Central location (there is a supermarket over the road) with a quiet and comfortable room. Other reviews have mentioned loud traffic noise and noisy guests or homeless people near the hotel - we did not experience any of this. It was a good place to stay for one night whilst passing through.
Located off Highway 101, Best Western Plus Bayshore Inn offers rooms with free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. A full hot buffet breakfast is offered daily.

The staff ws extremely accommodating and the room super clean and comfy. In that neighborhood when driving through some of the other hotels looked questionable so when I arrived here was so happy I had booked it! It was a great hotel for price! The Mexican restaurant right next door was aging food too and I got a discount there because I was staying at this hotel. They also had elevators if you were staying on upper floors. Everything was easy and nice!
Gorgeous redwoods and lots of hike. The town has several fun and unique shops. I highly recommend Ramones Bakery for breakfast and lunch. The Sea Grill offers fine dining and very good steaks and prime rib for non-seafood folks.

Eureka was very pretty just not a lot to do, the mall really wasn't what I would consider a mall. The homeless population is pretty large. I wish they had more options for eating, lots of Mexican restaurants but not many American ones. If you drink diet coke be prepared, we had a very hard time finding them.

Very interesting town I wish I had more time to spend there and explore. Apparently not so safe, a lot of homeless and drug users in the old town part, but nova-days that happens everywhere… the town has something magical about it, definitely great past there somewhere… too bad its not being cultivated. Locals seemed quite interesting and friendly especially at coffee shops and bookstore downtown.

Great nature retreats around the city.
Great nature retreats around the city. Several amazing hiking opportunities. Fantastic views of the majestic sequoia and redwood trees. Plenty of alternatives to go dining out (although most might close a litor early).

Eureka had some cute shops and we had dinner at a really good restaurant called Sea Grill. It's close to the Redwoods, with all kinds of things to see and places to hike, and many beaches on the ocean, with beautiful views.

We went to visit the zoo.
We went to visit the zoo. It was a great experience to see the animals at the zoo. We walked the elevated walk in the zoo up in the giant trees and saw a nature walk outside the zoo. We asked about that walk in the cafe at the zoo. We walked the nature walk outside the zoo and it was so peaceful.
If you like old towns and the preservation of old buildings you will appreciate Eagle House. If you are indifferent you will think this accommodation over-valued. Our room was comfortable and the hotel is very convenient to the old town which has many unique shops. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Full of character, comparatively other hotel options in Eureka appeared to be bland.
This hotel has all you expect from a good 2 star hotel. It is conveniently located, has ample parking space, the rooms are clean, the bed was comfy, the people in the reception are friendly. No fancy stuff or thrills, but it should not be expected. All in all - it is a good choice.
The staff is friendly, helpful and compensates for some of the downsides. The "oasis" area in the courtyard is nice and I can see that it can be good for families and kids. They offer a free shuttle service to and from Eureka restaurants which is a nice (and necessary) benefit.
We’ve stayed here before and liked our stay. We got a nice quiet room upper floor in the back. The breakfast was very good and enjoyed the fried cut up sausage which I never have seen during all our stays this trip at any other hotel breakfasts.
Location is a plus and a minus. Central to the historic waterfront district but also central to homelessness right outside the gated hotel. This is of course no fault of the owners but rather the reality we all currently live in.
The hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable. We could hear the TV from the next room all night. Some posts mention the homeless in this area. Parking is underneath the hotel, and they lock the gates at night.
Our room was updated and spotlessly clean. Just a couple of blocks away from the downtown area. Across the street from a grocery store. We don't understand why ratings for this hotel are so low.
Nice little cabins on the RV resort just outside Eureka. Clean amenities and very family friendly. We only stayed for a night but would come back if we stop in Eureka again.
The hotel is a short drive to Avenue of the Giants to the south, but also close to Trinidad in the north. Safe place for those who want to visit the forest on a day trip.
Lovely spacious room with large bathroom.
Within walking distance of the old town and harbour.
Supermarket at the back of the hotel.
Staff friendly and helpful.
