We love the location and the room. Please note, the property is outside of the main Yosemite Park and is about 40 min away by car. We didn't mind. The property is quite near the Hetch Hetchy reservoir. Only 1 % of the park visitors make it to the reservoir. We took advantage of the nearness and visited the reservoir one late afternoon.

Nice cabin, got in late so I did not have to wait to enter my unit. Ate breakfast at the place next door, the food was okay but not great. The cabin on the other hand was really nice, well done, super comfy.

The town is some 25-30 minutes from the Rush Creek resort where we stayed.
We only drove through Groveland, it seemed to have a lovely one block downtown with BBs, restaurants, and a few other stores. On the road to Yosemite from San Francisco through Manteca, Groveland is the most picturesque little town.

Had problems finding the correct roads to Groveland, then to Yosemite. I did finally get it all together and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

Unexpectedly charming town with way more facilities then we had imagined. The local saloon is awesome, so is the grocery store. We didn't really have time to explore the other options (as we were there to visit Yosemite) but there were plenty more interesting eating/drinking options around.

I wanted a more plush room.
I wanted a more plush room. This one is adequate but the pillows were too hard and the bedding too thin for winter. Also the bed itself was not plush.
It’s not the fault of Westgate. I tried to book at another more plush hotel but I was told there were no more rooms. Come to find out there were no more rooms at the price Booking.com got to offer. I’m learning.

Our family of 10 stayed for 2 nights very comfortably, the property has central AC and BBQ ready for family fun, there is a local market nearby where we bought foods for BBQ and cooking, over all we are happy and would recommend anyone that heading to Groveland.
Wonderful location, just West of Yosemite. Beautiful old house overlooking the Groveland valley. Lovely big room with full king beds, with a great porch. Spotless room and bathroom, excellent WiFi, welcoming and comfortable common spaces. Easy check-in, easy parking. Britany & Chris are welcoming, friendly, and attentive hosts. Breakfast was made warm to order and delicious. Really a lovely stay.
Lovely house/ cabin in grovelands about 1hr 20 mins away from yosemite village. Very spacious, fully equipped and a great stay with family and kids.
Lots of games to play and a games room which was a hit with the kids.
We were there in July and the lake in grovelands is amazing and so warm that everyone was swimming in it.
Host was very responsive to any questions.
fantastic stay! the facilities at the lodge are great with the tavern and restaurant there. we got upgraded to a 2 bedroom cabin which was lovely. it’s so pretty to walk around at night. watch the sunset, grab a drink, or hang out in your cabin. the location for visiting Yosemite was perfect. would definitely return. also the products in the bathroom were lovely.
Good location, fairly close to Yosemite (40 min or so), however the groveland town is very charming itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was very clean and full of character. The food served at dinner was amazing and the breakfast place next door didn’t disappoint.
Breakfast included. Eggs Benedikt were super delicious. Close to Groveland for Dinner (I recommend the Iron Door Saloon). Perfect if you want to rest for your next day hike at Yosemite NP (30 minute driving distance to the West Gate). Saw more wildlife during our stay there, than in Yosemite NP itself. Awesome night sky!
Excellent property with nice outdoors. Very clean and well maintained in a great location.there are groceries and restaurants nearby . Kind and very accommodating owner who went above and beyond to help us out.
Near rooms is Bucks Meadow caffe, where you can get great dinner... but unfortunately breakfast there was terrible... but still on our more than two weeks trip to USA, we would rate dinner there in top3
Cute, quaint. Room on the small side, but clean. About what you can expect for a historic hotel. We arrived close to 9 so were glad the tavern across the street was able to offer dinner - was good.
The Groveland Hotel was a magnificent stay. The patio is great for an evening cap, and the staff was so accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.
The room and the whole building were ok. The location is good, but not so close to Yosemite. The interesting fact - the oldest saloon in California is near!
