovenian artists.

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Piran is small and everything is a short walk from this hotel, located right on the sea. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We appreciated the shuttle ride to the bus stop on the day we left, especially since it was during a pouring rain. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. We were sorry that the rooftop bar was closed when we were there.
Featuring a private beach, Barbara Piran Beach Hotel is located in the most beautiful, greenest and quietest part of the Slovenian coast, directly on the seaside.

Wonderful small town on the sea coast, with great restaurants, beautiful views, nice shops, lots of history. I ate along the sea walk several times, got a local private tour, took a bus to the nearest town Portoroz. Would highly recommend seeing Piran!

Right up there with the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terra in the gorgeous seaside village sweepstakes. Breathtaking views everywhere you look. Pretty main square with beautiful 18th and 19th century architecture. Crystal clear water for swimming, although there are no sand beaches, but piers and jetties. Lots of nice restaurants with sea / sunset views

Piran is a very compact town so it is easy to walk but take care with the uneven cobblestones. There is a wide range of eating places. The cement area in front of the sea was a surprise: there is no sand. The free shuttle was handy for getting luggage from the very expensive parking garage (the only option for visitors). Our hostess, Bruna, was a memorable part of the visit.

Piran is an idyllic peninsula of Slovenia, it's a very small village and therefore; I wish I'd stayed less than the 3 nights I did. The nearby towns are bigger and more touristy and have little to offer in terms of culture.
I'd highly recommend using Piran for its ferries, the walking tour that includes food tasting and the salt spa/pans that are able to be reached by bus. But, also relaxing in the sun by the sea and enjoying the delicious restaurants.

We really enjoyed Piran because we experienced it solely on foot. We left our car at our apartment on the hilltop. You can enter Piran by car through a policed barrier or park in the public car parks on the hilltop or cliffside but they looked pricey and very busy - cars queueing.
Piran has atmosphere, lots of charm and character from the fine square with its clock tower boasting views over to Italy (modelled on the tower in San Marco Venezia) The maze of tiny streets with peeling paint in ice cream colours, laundry flying from balconies, geraniums pouring from window boxes, a fine harbour, places to swim and some fabulous restaurants made this town a delight to explore. It feels very southern mediterranean with its crystal clear blue green waters, gelato cafes selling pistachio and peach ice cream. Everyone was friendly when I tried to order in Slovenian. Locals wish you Good Day
We felt Slovenia was a top destination with so many contrasts from bear-watching to climbing in the Julian Alps, kayaking over Lake Cerknica and white-water rafting on the Soca River - what a country!

Piran is beautiful and definitely worth a visit however there are a lot of hills so be prepared. I also would recommend coming by car, as we had planned to take the bus. It arrived full and then we had to spend €150 on a taxi as there wasn't another bus that day. Even if you have a ticket you are not guaranteed a seat which is a terrible system.
Martina is the best host. Her family makes wondefrful wine which they have for sale at great prices. The outdoor kitchen is a great asset with lots to drink in the cooler for guests. The hotel is sparkling clean. The views from the terrace are out of this world and the location, walking distance to the center of town along with parking on site made our trip to Piran perfect All the places we stayed in Slovenia were wonderful but Guesthouse Opara and Piran have a special place in my heart.
Everything! We booked the balcony suite facing the sea. It was marvelous. We fell in love with it immediately and tried booking another night. We watched the sun set on the rooftop lounge. Breakfast was superb, buffet style, but to the next level. We will be staying there again for sure. And next time will book more than one night! There is no parking on property but a hotel shuttle will take you to the parking. loves the fact that it’s such a walking city!
We had an excellent five-day stay at PachaMama in Piran. Perfectly located almost at the main square, it was close to everything yet quiet enough for peaceful nights. There’s plenty to do nearby, and the area is great for leisurely walks. The staff was notably super friendly and helpful, assisting us with parking outside the city. What really impressed us were the sustainable features of the hotel. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Piran!
The location - awesome. Right in the centre of the town, 2 min walk to the main square, 5min to the nearest bus station and the seaside. Quiet, dog friendly and nicely furnished. The host Matic helped us with the luggage and parking directions, very friendly and easy-going dude. Because the apartment was not booked until the day after, we were given the chance to check out later than usual. Very good value for the money!
Beautiful small hotel, fabulous location, steps from Tartini Square. Room was spotless and very well appointed. Staff were super helpful and kind, even providing us a couple of free tickets to a concert that night. Breakfast was provided by a restaurant on the square, with outside seating and table service. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.
Everything was great! The rooms are located super central and all nice spots are reachable in walking distance. The staff gave us some tipps on where to go and was flexible with arrival.
The parking situation in piran is a bit tricky and challenging though but even there the staff was helpful
Very nice apartment, just enough for two people. Excellent location in the heart of Piran. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, gave us detailed instructions upon arrival. Piran center is out of parking limits, so be prepared to carry your luggage depending on where you park.
Nice and spacious apartment with a great view. Free parking opportunity available which is worth a lot in Piran. Everything is close by. The old town is a nice walk/hike from the flat away. We received excellent restaurant and beach recommendations upon arrival.
The location is perfect; right in the centre of Piran. Parking (Free) is outside of the town but only a 15 minute (pleasant) walk away: there is also a free shuttle bus. The apartment was comfortable, clean and quiet and the host was easy to contact.
Beautiful location with seaview in Piran. The rooms are nice, equipped with quit air conditioning and comes with free parking. Beach and restaurants are a nice walk. The host is very friendly and helpful- gave us very good restaurant recommendations.
Unbeatable location in central Piran. Clean, comfortable, modern facilities. Fully equipped kitchenette. Free parking in a lot served by a municipal shuttle service. Clear instructions for comfortable arrival and access for late check in.
All was nice. It was in the sity center, parking was close, and there was shuffle bus, so logistically all good.
Host was amazing, Karin, she welcomed us in such nice way, and was there to help with anything.
Recommendation♥️
The apartment was very nice and really well located. It had everything you need for a couple of days!
The owners, although we did not meet them, gave us lots of details about parking and it was easy to communicate with them.
Location is very good and easy reachable, hotel has arranged parking facility, which is extreme plus in the town such as Piran. Breakfast is tiny, but made per guests preferences.
Apartment was clean, had everything needed for cooking, good wifi, TV, nice balcony with sea view, free parking, comfortable beds, walkable distance to downtown, welcoming owner
In Piran, you park your car outside the town. The Staff went out of their way to facilitate the parking and shuttling at any hour of the day.
Location of the hotel is perfect.
Close to the main square and water, as well as temporary parking for getting luggage to hostel. Clean facilities. Room had its own controllable AC unit.
