The Gorge is very beautiful and there are many hiking and walking trail around. The museum of Tolmin is really interesting. I'd recommend going there with nice weather, there is little to be done when it is raining.

Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure.
Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure. The gorge and castle ruins were good to see and with it being a bigger town then we had been in on our travels we were able to restock our hiking supplies.

Great base for getting out to other hiking areas waterfalls and canyons. The Town centre is dated and quite dirty. Only a few restaurants all with the same items on the menu, but all good quality and very low prices.

Tolmin is heaven on earth.
Tolmin is heaven on earth. Especially in the festival season in the town. The rivers Tolminka and Soca meet, and it's the perfect cooling down in the hot hot heat (it was 32 degrees Celsius). The surrounding area is Slovene Alps at its best with countless activities from biking, paragliding, mountain climbing and canyoning. It has one of the best festivals in Slovenia every summer, and it's a must visit.

Nice quiet place, not many tourists.
Nice quiet place, not many tourists. Beautiful gorge to walk which again was not busy. It’s a quaint little town with few restaurants and ideal for those looking for outdoor activities off the beaten track.
Also if you choose to do the boat tour (which requires a short drive) best deal is to have lunch on it. It’s 14 euro for 2/3 courses including 2.5 hour boat ride. Otherwise you pay for 1 hour boat ride with no food for 8 euro.

Cute little town with breathtaking surroundings, very tourist-friendly, perfect for active holidays. Having a car helps a lot, makes the whole region very accessible, but train is a second best option as well. Restaurant Labrca at the river bank is a must. Excellent food, friendly staff.
Valentina is a very nice host. We were surprised by aperitif snacks for our first evening, and croissants and fresh orange juice for our first morning. We had a calm and relaxing stay in this well-equipped apartment with a great view above the valley of Tolmin. The Tolminka Korita (Tolmin Gorge) is very close and absolutely worth visiting. It was the perfect starting point for many activities in the region and even Italy or the Mediterranean Sea is not that far away. We can only highly recommend to stay some days in Valentina's apartment.
Spacious and cozy apartment in the wilderness surrounding Tolmin. We really enjoyed the cleanliness and practicality of this place, as well as the beds, they were very comfy to sleep in. There is a large entrance hall too, ideal for storing hiking/ski gear. The kitchen space is superb, with plenty of utensils and appliances to use. Overall, this apartment offers everything you need and could hope for while travelling.
Everything. Valentina was the most gracious host I've have ever encountered, and I've encountered many. She made us feel warm and welcome, as if we had been friends for years. The apartment was comfortable and well-decorated, with all of the amenities one could want. The view of Tolmin was unexpectedly beautiful, which made the experience even more delightful.
Communication with owner was OK, he came few minutes after we arrived. He made a copy of our ID’s, gave us keys, told necessary information. It was smooth, clear, fast.
We was looking for accomodation at 19:30, this was the only place on booking.com site close to our position. (Slovenia is not well covered by offers on booking.com)
This is a great option when in the Soca Valley. The owner is so nice. We rented it last minute and the only room available was the small room. It’s small, but manageable for two people. I loved that there was a small kitchen closet for making breakfast each morning. It’s close to the center of town and to the Tolmin Gorge.
Just a perfect stay near the beautiful Tolmin area.
Our host was very warm and friendly and our communication was really great.
The apartment is so confortable, clean and well equipped and the big balcony offers a breathtaking view on the surrondings and nice sunsets.
We really enjoyed our stay in this so cozy property
Host Nina was super friendly and made us feel very welcome- she even bought us lemon cake she had baked! Room was very clean and modern with comfy beds and nice bathroom. Shared kitchen had everything you needed. Location was quiet but near to Tolmin- we had a hire car I think you would struggle without one.
Such lovely and nice hosts. They gave us lots of tips for our walks and other things and enabled us to discover the region in a way we probably wouldn't have done ourselves. Flat is fully equipped, comfortable and very quiet. Perfect for exploring Tolmin and the surrounding area and enjoying nature.
The owner is very kind and helpful, the location is very good (3 min from bus stop, 20 min from Metalcamp beach, 5 min from Tolmin gorge shuttle, 4 min from grocery shop and 3 min from restaurants - all walking times), we had our private bathroom, the rooms are comfortable.
Darko was very friendly! Upon arrival there was a little gift and delicious cheese. A friendly cat kept an eye on us during our stay. The appartement looks just like in the pictures and Tolmin is also a great place to explore the soca valley from.
The owner was so kind and helpful the place was clean and even behind and under stuff was clean. Parking is fine. Everything is close like tolmin georges. Kitchen is clean and we'll equipped. View is exciting. Pizzeria is across the street.
The room was just like the photos, a super comfy bed, a clean, modern bathroom with a perfect shower! Everything was nice and clean. The breakfast had loads of different options to choose from plus the location is really good in Tolmin.
Very clean appartement and a nice outdoor area. The swimming pool has an astonishing view.
It is located in lower Soca valley , very close to Tolmin & Kobarid and the activities around.
- Very spacious and clean accommodation
- Very complete kitchen equipment
- Calm location but really close to Tolmin
- Efficient way to retrieve the keys whatever the time of arrival
Very nice apartment in center of Tolmin, close to restaurants and shops. Apartment was spacious, there was kitchen, big dinning table, nice view to church from balcony.
We loved the location of the apartment as it is only 30-min walk from Tolmin Gorges. And the river Tolminka passing by the apartment, oh, it´s so lovely!!
