This is a place to sleep, no more, no less. Although the staff only speak minimum English they really do their best to help you. We also left our luggage here for free during our 3 day Quilotoa loop.

The only reason to stay here was to get an early bus to the Quilotoa loop. Walked round and there were zero attractions to visit. Even the churches were shut but that may have been due to the State of Emergency. Didn't eat out because I didn't see anywhere open I fancied eating in.

Though not much to do in the city, it's nevertheless a convenient stop for accessing all the nearby volcanoes and lakes. The city has a potential, it needs a bit of tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stay rather than a quick passing through.
Located in the very center, perfect location, with a free private car park. very convenient place in general. big room with comfy beds. we just had a problem with one of the lights in the room that could not be switched off despite our attempts. we stayed one night and needed to leave early the morning after so we could not try breakfast but if you need to spend one night in Latacunga, this is a very good option, especially for the location
This is a very affordable stay that I’d recommend to anyone stopping in Latacunga before adventuring into Cotopaxi or Quilotoa. The buss stop is walkable, there are many restaurants near by, and Victor Hugo is an incredible host that generously shares information about the surrounding nature and treks. They also offer free luggage storage which is really amazing and safe.
A very nice stay in Latacunga. Location is excellent , just in front of the plaza. The owner and staff are very welcoming and attentive. Wifi was working very well. Room was comfortable. We paid for the breakfast and it was copious and delicious. This place is great deal for the price. We would go back
Great value for money. The hostel isn't far from Terminal Terrestre. It's very popular place to spend a night before and after going to Quilotoa Loop and to store a luggage .
The breakfast was great and tasty. It was hot water with no problem to switch between hot and cold water.
The dorms are fine.
I stayed at Hotel Rosim for one night and would recommend it. Staff were very nice and helpful even though I speak only the very most basic Spanish. I was allowed to check in early. The location in Latacunga is great, and breakfast is large and very tasty. Wifi worked well.
lovely light and airy colonial environment. very helpful owner who speaks English. on his recommendation and arrangements we returned to Quito after trip to Cotopaxi, instead of another night in Latacunga. free luggage storage while doing Quilatoa loop hike.
The breakfast was tasty and had some variety with a yoghurt.
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable.
The hotel is located on a 3min walk from the city centre.
During our stay the staff was very helpful and able to answer our questions.
Hotel Rosim looks a bit old fashioned but everything else makes up for it. The staff is incredibly helpful (owner even drove us to the bus station), the location could not be better and they have an amazing breakfast. Could not ask for more.
Staff was really nice. They recommended us a very good sushi restaurant. I wouldn't expect it in Latacunga. They also helped us with a trip to Cotopaxi and laguna Quilotoa. Plus is also a parking and lot of restaurants nearby.
The location was central, to national parks in the area. It was also walking distant to several nice restaurants within the central city.
Additionally, the hotel was gorgeously decorated.
Hotel Huasicama is such a beautiful place. Very clean, nice host, and great breakfast. He let us keep our luggage there while we hiked the Quilotoa Loop.
Recommend!
Very comfortable bed, nice room overall with a flat screen TV and sitting area. Good breakfast, good proximity to the bus station and the centre of Latacunga.
