The staff was super friendly and the included breakfast was really good. The best part for me was the amazing views of the mountains that surrounded the cabin.

Extremely friendly owner Vinicio, easy to reach via email or WhatsApp. Vinicio even organized my ride from the UIO airport with a local taxi driver Angel, who gave me valuable information about the area and even brought me a tasty local kefir. Clean room, comfortable bed, delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I especially liked farm eggs, grilled trout and freshly squeezed juices. Excellent way to taste Ecuadorian cuisine. Super location between hot springs within few minutes walk.

The rooms are very comfortable. Opt for one with a fireplace. They stoke and light the fireplace just before retiring for the night. The restaurant has excellent food options and beer +liquor is also available. Everything is reasonably priced.
There are several pools, all with varying temperatures. The atmosphere at this hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway. The property offers secure parking, good wifi throughout, and good quality linens and towels.

Breakfast has fruit, juices, coffee and much more than you expect, but the food served in restaurant must be improve, in quantity and variety.
The cabins are so expensive for the accommodation which provide, specially, the tiny and small beds in the second floor, with out any other simple and cheap furniture to store your clothes.
Bat towels are older, needs to be replace and improve these quality, if you are paying for a luxury hotel spa in Papallacta area.

A great place to visit if you're in Ecuador - some brilliant walks around the area (although be prepared for cold, wet weather in high altitude!). Thermal baths are a great place to relax, though do get busy on weekends and public holidays.
We visited Papallacta primarily to visit the baths fed by the hot springs inside the ‘Termos de Papallacta’ resort. There is a hotel inside the resort, but it’s very expensive. Mamallacta is a wonderful alternative as it is located just a few minutes walk from the entrance to the resort and is a great deal more affordable.
Additionally we found Mamallacta Lodge to be comfortable and clean. The food was good, and the quality of service offered by the staff was exceptional.
The thermal baths in Papallacta are a 5-minute-walk away from the Hostal, so its poosition is truly ideal. It's very rural and simple, but that's what I liked about it. No big luxury, just the simple bare necessities (and loooots and lots of blankets that make the night comfy and warm <3) and the usual continental breakfast that fills your stomach just right. The scenery is beautiful and it is quiet. Nothing more to wish for, to be honest, for that absolutely fair price.
it was beautiful - an artist has taken recycled materials and created a place of fun and unique beauty. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and well laid out. My shower was delightful - great water pressure and so lovely to shower within a stained glass wall! The dining area was a pleasure to sit in and enjoy yourself. Also, the hotel is so easy to walk the thermal springs - we stayed and watched the sunset from the baths before a short walk home.

Adorable place, and the only place to stay in Papallacta for folks seeking a quality inn with high standards of accommodation and service. Cabins are so cozy, well appointed and right beside the private hot spring areas. We were there mid week with hardly any one else around so it was bliss. The weekends are usually heavily crowded. Lovely hiking trails and majestic views of ice-clad Antisana volcano when the clouds cleared.
We loved the nature hike, the staff, and of course, all the thermal pools! We also visited the spa several times during our stay. Estephanie (we are so sorry for misspelling your name :( ) was especially helpful. She helped arrange taxis to the airport and even prepared a to-go breakfast when we had to leave at 6:30am! We loved our stay so much that we actually came to visit twice during our time in Ecuador.
I saw some negative complaints, which I don't understand. I have no negative complaints.
Sure it is a budget hotel, if you want 5 stars, pay 150 a night up the street. It's an extremely good budget hotel, very cheap.
The staff was wonderful. Stayed up past midnight to greet me from my late flight. Got up early to make sure my taxi arrived on time foe my early flight.
Very close to the banos, two
Mamallacta is a magical place! The whole hotel is creatively designed out of recycled materials (think doors on the ceiling and huge murals everywhere) with stunning views of the mountains, the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful, delicious breakfast, and it’s a short 3 minute walk from the thermal baths. We loved every minute of our stay and would recommend it to everyone.
The hotel is very near to the entrance of the thermen. The people working here are super helpful: you can also buy a ticket in the hotel with 1$ discount, they have a fast laundry service, and we were able to get dinner even though we arrived late in the evening. Very happy overall!!
All of the facilities -- the pools, the rooms, the dining room, the walking paths -- were beautiful and well-kept. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the hot springs just amazing. The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation back to Quito.
Very big sign to direct us to the right place and close to the main road. Less than 10-min drive to famous Papallacta Hot Springs. A local hot spring just next by. Stuff was very helpful when I had questions.
This is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and having a pool just outside the door was wonderful. The food from room service was great but the breakfast could offer more options for a hotel of this price.
The location is excellent - right next to the public thermal baths & a short taxi ride from the Thermas hotel.
The guy who runs the place for friendly & helpful. The breakfast was good.
Superb attention from Cesar at Mamallacta. The hotel is lovely and fun! Beautiful and strategic location next to the hot spring pools!! I can't wait to return!
